This was an excellent and very comprehensive review of everything (and I mean everything) about the gay scene in San Francisco. Unfortunately, it was written in 1996 and is now quite out of date and needs revision.

The chapters on the bars and sex clubs are good as are the chapters on restaurants and places to stay but call ahead - many of the places mentioned have closed.

Still worth buying - just be a little cautious before getting yourself into a compromising position.

How could I not LOVE IT!!! I will proudly tell you that I am the "Naomi" named in the book and that every story about every place mentioned is absolutely true!! I even know who the others are that are nicknamed in the various chapters...so watch it. Betty goes to great lengths to bring you the real flavor and spin in the City. Her reviews are brutally honest and they set a high mark for those wishing to make a good impression. This book is must for all those coming to the City. I have even seen one queen reading her copy at the table in Zuni (the restaurant) and grilling the poor waiter/actor/model about all those mentioned in the review!! Grab a Copy Today.

I travel to San Francisco every year and I "never leave home without Betty & Pansy"! They get down to the nitty gritty and give you a feel of what each venue is like and the customers who frequent it. The "Review" is indispensible for any gay or lesbian going to the city by the bay.

Eyes on the Pryze is a rollercoaster of a read! Bradshaw did her thing with this one. I felt like I was right there with every word. The concept of twins living the same rough and tough life but being each other's demise kept me on edge. A great read!

EYES ON THE PRYZE by Felisha Bradshaw is the tale of twin brothers, Chase and Caine, who are unaware of each other because they were separated at birth due to their mother's drug addiction. The mother got Chase back, but Caine was adopted. Each now knows he has a brother somewhere. Each is aware of the other because they are rivals in the drug trade but they have never seen each other; Chase is in Bridgeport, Connecticut and Caine is in New York City. Chase has a falling out with his girlfriend, Phoenix, and she leaves Connecticut to go to college in New York. Chase follows her to explain the misunderstanding and runs into a lot of trouble.

Phoenix's roommate, the daughter of a Columbian drug dealer, is conned by her father into getting close to her in order to get to Chase. Phoenix, being unaware of the duplicity, keeps seeing Chase in restaurants and on the street, not realizing she is really seeing Caine. When Caine asks her out, she goes and feels she has fallen in love with him, even though she has never forgotten Chase. Caine wants to hurt his brother because Chase was raised by their parents while he feels he was thrown away and Chase isn't too fond of his brother because of the rough life he led with their parents. The plot begins to heat up.

EYES ON THE PRYZE is a street story with sophistication and a complicated plot. The main characters are well-drawn and understandable. Some of the minor characters get a bit confusing as they rush in and out of the story. It was a quick and enjoyable read.

Eyes on the Pryze by Felisha Bradshaw is a hardcore, riveting novel about twins separated from drug addicted parents and growing up in the drug game. This book gives you an inside look at the drug game, ride-or-die chicks, hostile environments and brotherly love.

Chase and Caine Pryze are twin brothers who are taken from their parents due to drug addiction. Chase is reunited with his family but Caine is left on his own. Chase is growing up in Bridgeport, Connecticut and Caine is running wild in the streets of New York City. Each brother thinks the other is living a good life, until they come face-to-face and find out they are rivals in the drug game.

When Chase loses his girlfriend, Phoenix, to his estranged brother, Caine, he thinks his world has come to an end. But little does he know that it is just the beginning of his problems when his right-hand man runs off with the drop off money, and his drug connection is missing; Chase's well runs dry.

Can Chase come out of this battle alive? Will he reconcile with his long lost brother? Which brother will Phoenix choose? This is a fast-paced drama that will have you craving for more, I recommend this book to readers of all genres who enjoy a good story.

If you are a fan of urban fiction, you should pick up "Eyes on the Pryze" by first time author Felisha Bradshaw. "Eyes on the Pryze" is the story of two brothers. Chase and Caine Pryze are twin brothers who were born to a crack addicted mother. The brothers grew up separately. Despite not growing up under the same roof, both brothers had tough childhoods and each brother secretly believed that the other brother was living a better life.

As adults the brothers meet again, but under unscrupulous circumstances. Both of them are now big time drug dealers. Caine runs the drug game in New York, while Chase holds down the drug game in Bridgeport, Connecticut. When the brothers meet, it's less than friendly. They are now rivals in the drug game and will stop at nothing to destroy the other one.

If you like urban fiction, such as books by Shannon Holmes and Kwan, you will enjoy "Eyes on the Pryze".

Yes, Virginia, religious addiction does exist!

I disagree strongly with Fr. Booth's personal spiritual views, but I agree with him that religious addiction is a significant problem. My favorite part of the book is the one in which Fr. Booth describes an intervention held to try to persuade a male religious addict to go into treatment for his addiction. I do have significant differences of opinion with him in other areas, however. For example, I wish he had spent more time talking about people who were addicted to New Age forms of spirituality, or even atheism or skepticism. He pays lip service to the fact that these forms of religious/spiritual belief can be addictive, then spends the bulk of the book focusing on evangelical/fundamentalist Christian religious addicts. At least those are the examples of religious addiction he gives in the book, almost as if this is the only form of religion to which one can become addicted (while offering a token acknowledgment that other religions and spiritual practices can be addictive). I also wish he hadn't talked about the family roles in dysfunctional families (the Family Hero, the Scapegoat, and so forth). This part was too neat - too pat, as if all dysfunctional families had exactly four children, so that each one could fit into one of the four roles of dysfunctional families (one Family Hero, for example, or one Clown).

Booth defines religious addiction and abuse then goes over a twelve step program of recovery. This book shines a light into the dark recesses of religious abuse. The person who is the most addicted and abusive may very well be the person who is admired by outsiders for their religious conviction. The children and spouses see a very different picture. I think this book would be helpful to someone who was willing to consider the possibility that they have a problem. I think it is more likely to be read by someone affected by another's addiction than by the addict herself. Booth says he has success in his practice of working with religious addicts so perhaps they can be helped. In my experience though it seems that the people who fit his description of a religious addict are the ones who would never consider that they may be wrong or that their religion is causing a problem. For these cases Booth presents ideas for staging an intervention when the addict/abuser will not admit to the problem. Good luck.

One problem I have with the book is his anti-atheist bias. He wants to bring the people to a better spirituality but considers atheism to be a negative outcome. He sees it as a backlash to abuse. He must be aware that people can arrive at atheism in many different ways. He seems pretty open minded otherwise. People who want a healthier relationship to their faith without giving it up should be comforted by the fact that he is in no way trying to talk them out of their faith. He is a man of the cloth himself.

I'd recommend this book for someone who thinks his or her religious involvement may be getting out of hand. For the abused children or spouse of an addict it's a start only. I'd like to see a lot more awareness that religion can be used in such a damaging way and this book is a step in that direction. Abused children are in the worst position since society doesn't really recognize this type of abuse and is not prepared to do anything about it. (I read the hardbound version.)

This book is amazing. i read the older version. It taught me how what i thought was certain powers and divine messages and things the world was showing me were really my own fears that i misplaced and transformed into a god. This book and the help i later recieved from a therapist were able to return me back to society in a more wordly way. This book was fantastic in that it helped show me how when i was suffering i was creating false illusions and ways out of it through God thinking that God would solve all my problems, when in fact i needed to confront my emotional issues in real life. I am very greatful for Father Leo for taking me out of my religous persecution i was brining on my self and showing me how i was torturing myself emotionally in the name of God. How these tortures were not based on God but on my own fears and my desires to heal myself. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who feels that they are treating themselves poorly in the name of god. For example anyone beaeting themselves up believing sex or masterbation is wrong while it is a gift the earth has granted us.

Wow, what an insight!

This a book that I just couldn't put down until I read it completely through. Now I have such a better understanding of religious addiction, why some members of my family acted the way they did, and why they still attempt to convert me to their beliefs. This is a must read for anyone that is struggling for answers.

I only wish this book had been more helpful than it is, but that is not the fault of the author. Religious addiction is a stubborn malady, and one that can best be confronted by the addict him/herself. As one who has lost at least one sibling to this painful affliction, I wish it could have given me an easy answer. There are no easy answers to this dilemma.

One of the brightest conclusions Father Leo makes is that one need not give up religion, or God, to develop a healthy spirituality. It would be an incredible challenge indeed, but he assures those who are seeking that giving up God is not the solution to confronting religious addiction. He is very clear about the difference between "religion" and "spirituality," something that is crucial in the healing process.

Father Leo also states that one can be addicted to atheism, and that atheism can be a religion in and of itself. Not necessarily that it is, but that it can become one.

The saddest and most frightening thing he points to is the inevitable outcome of mental breakdown if religious addiction is not treated. He outlines very carefully the possiblity of a loving intervention by those who are concerned for the addict, but when the addiction is religion (translated as "God" by the addict) denial comes way too easy and finding others willing to confront this denial is a very difficult challenge.

I was heartened to find that there is treatment for this addiction, there are places to turn. It is a relatively new field, but it gives me hope. I, too, wish there was acknowledgement of the harm this addiction does to the children of the addict -- but I don't know that I would put any state agency in charge of dealing with it.

One other concern that I have as I continue to study this subject is the subtlety of its intrusion into politics. When it comes to addiction, there IS no separation of church and state. In fact, this separation, if it exists at all, *only* exists for the state -- not for any church, unless it benefits *them*. They don't pay taxes, but they still find it perfectly acceptable to advocate for legislation from the pulpit and to lobby our representatives and to pass out post cards for the congregation to fill out in the middle of a service. It's a despicable practice, and one that becomes even more troublesome within the context of spiritual addiction.

Treatment for this malady has never been more important than it is today.

I just finished reading this and I really couldn't put it down. Nick Bradshaw's art is perfect and I can't picture the comics being drawn by anyone else. The story fits into the already ludicrous Evil Dead storyline perfectly and every fan who reads this won't see it as anything less than a perfect continuation to the story of Ash and his war on the Deadites.

Speaking of the story, the writing is top-notch here, with crazy twists occurring to stop Ash at every turn and great humor that will have you smiling as you read every blood-soaked page. This is a really fun comic, and every Evil Dead fan who loves comics or remotely enjoys reading should make an effort to pick this one up.

This thing is sweet! Ive wanted a sequel to "Army of Darkness" for sooooo long, and this collection has eased my suffering! The animation is terrific, and its a pretty fresh new story. Though, lots of the one liners and things are taken from the film, but they still manage to turn them around and make them funny again. And there are definately some new quotes and awesome scenes to look at! Totally worth the purchase. I can't wait until my "Shop 'til you drop Dead" collection comes in the mail!

This is a really well done follow-up to the Raimi films. If you are a fan of the films, you probably will not be disappointed with this graphic novel as it stays quite true to the films.
The artwork is quite good too. The slightly cartoony look of the drawings works far better than an ultrarealistic rendering would have done.
A nice deadite treat.

Gillian Bradshaw is one of the best historical novelists out there today. What I like is her character development; the people in her novels seem to act and think like real people and not stereotypes or cardboard figures. This is a good read but not her best. I think Island of Ghosts, also about other barbarians serving in the Roman army in Britain, was better.

Gillian Bradshaw was born in the US and was brought up in Washington, Santiago, Chile and Michigan. She is a classics graduate from Newnham College, Cambridge. She has won much acclaim as an historical novelist. She lives in Cambridge with her husband and their four children.

This book is no different to Gillian Bradshaw's other novels (I had no idea she had written so many, until I checked the list) in respect of the fact that it is beautifully researched and written with the authority that only knowledge can bring.

The storyline takes place in Roman Britain, it is the year 208 AD and the Roman occupation of the island has been ongoing for some considerable time. As yet the Romans have been unable to subdue the barbarians of the north. The Emperor Septimus Severus has recently arrived in Britain and hopes that his presence will add support to the task in hand. Memnon, an African scout, has also arrived on the island with his cavalry unit.

When by chance Memnon saves the life of a young attendant of the Empress, he is drawn closer to the imperial house and this allows him to see the tensions and in-fighting that exist there. The war with the barbarians will test their mettle to the limit, it is essential that the back biting and internal rivalry of the Imperial party are put to one side . . .

I am a huge fan of Gillian Bradshaw's Historicals. I never find any fault with them regarding historical accurateness and a thrilling plot. Again she wrote a winner. The story is about an african soldier (scout) in Britain fighting the barbarians and at the same time uncovering an intrigue within the imperial house. While doing this he has to cope with the prejudices and the superstition of the 'Barbarians' and the Romans as well who are not used to dark skinned people.

I love Gillian Bradshaw's books, all of them. I gave this one 4 stars because it isn't her best, but even so it is better than 99% of historical novels out there.

One of the best things about this book (a common theme in many of her works) is human beings from contrasting cultures trying to communicate and understand each other. Skin color is one theme, but Memnon, an Ethiopian, has culturally more in common with the "wild" northern tribes than he does with some of the "civilized" Romans, many of whom are either corrupt or stupid, or both. I enjoy Bradshaw's pulling back the curtains on the immense cultural and racial diversity of the Roman Empire, where hundreds of different groups were forced to get along with each other.

Subtle, complex, layered plotting, with lively action scenes and an interesting exploration of one man's inner doubts and fears.

Gillian Bradshaw continues in Kingdom of Summer where she left off in Hawk of May with one major change...she changes the point of view from Gwalchmai to Rhys, his servant. I like the observations Rhys makes of Gwalchmai and I think the switch in perspective adds much to a character I thought I had come to understand in the earlier book. There is a bit more sorcery involved in this book but I love that it is down played for the most part. I also love that there is no sign of Merlin or Lancelot; and Guinevere remains a barely mentioned figure in the background. After reading nearly every Arthurian legend I can lay my hands on, I am excited to find this author's perspective to be truly different from the norm. Bradshaw's characters have interest in their own right-- without the crystal balls and shape changing and time travel that so many authors depend upon for a cheap attempt to add a thrill to the story of Arthur. And really, I guess this story is very little about Arthur - it's about Gwalchmai and it is GREAT!

The "Kingdom of Summer" is the 2nd book in GillianBradshaw's Arthurian trilogy. Its story line continues where the"Hawk of May" left off and ends before "In Winter's Shadow"

The story follows Gawain and his servant Rhys as they move through dark age Britain to fight for the light. Anybody with a liking for Arthurian romances will like this book.

If you're looking for yet another re-telling of La Morte d'Arthur, look somewhere else. If you love Arthurian legend, but are interested in reading something a little different, Gillian Bradshaw's trilogy is fascinating, enjoyable, heart-breaking and impossible to put down.

Even though sorcery and the Otherworld are prominent features in the books, the characters are realistic -- people that are easy to relate to. These books bring Arthur's Britain to life from a more historical (as opposed to legendary) perspective.

The trilogy consists of "Hawk of May", "Kingdom of Summer" and "In Winter's Shadow". The first begins with Gwalchmai's (Gawaine's) childhood and ends with his acceptance into Arthur's Family. The second continues Gwalchmai's tale, but is told from the perspective of his servant. The third book is narrated by Gwynhwyfar (Guinevere).

"Kingdom of Summer" is about Gwalchmai's search for the lady he loves, Elidan, and his eventual confrontation with his mother, Morgause, the evil sorceress. Other great characters, (along with Arthur & Gwynhwyfar) make appearances: Medraut (Mordred), Bedwyr (Bedivere), Gwalchaved (Galahad), Lot of Orcade, Agravain, Cei (Kay), Urien of Rheged, Maelgwn of Gwynedd, etc, etc. Don't look for Chretien de Troye's literary creation, Lancelot -- these books do very well without him.

All three books are equally well written -- I can't recommend one more than another. There are more reviews written on the first book. Personally, this trilogy is my favorite Arthurian tale to date.

When Dr. Brad Green, a man who had made his career of saving financially strapped higher education institutions, had his number pulled by Cyprus College, a small religious school in Indiana, he would find that this was no ordinary turnaround job - the school had some major issues to deal with: On campus pimping of students and prostitution, drug selling, embezzlement by board members, selling grades for sexual favors, non-payment of institutional taxes... And the list goes on. As Dr. Green tried to fix the problems he faced mutinies first of the college's board of directors and then of the faculty itself. It doesn't take long for Dr. Green to begin to sense that something supernatural is at play at Cyprus College. He just can't put his finger on it!

I found Sinister Among Us to be a very engrossing book. The plot moved right along and I found myself getting pulled in by how Dr. Brad Green, the book's protagonist, became a superstar problem solver. William Brashaw has indeed written a page turner. The way Bradshaw set up Cyprus College's many challenges then ingeniously solves them was well thought out and I found his background on demoniacs (people who are possessed by demons) to be very educational.

Now that having been said, I will say that although I liked the two facets of the book, (how the plot unfolded and the background information on demonic possession), I sometimes felt that when the storyline moved away from what was going on around Cyprus College to explaining the history and background of demons possessing humans on earth I sometimes didn't marry the two in my head. Both were extremely interesting to me but for totally different reasons. Could it have been that William Bradshaw had two books he rolled into one? Or could it have been that the author started out with a story on demons but the rest of the plot took a life of its own? I think the latter more likely.

Nevertheless I do highly recommend this book. Both the plot and subplot I believe you will find tightly written - even though they are quite different in structure. William Bradshaw was highly successful in capturing my imagination and holding it to the end. I would label this a "thinking man's book"!

"Sinister Among Us", written by the only man in the United States to hold a Doctorate in Demonology, is the story of Brad Green, returning from retirement to serve a small Midwestern college. In order to get the college back on the right path, he must face off against the hordes of Satan in order to purge the school from the evil that has accumulated over the years. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their fiction with a Christian message, "Sinister Among Us" is a must for community library fiction collections catering to Christians.

Sinister Among Us
William B. Bradshaw, PH.D.
Tate, 2007, $22.95
ISBN: 9781598867404

Big problems threaten to shut Cyprus College, a small Christian school in Copperville, Indiana. The accreditation board is on the verge of withdrawing its support, which is the death penalty for a school; financially the college is near bankrupt and scholarships have vanished. Other happenings involving drug trafficking has the FBI looking. With that mess on top of the recent death of the school's president, the Board of Directors seek a special person who can bring fiscal reasonability and respect to the beleaguered school. A banker on the board recommends retired sexagenarian widower Dr. Bradley Green whose reputation is saving financially troubled colleges.

Eight months after accepting the position, Brad remains troubled with what he has found. Besides the money and drugs, he uncovers a prostitution ring using students and abuse by faculty. Being a rationale thinker, he struggles with one small school having all this evil assault it. He begins to wonder if the unbelievable could be happening here; a demon causing malevolent havoc.

SINISTER AMONG US is a terrific tale that for much of the story line focuses on an ethical dedicated college president resolving issues that threaten the school's existence. There is a subplot involving Christian doctrine on demonology, but Dr. Bradshaw cleverly interweaves that into the college in trouble story line as a potential cause. Although there are grating moments when something passively stated is immediately reaffirmed in the active voice to emphasize a point, this is a well written fascinatingly unique contemporary tale. Readers will appreciate the ethical hero aided by his lawyer and banker (modern times) trying to save a Christian College from the mundane and perhaps something more SINISTER AMONG US.

There is something terribly wrong at Cyprus College, a small Christian college in Copperville, Indiana. The college is in dire financial trouble, at risk of losing its accreditation, plus a number of other more sinister things are happening on campus. The Board of Directors needs to select a man of impeccable ethical and moral standards who can turn around their financial problems-and that man is Dr. Bradley Green.

Brad Green is a specialist who has made a career of turning around financially burdened institutions. He agrees to come out of retirement for the challenge. And that is where the trouble really begins. Besides the financial troubles, Dr. Green discovers drugs, prostitution, excessive use of profanity, and unimaginable abuse by faculty. This is more than just bad behavior; this has a pervasive sense of true evil. Could there be a demon mastermind behind all the evil at the college?

Sinister Among Us is truly a one-of-a-kind, totally engrossing tale of how evil in a small college town and on a small Christian campus can invade multiple aspects of daily life and pervert it. This book is not about people's Christian beliefs but it does contain a very frank lesson about what the Christian doctrine as well as other historical documents says about demons and demon possession.

You do not have to be a Christian to find this a fascinating story, and this book does not preach or try to convert you. If you are a Christian however, you may learn more about what the Christian doctrine really says about demons than you were ever taught at your church, regardless of your denomination.

But this is not a dry reading of facts as author Dr. Bradshaw has taken a likable character and placed him in a seemingly real-life situation to relate the message-and does it masterfully! I was so involved with Brad Green as he struggles to solve the mystery of what is going on, and as he faces the possibility that the root isn't something tangible, that I forgot I was reading a story as it seemed so real!

Armchair Interviews says: If you like a mix of reality and possible fantasy of demons-and excellent storytelling, check this out.

I think this was a good book. I like mythological animals and stories and this is one of them. Gillian Bradshaw has a good imagination and is a good writer because I could see the things she described in my head. I want to read more of her books.

I'm always on the lookout for novels containing either Egyptian themes or dragons. This book satisfies both of those themes, blending a nice storyline with the fanatical religious actions many cultures develop when magic is a strong force in the population. My only complaint is the rather sudden ending...but I won't go into that. I still strongly recommend this book to fans of mythological readings.

I always rather liked this book when I was in the sixth grade. Hathor is a very interesting character. Anyways, the sequal is called "The Land of Gold" and if you wern't satisfied by the ending in this book, then you definetly will be in the next. Haharkay is the best new character in that one and I refuse to tell you who he is, but you can guess :)

I used this title, The Dragon and the Thief, in my sixth grade language arts classroom this year. It was the perfect book to compliment the study of ancient Egypt which was going on in social studies classes. I read a chapter at a time and my students were begging me to continue when it came time to stop each day. The book is a wonderful adventure, with engaging characters and lots of hidden learning on Egyptian gods and social structures. I had one student who felt that Bradshaw's Prahotep & Hathor beat out Harry Potter! Too bad it's out of print - my students wrote the publisher because they wanted their own copies...

Firestarters: 100 Job Profiles to Inspire Young Women by Kelly Beatty and Dale Salvaggio Bradshaw is a great book to share with readers in a mother-daughter book club. My daughter who is in 11th grade read it at the same time I did, and we found lots to talk about regarding potential careers to match her interests.

The women profiled in Firestarters have dynamic jobs, and many have changed direction sometime during the course of their careers. They give candid assessments about what a day on the job is like, and they also talk about challenges they face. If your book club takes it on as a selection, each girl could choose three or four of the jobs profiled and talk about what interests her about the work.

The book would also be a great entree for moms to talk about their career pathways. I've found that as we all try to get through a busy family schedule every day, parents often don't share details about the beginning of their careers or the process they went through in deciding what to do after high school graduation. Firestarters is very accessible too. Each profile is organized the same, making it easy to pick up and read one or two profiles at a time.

At last . . . a readable, engaging, and inspiring all-inclusive "bible" of career possibilities for girls! This book is well-written and includes a huge variety of types of professionals. It's also a great resource for women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who may be itching to jump to a new career. The representatives of each type of work do not just gloss over technical details; they report their real-life ups and downs. The finishing touch is candid reporting by the authors on their own work lives and experiences. A must-have for daughters, nieces, and students.

I wouldn't call this book inspiring (as the cover does) simply because the profiles are too short to inspire more than a quick read. The profiles are only 1-1.5 pages per person/career and no career is listed twice. The profiles are drawn from almost every career you can imagine. The book is set up in a rather bizarre way; the profiles are listed in order of the women's first name, so you have Amy ... then Angela... etc. That means the profiles are not in 'clusters' by job area - they are random. The profiles, though short, are helpful in the sense that you get a quick overview of a job and whether you might fit well into it. The women each answer what a typical day is like, their education and training, job challenges, likes/dislikes about their job, and offer advice. The most helpful part of the profiles, to me, were the steps each women took to get her current position. That one detail offers a possible career ladder
you can take. A cool book for teens, but not a replacement for real career books and guidance (ie Occupational Outlook Handbook).

I saw this book in the library (by chance) and took it out. It's a great book for a junior/senior high-schooler. I like that it doesn't focus on money, no annual salaries are quoted. Instead it lets real women tell about their careers, what they like and dislike about them.
Highly reccomended. I'm giving it for Christmas to my niece who goes to college next year without a clue about what she wants to do. This should show there's a whole world to chooses from.

This audiotape was just so enlightening to our whole family. It was like "WOW" this is us exactly. After recently experiencing a Family Week at The Meadows where we also experienced an awakening about feelings and how important it is to "feel"in order to be your real self and have intimate relationships. This tape reinforced all of this information and then even more to help a person become who he really is. I only wish I had had this information before I had my family. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a family crisis before you really look at the dysfunctions in a family that goes from generation to generation. I will share these tapes with everyone I come in contact with. John Bradshaw did an excellent job - I also enjoyed the humor he used.

This two tape series is an excellent resource to help the reader begin to understand how toxic and potentially dangerous a person who is, on most levels, "too nice" can be. Ministers, counselors, therapists and anyone in the helping professions could gain much understanding from the material found herein. The problem with being overly nice is that it is a mask for stored internal rage and it is, at the same time, rage producing.

Must have for those who want to be real in life

This two-tape package brings you another Bradshaw workshop that shines with John's humor, wit, and insight. John shares, in a warm and personal style, his insight about the cost and danger of being "super-nice" while sacrificing being real in life. John points out that the articifially super-nice persona prevents genuine intimacy and sharing.

I highly recommend this set of tapes if you want more insight into being real in your life.
