Wilhelm Reich was many things in his lifetime- a student of Freud, a political activist, a research scientist, and an inventor. His work was decades ahead of its time and is finally being rediscovered and reevaluated by the public. If, like me, you are interested in Reich and his work, you might want to check out a novel called We All Fall Down, by Brian Caldwell. it draws heavily on Reich's theories, particularly Listen Little Man and The Mass Psychology Of Facism. It's a great introduction to Reich's work and the entire novel draws heavily on his theory. It's very interesting watching an author explore his theories in a fictional setting. Well worth reading.

Superior artwork and good text on the right level for children. Ideal for reading in Sunday School and bedtime. I prefer the books that allow children to read text on one side while they see a picture to color on the other side. The 3 best Bible Coloring books I know of, in order of their quality are (1) This book (2) The Keepsake Bible Story Coloring Book (hardback, by Emily Hunter) (3) The Bible Story Coloring Book #2. I rate them this way without considering cost. Since this book is 1/4 the cost, I am very sad it is no longer in print.

Big Mama's Baby is a hit with my grandkids. They love the idea of having a calf for a pet and smile at how Big Mama cares for her "Baby." The neighbors, of course, think she'd off her noodle, but one friend sticks by her and in the end helps solve the problem of what to do with Baby, who still loves Mama, but is a little hard to mother now that he's become a big, black bull.

Eunice Boeve, author of Maggie Rose and Sass, a Kansas Notable Book set in an all black town in the 1880s; The Summer of the Crow,a novel set in 1935 Kansas; A Window to the World, about 12-year-old Annie who lives in 1850s Virginia; Trapped!, the true story of Virginia Reed, a girl with the Donner Party; and an adult western novel, titled Ride A Shadowed Trail.

Bizzare Birds is both beautiful and fascinating. You will enjoy reading it yourself and love it even more when you read it to kids. This author knows his stuff and takes a fine snapshot too.

This is a great book. My daughter loves it and remembered all the words and reads it to her little brother. Its very short and a easy read. Surly a keeper in our house for her younger brother when he is old enough. I wish she wrote more or a series on this one.

This was my son's favorite book as a toddler. He had to have it read to him daily. It had to go on any trip we took. I can recite this book by heart. Little kids love colors and animals, so it isn't hard for your child to imagine they are the main character in this book and "Black Dog" is their dog. I can't promise this will be your child's favorite book, but it sure meant the world to my little man!

Not only is this book a must resource for social workers and therapist, but Nancy is a wonderful writter. I had the opportunity to hear her speak and not only am I impressed with her writting but also with the dynamic and thoughtful person she is.

This book is a great resource if you are planning to work with black families in therapy. It outlines practical things to do in the clinical setting and how black families are affected by racism and other societal pressures.

I found this book to be a gem among kids' books. Kids will take instantly to this reader, and will have their interest in boats sparked! I highly encourage kids of all ages to read this book.

While I had my 5 1/2 year old son down at the childrens emergency department he was looking for a book to read and came across this one. We both found it very interesting and he learned about new animals in it. It was fun for him to try to guess who the bogus beast was. It made him think! Unfortunatley we didn't get time to finish it at the hospital so we were looking for it and were unable to find it until we looked here. We will be ordering the book so that my son and I may finish reading it and discover who all the bogus beasts are!
