This little story of Little Gray Rabbit is a lovely tale of love. Little Gray Rabbit attempts to teach the ways of survival to his new brothers and sisters. As a duckling, owlet, and chick look on, Little Gray Rabbit runs into embarrassment and troubles with each lesson. However, in the end, his brothers and sisters learn about bravery and social responsibility, two lessons that Little Gray Rabbit hadn't intended. This is a great story for kids and adults. Lorinda Bryan Cauley's illustrations are wonderfully fun.

It is a must read for any parent and child. The plot is very relatable to true life. A litte bunny is lost and can't find his mommy. He looks and looks, but can't find her anywhere. Finally the mother finds him. It remind me of when I was a kid in a department store and I lost my mother. I was so tired of look that I curled up in one of those display beds and she finally found me. My 3 year old daughter and I love this book. I have read it to her for almost 2 years now and she still likes to hear it.

LOVE WILL FIND A WAY brings to light the effects of divorce on everyone involved.

Review Date: 2007-01-16
After twenty-five years of marriage Emily Franklin's husband informs her that he wants a divorce. Even before their marriage, Emily had forgone her own dreams and desires in favor of Robert's expectations. Being on her own is scary, but Emily makes the choice to rebuild her life by following her own wishes and for the first time gain a sense of independence.

Robert is having a mid-life crisis. Instead of buying a fancy car and dying his hair, he makes the decision to divorce his faithful wife in favor of a younger mistress. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize the horrible mistake he's made until after the divorce is finalized and he's destroyed his family.

When Robert asked Emily to go away to their favorite Inn for the weekend, Emily thought it was for a romantic tryst. Robert just wanted to go somewhere private so he could tell Emily that he wanted a divorce without being interrupted by the constant flow of people and demands in their home. Emily never saw the devastating news coming. Hindsight is 20/20 though and there were signs that she hadn't heeded.

What would you do if after being married for twenty-five years your husband decided he wanted a divorce? Rant and rave, douse his clothes in gasoline and burn them, fight the divorce, sue for alimony? Not Emily! She gave Robert his divorce, refused alimony, went to work for the library system (she'd been a volunteer at a local library for years), and set about making a new life for herself. Emily meets each new challenge head on, including their son's attitudes regarding the divorce and discovers that there is more to her than just being Mrs. Robert Franklin.

Barri Bryan's LOVE WILL FIND A WAY brings to light the effects of divorce on everyone involved. Instead of being negative though, Ms. Bryan uses divorce to show Emily's growth as she becomes sure of herself. For the first time she's making decisions for herself instead of what her husband or children want. By the time Richard admits to his mistake, Emily's a new woman with a mind all her own. I adore the strength that Emily displays as she takes on this new phase in her life, and that she was willing to do it without depending on Robert's support. LOVE WILL FIND A WAY will draw readers into the storyline and touch your heart as you imagine the feelings of each of the characters depicted. Wonderful story.

I must say that the lyricism of Pen's poetry is a true joy to read. The lovely rhythm of his words transports one to another place; laying bare raw humanity, showing the depths of that which is the rare fragility of life. His brutally honest look at the world is gorgeous. This is a book I'll treasure.

great rendition of 1/3 of 1/2 of a great book! Very cool, get it! and get volume1 too, and vol3 when it comes out later! yeah!

I, like many people, skipped buying the comics for this. It's just too cool and too convenient to have them all bound together into a single book.

1/3 of 1/2 of Magician? huh?
- Magician is a book, it's a great book, along the lines of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, but far more accessible, but just as epic, if not more so, and much more detailed. I highly highly recommend reading it if you haven't.
- Magician Apprentice, is 1/2 of Magician, and is released as a paperback book of it's own.
- This book, Magician Apprentice Volume 2 (the graphic novel by the Dabel brothers and published by Marvel), is 1/3 of Magician Apprentice.

What's the book about? (no spoilers):
Well, this volume 2 continues the story of pug and thomas, and their travels across midkemia to warn the prince of krondor and rally his support against the coming invasion from the otherworldly Tsurani army. The story begins at castle crydee with a troop of soldiers leaving for a winter journey across midkemia through danger ridden forests. This is a story of magic, adventure, coming of age, and danger. It's a dashing bold adventure about magic, fighting, exploration, court intrigue, and you need to know about it. :)

Art:
The art is certainly improved, and holds up really well in this volume. In Volume 1, they changed artists 1/2 way through, and the art kind of changes abruptly and degraded in quality, but then gets better and better. In Volume 2, the art is good, and you wont think anything of it if you had seen the 1st volume. It appears to be the same artist, but he's really got his style down and it's great. And everyone will think so. The coloring is full color (shaded with gradients), glossy pages, it's quality stuff for your eyes to behold.

Story:
The story has been adapted to the comic style really well. It's been a while, maybe 8 years since I last read the book Magician (and I've read it maybe 3 times total), and it really makes sense and I think does not lose anything from the books (it tells the story, and shows you the details in the pictures). The artists do a great job framing the scenes, and you can really tell they read the book and worked hard to match up concepts in the books in the imagery. The images tell the story as much as the word bubbles do. A lot of thought was put into this.

Quality:
The book feels great, hard cover, about the size of a comic book, but thicker, since there's 6 (episode 7-12) in there... The pages are full color, and beautifully colored with the full spectrum with smooth gradients. Much attention to detail has been put into this book.

Convenience:
It's great to have 6 comics bound together into one book. I am not a comic fan, and I really don't like buying all the thin little books. It's too annoying for me. I would prefer all 18 bound in an uber book. But 3 volumes is fine by me, I can do that... And all 18 might be a little unwieldy to hold anyway, it would make for a heavy book... So I like it this way, just fine, in 3 volumes. Thank marvel for pulling the 6 comics together into a single book. :)

While you're all waiting for Volume 3, go read Magician, the book. It seriously rocks.

4.5 blue ribbons

Notorious rogue and gambler Chadwick Hamilton has dreams of building a town on a plot of land he owns. If he's going to succeed, he'll need more than just his prestigious Boston family upbringing to convince backers to support him, he'll need a wife. When Chad wins another man's mail order bride in a poker game he thinks his prayers have been answered - only his bride-to-be isn't exactly the docile, proper young lady he was expecting.

Cherry Blossom may have attended Miss Lavenia Sitwell's Atlanta School for Young Ladies but she wasn't a student, she was a kitchen maid. By no stretch of the imagination is Cherry a docile female, in fact she's full of modern beliefs and to Chad's horror she's an advocate of the women's suffrage movement. He'll have to take her firmly in hand and put an end to those foolish notions before she meets his potential backers.

Cherry spends more than two hours waiting in the coach station for someone to come retrieve her. When Chad finally arrives and introduces himself, she learns that her fiancé had bet and lost her in a poker game to Chad. He expects her to fulfill the terms of the contract and marry him. He doesn't need or want a love match, what he requires is a well brought up young lady who knows all the `ins and outs' of proper etiquette. He's in for a rude awakening because despite his misgivings and the questionable behavior of Miss Cherry, Chad marries her the very day she arrives in Texas and then Cherry begins to wreck havoc on his neat orderly life with her argumentative ways and strong beliefs. Chad should be angry but he's finding himself drawn to her outgoing personality and caring nature. What will he do when he discovers that everything he thought about her is a lie?

I've never read a Barri Bryan book I didn't like and this one is no exception! With a fast plot, fun characters, and unexpected dialog MAIL ORDER BRIDE will charm its way right into your heart. I absolutely love Cherry's modern day views and that she's not afraid to voice them and even when she's not voicing them you're privy to her thoughts. Chad has explicit ideals of how a woman should act and it's very funny to visualize the scenes when these two clash over their differences of opinion. This is a fabulous light-hearted story that historical readers will want to add to their keeper shelves.

Review Date: 2007-06-10
At the request of the Public Library Association, Cheryl Bryan (Assistant Administrator for Consulting and continuing Education at the Southeastern Massachusetts Library System) has written "Managing Facilities For Results: Optimizing Space for Services". As a library experiences increases in their patronage and collections, space is a perennial problem. In order to avoid the expenses of building additions to an existing library, or the costs of building a newer and larger library, library boards and library staff members try to carve out new service areas within the space of their existing library structure. "Managing Facilities For Results" is designed to help the library staff to prioritize new services that need space, make plans and identify appropriate locations, present their case to their funding authorities, conduct a 'gap analysis', find resources to reallocate and determine what new items are needed, and to identify building professionals to assist with alterations. Enhanced with twenty-three workforms to support the information and collection process, three toolkits (one providing technical assistance on calculating square footage, one for assessing the message, and one for complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements), and with real-life examples of small to large-sized libraries, "Managing Facilities For Results" is a very highly recommended and invaluable instructional reference and resource for any librarian, library staff, or library board facing the need to provide more and different services within their existing library structure.
