Bryan Langdo illustrates a wonderful new story for ages 3-7 in The Stuffed Animals Get Ready for Bed, in which a girl's stuffed animals are not at all ready to go to sleep. What's a little owner to do? But she has some ideas on how to calm them down, in this different kind of 'go to bed/get sleepy' tale.

Nikki Giovanni is one of the finest writers of the century. If you and your child love words and appreciate the highest quality modern poetry you will both enjoy snuggling together and sharing this special picture book for children. The book evokes comfort and warmth as it explores rainbows, winter days, the taste of chocolate and other ordinary aspects of daily life. The bold drawing of African American girls and boys and everyday surroundings are especially imaginative.

It'sa wonderful way to introduce your child to new or unusual words and to how beautiful the sound of spoken English can be.

Highly recommend this as a part of your child's collection.

Okay, as much as the next person I like maps too, and while this guide didn't have any, that doesn't matter cuz the level of detail in the walkthrough was good enough for me!

The amount of time they took to put this guide together makes this a very good guide. They were very content on helping you get started in a section dedicated to completely helping you learn the basics. They explain the use of items. The explain all the enemies and ways to defeat them.

The walkthrough was very good. While it didn't have maps who cares? The other two guides had maps and they weren't even the best! What made the walkthrough good was that they had a quick reference guide in the back and that was only to help you find mushrooms, ace coins, and yoshi eggs if you wanted to get through the level in a hurry. Crystal clear screenshots basically dominated.

The secrets were well done while I still was able to find some tricks that I was stupidly trying out to see if they worked (and did but hey they were stupid), they actually told me what would happen if I got all the Ace coins in the game, they actually TOLD me what would happen if I collected all the yoshi eggs too.

They completely covered the Super Mario Bros. classic very easily. The guide was so detailed. I have to recommend this guide out to anyone there is. While it still isn't the best its better than the other two I saw. Keep this in mind because the guide is very decent and well put together.

This book has something for every one. It is a great starting point for some one to discover the riches to be found in the early illustrators of children's books. It is also a great gift as the reader can choose from fairy tales, fables and nursery rhymes.

Bringing Science back to the universe
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2007-10-30
In the footsteps of Einstein and Copernicus, Dr. Belrad strives to undo the errors of an academia obsessed with its own brilliance, while at once reestablishing that science is about questioning, not "proving".

In these efforts, he's spectacularly succeeded.

For the first time, conclusive research has been done focusing on all of the key elements at the heart of the Big Bang Theory, not some obscure 'if or maybe' type postulate of one of the theory's many "adjustments".

Belrad presents all the background information, his research, and his findings in an easy to understand way, so that everyone can grasp both the nature of the controversy, and the world-shaking conclusions. More, he goes above and beyond, and reveals shocking insights that emerged from this research that will forever change the face of the universe.

"Testing the Big Bang" is a must read for anyone interested in the facts of our universe's reality and origins, and for all people who consider themselves critical thinkers. Beyond the sheer magnitude of challanging this titan of a theory, and taking it down like Goliath, Belrad makes it clear that when science stops questioning itself, it stops being science. Arguably, like Einstein before him, shining the light of reason on that hollow of corruption, is the greatest contribution of all.

After reading each story I wanted to jump in the car, drive to these places and meet these people. The author's own offerings were just as complelling. On a selfish note, I wanted to hear more stories set in the Texas panhandle or here in the Red River Valley. I'll just hope for more stories to come. Its also refreshing to read a book about Texas geography void of any political shots from the author. Thumbs up!
