Audio CDs for Exploring Medical Language 4 Cd package is a MUST HAVE! I bought another Medical Terminology audio Cd set which is a lot more expensive, and its not even half as good as this: even with its good ratings. Anyone who is doing Allied Health courses or someone who works in a medical facility and needs to communicate well with others using the Medical Language or need to understand the language to improve their skills....this is the audio CD set to buy. You will not need another, not even the one for $29.99....I am sure some of you know which one I am talking. I have it so I am able to compare both of them. This set also explores the Medical Language related to all the systems of the body, which is very good. I bought this not knowing what to expect because no one had given a review before, and I am quite pleased. I bought the other one by looking at the good reviews it got, but after getting this, I do not think I will need the other. The female voice on this is very soothing and she also repeats the majority of the words after giving the definitions. The speed is great without being boring. If you are on the run and does't want to listen to over 3000 terms and definitions (just remember that you don't have to listen to all 4 Cds at once), then you can buy the more expensive one because it only has over 500 common terms. I don't think its worth it, so buy this one. Just wish I had known about this set before, because I just completed my Medical Terminology class, and this would have given me more time to sleep, less study time and saved me $29.99. However, I got an A in my class and will need this CD set as a memory tool. I also bought the $29.99 Cd set after completing the class hoping to use it as a refreshner tool, so that Cd set did not have anything to do with me getting A in class. Exploring Medical Language Cd set also comes in a very good Cd case that will last a very long time, I suspect as long as the Cds last. This is a companion Cd set, but can be used as a study tool along with any other Medical Terminology textbook or by itself as a memory tool(you may just need to ignore the reference to the companion textbook pages). I did not order the textbook because I have completed the course, and we had a different book for our class. That's the reason why I did not know about this Cd set before. Actually I did not mention that I received my set today from Amazon. I am so excited to talk about it I forgot to say that.....thanks Amazon!

My oldest son was a late talker but could communicate every word in this book. Let me explain...for each letter of the alphabet there is a real picture: C for clap has a picture of kids clapping. My son would clap when we got to that page and jump on the J page, point up at the U page, etc...The pictures are great. They're simple, multicultural and colorful. This is also one of my youngest son's favorite books because he loves books with real pictures of other children. Be prepared to read this one over and over again. It's been so well loved by all my children that I just bought 5 copies to give as gifts (although I'll be keeping one for myself in hopes of one day sharing it with a grandchild or two.)

We have quite a few books in this series and my son loves them. I was recently excited to hear that they also have a toilet training one.

I received this book as part of a set from a book club in the mail. The others were messy baby, playtime baby, and baby's potty. The books are great because the piece connected by a ribbon (the baby character) either can be fit into a space on the pages (like a puzzle piece) or used to pretend different scenerios on the pages (like climbing stairs, splashing in the tub, sitting in the highchair, etc.). THe baby is clothed differently on each side, so at the end of the book, baby is changed into new clothes (messy baby), pajamas (goodnight baby), and swim trunks (playtime baby). This is a fun book to read and play with. I highly recommend the whole set.

This well produced book features detailed (yet easy to follow) text, illustrations, charts, photos and diagrams on badminton fundamentals and intermediate skill level techniques and tactics. Be sure to get the updated 1997 or 1998 edition.

This is such a helpful Bible Study book for new Christians. We have used it for years, and I heartily recommend it.

great book. easy to read, understand, and apply. purchased because it is required reading for a graduate school class i'm taking. teacher highly recommended it. the video and cd rom that accompany this book are terrific learning tools.

This book comes with a CD and video. It offers excellent definitions and examples of group counseling skills. In addition it offers a number of written scenarious and exercises to practice understanding counseling responses. The video has a women's group counseling session and an adolsecent group session, The book has a script you can follow which helps to understand the responses of the counselors. The DVD offers shorter scenarios of group counseling that provide more examples of how to respond in different situations.

The book, video and DVD are easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend this book set to anyone who is a student of counseling or a beginning counselor.

This book is exactly what the title states: basic mathematics from the very beginning. Each step is very clear, with reinforcing practice and word problems worked in at every step. The index is very well organized for searching a specific concept or to find exactly when it was introduced. As an educator with the dirty little secret of having "Math Anxiety", I have returned to this book time and again when I need a safe atmosphere for reviewing any mathematical concept. Covers the basic four arithmetical operations, then fractions, decimals, ratios, percent, measure ment, geometry, and introduction to algebra. Excellent!
