The price is not cheaper elsewhere. unfortunately, the reviewer who made this claim was neglegent in making sure it was correct. i have checked the other two "biggie" online bookstores, ..., and the price is the same. ...P>I thought this needed clearing up. Amazon.com provides a needed service and is very good at what they do.

The book is a splendid read and answers questions about what may happen in the future. It isn't merely opinions here, but arguments backed by fact, reason and the bible. Even people who are not into religion will find the arguments in this books riveting.

This is a book very interesting because shows how radiations can be use in two particular fields of study: history and nuclear sciences. It is useful in order to motivate students for futur research in this field.

TURNABOUT IS FAIR PLAY and FUGUE:

Both of these stories feature Dutchess Alena, a female ruler in a male dominated world.
The sparks fly when she meets her match in Joshua Wetfire. He is not the least bit impressed by her royal position and he lets her know it in no uncertain terms.

AVARAIR INTERLUDE:

This four-part novella (The Thieves, The Runemaster, Entr'acte, Avarair Inn, Return to the Torr) features the elven thief Morgen. The many sexual adventures of this gal will keep the reader nice and warm, even in the dead of winter.

THE ADVENTURES OF TAMARA SABLE:

These four short stories (Lost Cargo, The Lift, Tamara Goes Exploring, Crash Landings) feature Tamara, whose smuggling career gets her into some very sexy situations.

THAT WHICH I DESIRE:

Irisa Latham meets her match in domineering pirate Renwyk Derian. She left him to die on a self-destructing space ship and now he wants his sweet revenge.

RAVISHMENT:

This final short story is told entirely from the male character's point of view. Duke Gareth Janassi has been obsessed with Aurora Katran, his plus-size housemaid, since the first moment he saw her. BDSM themed, this one was quite an interesting read.

Ms. Bradley's characters are intriguing, funny, and even though this is a science fiction anthology, all too human. You can easily relate to each individual's emotions, which are
expertly conveyed in each story by the author. The language is descriptive and the reader will have no problem losing themselves in the worlds created in RAVISHED. The sex is incredibly erotic but not for the prudish or faint of heart! I truly enjoyed this
anthology and I recommend it to others, even those who do not usually enjoy science fiction.

This book is great for someone that really wants to know why you do certain things, not just that you have do them. What's great about the author is that she competes in AKC and Schutzhund trials, so she can help a broader audience than many other authors. Beth really knows her stuff regarding both human and canine behavior.

A wonderful tale of exploration, of good and evil, of science and religion, of primitive and sophisticated cultures, of humans and aliens. Full of complexities and paradoxes, this is a really compassionate story of human choices in the face of hardship. Good SF. Not really fast paced, but moves right along, full of suspense. A great pity it is out of print.

Note: this is definitely one or two classes above the later "Dragon quartet" by the first author which, although not really bad, is much more one-dimensional and is pure fantasy, a much easier genre to write.

Beginning with June 3, 1863, the day after Robert E. Lee gave the order to begin the invasion of Pennsylvania, this book traces all troop movements by corps, both North and South, for each day leading up to July 1, the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. Gottfried is not content with movements only, but adds a strong human touch by citing soldiers' journals and letters; thus, for example, we see the effects of weather (it rained a lot that June), the joy felt by the Confederates when crossing the Mason-Dixon Line, and even the disastrous results suffered by Hood's Division when they confiscated Union whiskey barrels and doled it out to the men near Williamsport: many became drunk and fights broke out - "It kept the sober boys busy to keep the drunk ones from killing each other," wrote John Stevens of Robinson's brigade. Although the book can obviously be read straight through, one may just as easily approach it by following first the North and then the South or a particular corps through the month, or by picking and choosing items from the detailed index and following them through the text. Thus the research possibilities are numerous. Gottfried has also written an excellent book on the brigades at Gettysburg, and taken together, the two books are thorough accounts of the lead-up to the battle and the battle itself. Included are excellent maps illustrating all the movements described in the text. Highly recommended.
