Borden Books

This is a great book from the detail to the drawing's i can't wait for the next book to come out first the way that they expainle what the Sphere is. and the way that the Chruch and Atlatis is blened i recammend this to any one Adult or Child. to read this book. I would also like to say that Shadow is not Kit's dog(an earlier reveiw said so)he is John's dog. i would like to say to the athuer i can't wait for the next.

My mom had this book when I was growing up and I went in search of it largely because of the banana pudding recipe. But the book is full of wonderful, fun little decadent desserts that aren't at all hard to put together. Some nice holiday treats as well. Lots and lots of pictures which I love in a cookbook. A lovely thing to have in your quick and tasty toolbox!

This book is a fascinating look at the people and times of America circa 1892-1893. The letters and other correspondence of Hosa Knowlton,Prosecuting Attorney of the Southern District of the Commonwealth of Mass. draw a vivid picture of people from all walks of life and their opinions and reactions to the murder of the Borden family. Anyone who has been drawn into the mystique of Lizzie Borden and her times will not regret the time spent with this book.

After much searching, I happened upon this dictionary at our local library. If you can get your hands on one, HANG ON TO IT ! The copy I had used is over 2 inches thick, if that tells you how much information is inside.

How important is this book? Experienced valve practitioners say that ten percent of their control valves give ninety percent of the problems they encounter in industrial facilities. Of the problems experienced with the procurement and use of control valves, the major ones seem to be because of lack of knowledge of installed process conditions (design versus actual conditions) and lack of good communication between the buyer and the seller, With high quality process data and good communication, poor instalation practices still account for some dissatisfaction.

Those interested in American political history and the founding of our constitutional government will find this book extremely helpful. Borden fills a unique niche in American history and the history of political parties by describing how American political parties developed in the early republic. While most knowledgeable people are aware that the founding fathers abhorred political parties as institutionalized factions that were destructive to democratic principles, Borden gracefully describes how the founding fathers nonetheless became drawn to parties as a means of gaining control. Indeed, without the founding of the Democratic-Republican Party the Alien and Sedition Acts may never have been repealed and our government may look very different. The impact of foreign policy (pro-British Federalists and pro-French Democratic-Republicans) is also discussed at length. A short read and a valuable resource, I recommend this book heartily.

Larry Allen's poems rekindle the blazing controversy of Lizzie Borden's verdict. After reading "Do Come In," I am compelled to read more about the enigma of Lizzie Borden. Great read for late night!

This is a terrific look at this artist's use of line especially. If you're interested in his color work, pick up one of the more expensive books offered on this man, but if you're wanting a cheap, quick, intro to this man's work and especially his use of gesture, this is an awesome book.

Great to see Menzel Drawings in a small and affordable book. If you have never known about him, he is a great figurative artist-- this book is a good introduction. He is a skilled draughtsman, and in my opinion underrated in history. Worth buying if you love representionl drawing and to see it done by such a skilled artist.
