I can only hope my Doctoral thesis will be this damn fascinating. A compulsive Nabokovian myself who laughed his way through
Ada twice with all of the delightful puns and prose, lucid literary labyrinths, and meticulous mazes, never once did I think
to connect in chapter ten (Botany Bay) Van's synonymous mollyblob with Molly Bloom (?!) which shows up later in the form of
red ink, referring to Lucette. Brian Boyd's book is a carousel of connections. My only bore was the metaphysical stuff in
section two, old news for me (though I would be liar to say I didn't learn), but still a thrill for the moderately experienced
Nabokovian. Word to the wise, read the book meticulously at least once before you let Boyd give it all away.

A unique and engaging novel

The Nambuli Papers is a unique multimedia bound set of two books, a DVD, and a board game dedicated to presenting the captivating
fictional story of a turn-of-the century magician Aristide Nambuli and his circus clown twin brother. A unique and engaging
novel that interconnects its universe with a surrealist board game (entitled "Don't Hate the Game!"), a collection of poetry
by one of the original Tide Writers (Bertrand Hebert), and a documentary film "Tidewriters: The Lost Reel" which chronicles
international artiss and philosophers associated with the Tide Writers movement, including rare footage originally shot in
1957 and misplaced for forty-five years, now included in a director's cut with audio commentary recorded during a 1995 screening.
Far more than a simple amalgamation of similar subjects, The Nambuli Papers is an interconnected gateway to a new and quite
unusual literary gestalt and a seminal, groundbreaking herald of cohesive multimedia storytelling.

I rate this book as one of the top ten books I have ever read. Why? The author is crisp, militarily accurate, spontaneous,
romantic beyond belief.
This book is a MUST READ for anyone considering military service, with special emphasis on those brave enough to be fighter jocks.
It is also more romantic than any other "war" book I have ever read.
My thirty-two years of active duty tell's me this author is telling it exactly as World War II was for those back home, and for those brave men and women who fought in both the European and Pacific theaters.
One of the very few books in my 55 years of age that I truly could not stop reading until the last thrilling page.

There's something most of us find fascinating about the lineages of persons of note, whether they're royalty, U.S. presidents,
movie stars, military leaders, or literary and historical figures like Pocahontas and Louisa May Alcott. The Virginia ancestry
of the Queen Mother is relatively well known, as are the New England cousins of the late Princess of Wales and the Duchess
of York -- but did you know Elvis Presley, Jimmy Carter, and Jesse Helms are all collaterally related? Roberts is probably
the leading expert at this sort of thing, especially when it comes to uncovering surprising connections, like the British
royal descent of Karl Marx's wife (whose grandmother was Scottish), and he carefully lays out examples of what might be called
"genealogical evolution," demonstating that genealogy really is inclusive, not exclusive. Many British, European, and American
contemporaries are much more closely related than we often realize. There are also a number of descents contributed by guest
columnists which maintain the same high standard of documentation.

Sara not only captures the minds and hearts of children through her publications, she is also a dynamite presenter in schools!
I have seen her work with K-12 students and she does a remarkable job of tailoring her work to meet the needs of grade levels
and special interests of students and teachers. Bravo, Sara Holbrook!
