And stylish as Tom Bouden subtly satyrizes the world of erotica on the Internet, and the somewhat dark aspects of searching for sex partners.The somewhat nightmarish nocturnal walks in a park full of disquieting sex offerings and scenes are maybe the most interesting pages of this book. I loved it!

In the interest of full disclosure, I like to read books on prayer. I think that they help me within my own prayer life. I am also a Malcolm Boyd groupie. For over forty years, he has helped me express myself in a honest way to the Lord. This book is a collection of essays from different people on how they pray. It is so interesting and heartfelt. If you like books on prayer, I would recommend this book to you. These essays are from people who are facing death or dealing with grief or at other points within their life journey. Even if you don't personally agree with a particular viewpoint, it is usually worth reading and thinking about.

One of the earliest books written by a holocaust survivor, this unparalleled book describes the dangerous gap between our technical abilities and our "heart" or moral compass that informs how we put new technologies to use. Should be reprinted! It is the book I have recommended most often in the past 30 years.

I am extremely pleased with this book. Of all the math-centers books I have, I keep coming back to this one. (As well as the K-1 version, which I also highly recommend.) The centers are easy to set up and don't take any weird, hard-to-find materials. Also, they are not very complicated so my students understand how to do them after me showing them just once. The centers are also really relevant-- relating perfectly to the standards I teach. The students enjoy the hands-on math action and I see how much it helps the students get a deeper understanding. I highly recommend this book!

"Jackass Brandy" is a book that will be of particular delight to Northern Californians or students of California's more recent history.

Bruno Buti, through witness and participant interviews, coupled with his own recollections from childhood, paints a very interesting and often humorous account of the effect Prohibition had in California's San Francisco Bay Area.

The story is based on the true experiences of Michael Buti and details his efforts in attempting to run a moonshining operation in the San Francisco East Bay community of Castro Valley. The cat and mouse games of the Federal Revenue Agents is interesting and often amusing. Less amusing is the level of corruption found in the various levels of law enforcement bureaucracy.

"Jackass" was the nickname of the particular form of liquor distilled throughout the area as opposed to the more familiar terms "white lightning" or "moonshine" popularized in similar operations in the American South.

"Jackass Brandy" is entertaining and colorul, while filling in important bits of San Francisco Bay Area history. It's a good read!

If you're writing a paper on Japanese Internment Camps, this book is really good. It superbly defines the generation gap of Japanese-Americans during the 1940's. In addition, the foreward to this book is well-written and very helpful. This book helps show what happened to the Japanese during World War 2.
