I have never used Quick C, but I have read this book hundreds of times. It has good clear examples of C programming for a PC. If you write C programs for DOS, you will not be disappointed.

This book is a great read. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The way Patrick Whitcomb wrote the story is very original. I especially enjoyed each of Brooke, Roman, Philip's flashbacks to the early days of their friendships and escapades. I felt like I was right their with them, reliving the friendship and love experiences of my early adult and college days. Patrick Whitcomb brings the story full-circle at the end with an interesting twist.

I recommend A Walk In Autumn's Mist as a great book for anyone.

A basic book that simply leads young school children through various experiments related to water along with a historical outlook realted to the the given water experiments. It is most ideal for middle school children (5th grade and above). Though it is a suitable book for younger grades with appropriate supervision of the water experiments. Interesting facts are paired with historical references to famous scientist. This book is ideal for the classroom or at home. It is worth the money. Andrea Cavanaugh, MS Ed.

Pre-packaged Perfection

Review Date: 2008-02-19
At a time when artists have an unprecedented array of high-tech tools from which to choose, Wayne Edson Bryan, the most relentless vivisectionist in the visual arts, investigates the vast, evolving organism that is the information age using the time-honored staples of signage: enamel paint, brushes and wooden panels. Choosing painting as a medium for examining a society driven by computers and light-speed telecommunications seems absurd. How could any paintings capture the complex commingling of light, color and form, of speed, spirituality and venality that inundates the world at the begining of the 21st century? Yet Bryan's paintings do. If you are interested in: contemporary art, computer technology, biology, mathematics, physics, astronomy, genetics, chemistry, advertising, business, popular culture, paradox or glitch aesthetics, then there's something in this catalog for you. Beautifully printed images and a facinating read that will make you think about your world in a new way.

As anyone who's gone on the on-line search knows the sheer abundance of the websites can make it difficult to find the information that you're looking for. Provides with completely revised information that reflects the latest web directory based on interests, subjects, catagories, and many more, this book can super-change your on-line search.

So, bid farewell to the futile and frustrating web excursions. Whether you're looking for vital information or just want to know a place to hang out and kill a little time, this book helps you get where you want to go. It will be a wonderful value to many readers. I recommend it.

Weibull Analysis
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2007-12-09
I recently started working in reliability, and I began seeing the Weibull distribution on a regular basis. I started reading about the Weibull distribution, but other than an brief overview, and some theory, nothing I found really helped me understand why I was using the Weibull distribution. This book provided what I was looking for. It is written from the viewpoint of someone who is trying to apply the Weibull distribution to everyday problems. The best part is the book comes with a slick Windows based software package to perform the calculations. And the software is a full version. It isn't a trial version. I wish this book was hardcover.

This book contains Ashley Bryans wonderful illustration that are related to the music in the book and Christmas. This book has five full sheet music version of songs. (Not for the novice or beginning pianist.) Although I did not recognize all the songs (four are not traditional Christmas songs), once I played the music and read the words, I saw how they related. In fact, I bought the soulful rendition of "Go, Tell it on the Mountain" to my chior. It is written in that gospel music, church manner that was perfect. I am going to use the book for this years Christmas play. I checked it out of the library right before christmas last year and did not have time. Great book. Beautiful picture. Meaningful and moving music. A great buy!
