"Slow Down...and get More Done" is a book filed with warmth and humor that spoke to me in terms I could relate to without
getting stressed out about all the things I need to do ... in order to not be stressed out. Grab yourself a cup of coffee
(or your favorite drink) and cozy up on the sofa for a delightful read that will help you find your peaceful center. "Slow
Down" will gently open you to discover the things that bring you satisfaction and joy--and how to make room for them in your
life without turning you into some type of time clock junkie. "Slow Down" is a must for all those who feel lost in the race
of their days and who wish to find the precious in life.

I like this book. That was probably the first book of analytical philosophy I've read in my life. And I think it really can
be your first book to. It gives a real (though this word may seem suspicious in the context of Goodman's ideas) sense of
a convergency of epistemology and ontology in today's philosophy. In spite of typical 'dry' image of philosophy this book
brings you back to human reality lost a couple of centuries ago by generous efforts of Descartes et al. It's the best clear
and concise introduction into views of Nelson Goodman, after which your reading of his major book, "Ways of Worldmaking",
will be even more pleasant.

but not in a bad way.
Gorgeous illustrations, still crisp and vivid, with all kinds of pretty recipes. I like the way he mentions different apples for different purposes. Get me a macoun, someone.
Cracked wheat salad with Jonathan apples and mint, Brook trout baked in parchment with Northern Spy apples and others sound good to me.

The Mary Rose is Henry VIII's flagship. She sank off the Isle of Wright in 1545 and in 1982 she is to be raised, with the
help of the most skilled underwater archaeology and sophisticated engineering, from the seabed where she has lain for 437
years. The book provides the fascinating background to one of the most important marine excavations of this century. It tells
the story of the warship which was the pride of the Tudor navy but sank without firing a shot - and before the horrified eyes
of the King himself - in an engagement against the French fleet.

True. Though probably not for beginners, this book is probably good for anyone with alittle college experience in biology.
Sapolsky writes in his normal clear, thoughtful style to explore the affects of stress on the brain. The ability of this book
to describe a scientific problem and then explore the experiments and the analysis of experiments to come up with a hypothesis
demonstrates the artistry and passion which underlies the scientific experience.

The author via participant observation methodology and individual case studies (personal accounts) truly does an amazing job on outlining and further defining the concepts, beliefs, and practices of this often overlooked religious tradition! The pictures and writing are simply amazing....
This book also contains a beautifully well done Compact Disk that brings you right into the milieu of the tradition and culture of the Shakers.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in comparative religion, caribbean studies, or ATR's!
