Sherry Meidell does wonderful illustrations and this book is another example of her fun style. Our kids love them.

This book has lots of digrams, programming exercises, and self-test exercises for a real hands-on approach. A must have for beginners. Just what are "figuative constants" ? This book actually explains terms IN the lessons, not just in the glossary. This book doesn't assume anything other then you want to learn. There's also plenty of space in the margins for those who *gasp* WRITE in their books!

I discoved Lilian Harry last summer, since that time I have read most of earlier works and I can say that her lastest release "Girl called Thursday" lives up to the author's great standards. Ms. Harry takes the reader back to Portsmounth during the beginning of world war 2 and the tell the story of a young girl named Thursday, who has joined the VADs. As with her other books Ms. Harry give the reader many details of both the setting and characters. Another great book by Lilian Harry.

This simple, yet heart-warming book has short little affirmations for each and every situation that touches sisters today, from the pain of death and disappointment to the joy of celebrating yourself on a constant, daily basis. Not to debase Julia's contribution by comparison, but think of it as shorter,to-the-point "faith in the valley". In the back, it even allows the reader to have "the last word" as there are blank pages for your own thoughts or mantras. This book can be ab instant pick-me-up and a great gift to the struggling sister in your life.

"The Girls they left Behind" is the second in Lilian Harry's Portsmouth series and is really great! This book picks up few days later after the events in "Goodbye Sweetheart." I have to say I like the second book better than the frist due to the fact the pace of the book was better. This is a great series for anyone who loves book set in the war era.

Divided as most good books are between the past trends, the present and what may happen this is an interesting books.

The three parts are ¨

Each part section is divided into several chapters and because this book is written by a team of people there is an international context.

This book by Malcolm Boyd is truly insightful. Death and dealing with different deaths are the main focuses, but the book weaves a tapestry that is neither simple nor surface. This book is not only for the elderly and is recommended reading for everyone.

These comics are enjoyed by our entire family. Our 10 year old son can't seem to put them down as the illustrations and content are clever and entertaining. We love how Bently Boyd brings history to life in a fun, creative and easy reading style. After my son is finished reading he can't wait to share what he read with the entire family. We have acquired the entire set of Chester Comix with Content Series and love them all. These make a GREAT gift for anyone of any age or even for teachers as they are an awesome learning tool. A gift that keeps giving. This is a definate must have for the entire family. ENJOY!

I was the editor for this curriculum, and found it to be very, very different from the typical spiritual gifts inventories out there. The interactive nature of this one validate the gifts within a person and of course, the use of them in appropriate ways to build up the body of Christ.

This series is very good, and moves small group members into ministry time with each agenda, then pushes them to do something with what they've learned with the "between the meetings" options.

Highly recommended.

I can't say enough about Brod Bagert's work. His poems are so much fun to read aloud. The kids enjoy hearing/reading them because Bagert writes about topics that the kids can relate to. "The Gooch Machine" is a hilarious poem about a boy who invents a machine that controls the teacher's moods. I'm sure that most can make a text-to-self connection to that! : )

This is a purchase that you won't regret.
