I bought this and sent it to my father as a gift. He received it promptly and was pleased.

My father gave me this book and I absolutely loved it. I've read it 3 times and am amazed at the courage these submariners had to do what they did. Of course, many of our sailors were killed directly or indirectly by faulty torpedo tubes. That was a shame.

Great read and the best part is that it's all fact.

This is an incredible book. The author sketched each bridge on the Mississippi River from New Orleans all the way up to Luling, Iowa (pretty much most of the navigable waterway). The book has proved to be a valuable resource to my own research on the river's bridges.

1 Spade. Its preemptive (takes away bidding space from the opponents. A 2 club opener now has to double and then bid to show his strength). You can pass any of pards responses. If pard bids 2 hearts, eh/she will have 5 and you can safely pass a 5-2 fit.
