Real Fast Indian Food by Mridula BaljekarReview Date: 2003-11-20
Some new combinations and flavorsReview Date: 2003-06-26
really get seduced into trying out a recipe! No extra-long list of ingredients.
She introduces common ingredients found in the american markets, that are not usually used in Indian cooking to create some interesting combinations.Ex: Brocolli and Red pepper raita,
Tuna burgers,Dill rice , Salmon in creamy sauce etc.
There is a section for microwave cooking.Lots of salads and veggie dishes that are totally new to indian food lovers are in here..
Drawback: Absolutely no pictures..so first time cooks and new Indian cooks, might not be happy.
It
isn't fast cooking..but its cooking that's well worth the time. Preparing curry sauces beforehand is what makes her concept
of cooking "fast" work.
However, I like to create a smaller version of her sauces and use it immediately. The madras curry sauce is great..makes your food look and taste like those served at the Indian restaurants..

What immortal hand or eye Review Date: 2005-12-16
The Blake of the short memorable lyrics , of the 'Songs of Innocence and Experience' reverberates in my mind.
The Blake of proverb always strikes a strong note.
All the radical ideology ,and the fervor of an upturner of worlds , the solitary angry social critic too has not meant that much to me.
But 'Little Lamb who made thee/Dost thou know who made thee?/
and Tyger/Tyger/ Burning bright in the forest of the night/ these fascinate as only real poetry does.
Little Lamb who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee?

Where are all of the pirates?!Review Date: 2003-06-07
Caroline staunchly refuses to discuss the incident and has done all that she can to push it out of her mind. When Jean, Marquis of Roquefort buys the neighboring plantation, it is just the distraction she needs. Madame Delacroix immediately starts angling for the Marquis to marry one of her daughters, but, although he is charming, the Marquis does not seem interested. Then why is he spending so much time at the Delacroix plantation? And why did the Marquis insist that Caroline help him host his first ball? It is only as she spends more time with the dashing Marquis that she realizes she has met him somewhere before...
I was disappointed in this book because I felt that the description and the title were very misleading. There was a page of pirates in the whole book and the rest of it was set in Louisiana. Although the setting was quite charming there, it was not what I expected. Still, Jennifer Blake's characters are, as always, enchanting and well developed. She also has a very nice turn of phrase and wonderful, vivid descriptions. This is just a nice, simple romance with nothing suggestive or scandalous. Indeed, it is so clean that you could recommend it to your mother or grandmother.

A Must Read For Sunday School WorkersReview Date: 2007-08-22
"Teaching for Results" is a must read for all educators!Review Date: 2000-09-15
Findley Edge's book, "Teaching for Results," will answer those questions and others. More importantly, it explains cognitive and learning development in a way that is easilty understood. Don't be fooled, however, into thinking it is simplistic. It certainly is not as Findley did his homework into learning and teaching methods. This is a book that every institution that trains teachers should require every student to read.
If there is only one flaw in the book it is in trying to track Findley's use of terms when he transitions from one idea to another. This is most important to a person trying to make a teaching outline from some of the chapters in the book. If that is not important to you then I would give the book a fifth star.
Churches should consider requiring all Sunday School teachers to read this book and to even write a short report about each chapter and how their teaching methods will be impacted by what they have read. Public speakers will be very interested in reading about how a listener automatically responds to the way certain questions or visual images are phrased. Parents would benefit tremendously in understanding the way children learn most effectively.
"Teaching for Results" isn't the only book on the market on the subject of teaching and learning but it certainly has to rank high on the list of those that can be used immediately and repeatedly. Get it today!

There's something to be said for age and experience.Review Date: 2000-05-30
This is the second of Henry's wonderful trilogyReview Date: 1999-08-02
Thinking With Horses is Henry's second work and in my opinion, as interesting as his first book, Talking With Horses. In his second offering Henry explores more deeply into some of the mysteries of horse communication and behavior, but never loses the style ambiance that he attained in his first book.
I strongly suggest the reader progress through Henry's work in sequential order; Talking With Horses, Thinking With Horses and Horse Sense. By doing so the reader can enjoy the greater adventure in chronological sequence and fully enjoy the colorful characters, both human and equine, that Henry brings to life in his work.
Henry Blake is probably my most recommended author for horse enthusiasts and home horse trainers to read.

Behind the screenReview Date: 2006-09-29
This book, by British author David Bardner tells the story of Tom Hank's life, the history of his films and of his family. It is written neither to glorify nor condemn, but seems to strike a fair balance of objective reporting.
It brings out how hard Tom Hanks had to work to hone his craft. His casual screen style is no accident but the result of a lot of hard work, and a wise selection of roles and directors. All in all, you are convinced that Tom Hanks is a really nice guy.

It describes classic meals; for instance, Paneer Kabobs with dried prunes, Madras Fish Curry, Kaftas in Lentil Soup and
hundreds of other fine foods/recipes. This book would be
helpful if you were cooking for an Indian guest or family.
It would be useful for chefs and persons desiring to emulate
an international flavor in the recipes presented to guests.
