Most of the time, ten-year-old Lizzie Baker is happy with her family's life on the Tennessee frontier in the 1790s. Except
for every fall, when Lizzie's asthma becomes so terrible that she can barely breathe. And this fall, it was so bad that
Lizzie nearly died. The doctors and the local midwife try several treatments, but none of them really seem to work. Lizzie
resigns herself to dying, and decides to just try and enjoy the year she has left until next fall, which she surely won't
survive - each fall, her asthma gets worse and worse, and she couldn't possibly survive an attack worse than the last one.
Lizzie enjoys spending time with visitors to the community - a wealthy surveyor and his wife and son. The wealthy family,
the Beaumonts, live by the sea in South Carolina. Some people say that the sea air might help Lizzie's lungs. When the Beaumonts
offer to adopt Lizzie and take her to South Carolina, she must make a choice - stay in Tennessee, where she will surely
die but with the comfort of her family nearby, or go far away where she could still die, far from home? I highly reccomend
this book. It's a great historical novel and an inspiring story about a young girl's amazing courage and determination. I
don't think I could ever be as brave as Lizzie.

This book is the sequence of the facts and "karmas" that were created in Web of Light. The story of Domaris, the oldest sister,
who fell in love to Micon (from Atlantis) and had his son. She needs to survive Micon death and deal with it. It's also the
story of Deoris, the youngest sister, that starts her studies with Riveda, a man who she falls in love, and it's consequences.
This book show the relationship of these two women, feelings and emotions that would change the world balance and actions
that would last trough generations. One special note is that if you read carefully the book Ghostlight from MZB you will
have a surprise...

This book covers the philosophic roots and implications of the war on terror in a way that goes far beyond the usual media
banalities. From the evil that is radical Islam to the nature of the West itself and its ambiguous legacy, this book is must
reading for intelligent citizens. The editor's introduction alone is worth the price of admission.

A truely great read. It is educational as well as entertaining. It shows you what can happen to you if you don't take care
of your diabeties, but it is done in a true life story. It tells of the innerworkings of a diabetics mind and the things they
can go through.
It encouraged me to keep to my medical plan and stay on my diet even though it is a hard thing to do.

As I approached 30, I became a little worried about my future financial security. Not knowing much about the stock market,
investing, IRAs and whatnot and being a do-it-yourself person, I went looking for a book that would help me in my financial
planning. B.L. Gummow's book "Winning the Money Game Made Easy" jumped right out to me. I found this guide incredibly easy
to read and use. Mr. Gummow, through a series of thoughtful relevant exercises, helped me evaluate my current financial
situation and develop my own investment plan based on the things I want to achieve in my future. I had always felt that Wall
Street symbols and jargon were very confusing. This book helped explain what things meant and empowered me to make my own
decisions and not just regurgitated advice from co-workers and friends. I would highly recommend "Winning the Money Game
Made Easy" to any self-starter who wants to make knowledgeable decisions about their future financial security.

This is an excellent book. I first used this book to secure my home network and then I lent it to my IT dept at work and we
had a fully functional fully secure wireless network up in a week!
At over 700 pages this book is a compendium of Information on Wireless technologies as well as wireless Security and is a collaboration between 11 authors.
Information is well organized and there are plenty of tables and figures which makes the information easy to understand. Most books stick to either theoretical aspects or practical aspects and very rarely both. This one manages to bridge the gap. It features a comprehensive tutorial on wireless technology, from Radio communications as well as architecture perspectives. Then covers security and then there are plenty of practical step-by configuration examples.
There is an entire chapter devoted to implementing basic security features on leading name brand Wireless routers and another for advanced features. Home Network security, as well as other wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee abd RFID are also comprehensively covered.
There is also a complete appendix at the end with templates for all the policy and process related aspects of any wireless security policy.
Whether you are an advanced home networking enthusiast or a CIO or some other IT related professional entrusted with implementing Security Policies for both fixed and Wireless networks, Then this book is a must read for you.

Wisconsin Where They Row: A History Of Varsity Rowing At The University Of Wisconsin by Bradley F. Taylor is an informed and
informative history of the University of Wisconsin's intercollegiate sport of rowing that began in 1892 with their first non-intramural
race and continued to a 113-year tradition. Wisconsin Where They Row fully captures the very spirit and richness of the Badger
crews while recounting milestones in Wisconsin's rowing tradition, from their financial troubles and six-year suspension for
health reasons, to their participation in the early intercollegiate regattas on the Hudson River, to the establishment of
the women's team in 1972. Replete with anecdotes, vintage photos, and historical "infobits" (there has been a Badger on each
Olympic crew team since 1968), Wisconsin Where They Row is "must" reading for Wisconsin history buffs, Wisconsin alums, and
collegiate rowing fans.

Were the Sawls the friendly, primative people they seem to the marooned Terran scientific and mining expedition? Or did their mazelike Cave cities house secrets humans weren't meant to learn? Would conventional Terran science ever explain the baffling extremes in the planet's weather? Or should the expedition pay more attention to the Sawl myths of rival Godesses, warring with fire and flood?
The Terrans were seeking both knowledge and minerals, but on Fiix knowledge could be as deadly as the weather - and could force humans to choose sides in a battle that would prove the salvation - or the end - of the Sawls...
