This is one of the books that anybody who is interested in Thomas Wolfe must have. Thomas Wolfe is sometimes overlooked these days but he is someone who must never be forgotten. This book explores his early career and what it took to get him to the legend that Max Perkins so carefully honed in on. For those who believe that T.W. could not have written his own work, read this book from the Thomas Wolfe Society.

I have used Thomson's Preparation Course for the TOEIC to help students prepare for the TOEIC exam. I have found it very helpful because it so closely resembles actual tests and the explanations are clear and easy to understand. I particulary like the fact that there are explanations of why a wrong answer is wrong.

I have got this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. personal, deep, funny... similar to Julia Cameron style writing in her reflective books, Three Gates to Paradise is the kind of book i'd love to get as a gift.... and a great one for summer reading. very contemporary Australian type writing, and easy to dip in and out of.

Sheree Fitch is one of my favorite children's authors, and this book is a marvelous collection of her poetry. She writes whimsical, rhyming poems that're great fun to chant. An example: "I wonder if thunder's/ The burp of the sun/ When she's had a big meal/ And her supper is done." Best read to children in a group, but be prepared for them to chant the best lines for the whole rest of the day.

I knew Boyd Allen (or Mr.Allen as I've called him for two years in the classroom) was a great teacher, but it wasn't until this afternoon when I stumbled across "Transitional Living" in his work closet that I finally had a chance to read some he himself wrote. Mr. Allen has taught me to really appreciate good literature and his poems were great. They tell a story, somewhat sad, yet also funny. For the cheap price this short book of poems will probably become one of your favorites. I'm going to order it right now, and I hope you will do the same. Make sure to read "Divorce" by far my favorite.
