I just pre-ordered my copy. The authors have incredible skill and ability in the area of leading groups and bringing people together. I am sure this book will be useful to me personally as well as professionally. I can't wait to receive my copy!

Blending regional history with top wine picks and winery hours, Crush On Niagara provides plenty of wine savvy tips to accompany its destination-oriented material on recommended wineries, when to visit, wine features and more.

This was a fantastic book in my experience! It would help to have some science background, but the types of papers vary from being popular articles to more scientific. This is excellent for people that are undergrad science majors, medical students, and physicians that want to know more about this most important field.

I use SpaceMaster, as well as other ICE publications as source materials for my campaigns. This system is easy to incorporate into any existing RPG that needs a touch of the futristic. Check out RoleMaster as well.

From sonnets to blank verse, spiritual and mystical from the ancient to present; from legends and goddesses to love and relationships, mothers and daughters, this reader truly enjoyed the turn of each page and relaxing in the beauty of Steven Shields' crafted forms woven rich in imagery and velvet smoothness to the tongue and senses with lines such as: "When twilight comes with open silky arms." Each poem is a tribute and takes the reader to a different place, time, and emotion and evokes the desire to revisit each work more than once in order to absorb more pleasure. Daimonion Sonata is a beautiful compilation deserving to be a part of any poet lover's collection.

This is a book whose value goes way beyond its subject matter. This book is so valuable because Dennett's participation in fundmental issues of cognitive science, evolutionary theory, and philosophy of mind have drawn comments from so many other leading intellectual figures. By looking at what different authors think of Dennett's various distinct ideas in basic issues of philosophy of mind and evolution, it is possible to learn more about their own, and that seems to be part of what the editors intended to do. That makes this examination of Dennett's ideas, and especially their influence outside of his field, a kind of rosetta stone for understanding many current issues in philosophy and biology.

For example, there is a chapter on the evolutionary psychologists' critique of social sciences, showing how it builds on Dennett's evolutionary cognitivism but strays from it at some points. The contrast helps point out the strengths and weaknesses of both the evolutionary psychologists' and Dennett's views, as well as helping clarify what might remain of the foundations of social sciences once the smoke clears. Similarly illuminating is the chapter on Dennett's participation in debates with Stephen Jay Gould over the search for adaptations in studying human evolution.

Dennett's ideas are presented very clearly in a way that non-specialists can appreciate, and the choice of authors who are experts in other fields (rather than solely philosophers) works well in most cases, showing that ideas do matter, and that good philosophers sometimes do have an identifiable and positive impact on other areas of culture.

Beautifully illustrated, this telling of a cherished Bible story is a great lesson for children (and adults) today. A young man is taken captive and pressure is put on him to compromise, but he remains steadfast to his faith and his standards. He is put to the ultimate test because of his convictions and God delivers him miraculously. And deals with his enemies. And blesses Daniel and his friends.
