This is a fabulous cookbook I will rely on again and again! After searching a half-dozen books for a recipe for rack of lamb
I knew I'd found "the one" as soon as I skimmed Gary Rhodes' "Roast Rack of Lamb with a Parsnip Crumble." The recipe was
simple and straight-forward, as are most recipes in the book. The result was a fabulous dish that was familiar yet significantly
better than basic British fare! Homemade Pork Pie had my mouth watering, and looked beautiful - good enough for guests.
Can't wait to try more - cod, duck, bubble and squeak, fritters, sponges and ice creams. "Rhodes around Britain" is a great
collection of recipes that are time-tested and traditional, yet so yet much more imaginative. The recipes are easy to produce,
delicious to eat and great for everyone - even my kids appreciate this food!

This is one of the few romance books that I'll read again and again. It's not perfect. The language can be a bit flowery and
sometimes the characters' motivations don't seem perfectly logical, but Blake does an excellent job of creating a sizzling,
page-turning chemistry between the two sexy characters. I had tried reading a few other Blake novels and consider them a waste
of my time. But this novel will always have a place on my bookshelf.

Jennifer Blake's prince in Royal Passion has a wonderful mix of physical and mental attraction. Nothing needs to be spelt
out for him - he just knows! Highly intelligent and intuitive - this man is fathoms deep. There is a great blend of characters,
and all of them are unique in themselves. I have read many of Jennifer's books, but keep coming back and re-reading this
one as, firstly, I enjoy historical romances, but mainly because the main characters have an integrity that one can only admire.

Wow. "Helpful" doesn't even begin to describe this book. It left me enraged, anguished, blessed, ecstatic, and joyful, all
at the same time. A must for anyone who has endured the horror of childhood abuse (sexual or otherwise), as well as for the
people who love them. This book will help you to see yourself, understand, name and own your own feelings about your abuse,
and most importantly, give you hope that there is, in fact, the possibility of freedom and healing somewhere down the line.
Blake Davidson is a godsend for having written this book, and his mother is a hero for having the courage to share her story.
"Thank you" is too weak an expression to demonstrate the gratitude I feel at having read this wonderful work.

I read the book in 24 hours...I couldn't put it down. The true story was captivating. I cried and laughed along the way.
This book is for anyone who has ever been abused in any way...or anyone who has trouble forgiving someone who has hurt them.
God really does work in mysterious ways and it doesn't happen overnight all the time but He still performs miracles. I found
this book challenging to read thru my tears but once finished I felt renewed and I know I can forgive too....totally forgive...not
just sort of forgiving and forgetting.

Shameless is shamelessly one of the best romantic fiction novels to come out in a long time. Cammie is a stong independent
woman trying to get a divorce. Reid is a dark and dangerous though compelling man with a lot of interesting rough edges.
Passionate fireworks fly between the two of them, as they try to decide whether they can trust each other, or whether their
darkest suspicions about each other may be true. A must for reading and then lots of rereading!
A great read!

This was the first Jennifer Blake book I ever read and I loved it! Its a great story of two people who grew up together but
have led separate lives for quite some time. The story follows Camilla and Reid as they get to know each other again and
try to do so ignoring what the town is saying and the fatc that they might be on oppposite sides of the battle to come! I
definitely recommend this novel!

I have seldom seen a point made this well using this few words.
The drawings are funny, and the sheep give both kids and parents a good laugh. When we read aloud we play out "giggle" and "pout", "whisper" and "shout". The children love it! And they get to practise words like "up" and "down", "good" and "bad". They're actually able to memorize the book quite fast!
Sheep lost is our favourite board book for toddlers.

I picked up the author's blog: Blogging in the saltmine, and was intrigued by his views. His book is an excellent primer for
the uninitiated, and a refresher for those embroiled in the fray of competition. He covers no new ideas, as the field is incredibly
broad, but he presents the basket of knowledge in a way to cause one to take a hard look at their actions. The author reminds
us that the basics of "blocking and tackling" are important; the small businessperson should periodically step back and evaluate
his position. It is a short read but chock full of perspective!

While statistics concerning the failure rate of small businesses are
often subject of debate, there are no doubt a great number of small businesses that encounter great difficulty within the first years of opening their doors. The difficulty surfaces once the business outgrows its current facilities, capital structure, or skill set of the owners who suddenly find themselves in over their heads. As business owners are starved for knowledge, Just Noodles serves up a healthy portion of business know-how, set off by a balance of entertaining anecdotes.
Targeted for the audience of small business owners ready to take their ideas to the next level, Just Noodles tackles questions often asked, but rarely answered in bite-sized portions. No matter your background, Just Noodles dishes up the opportunity to learn how the financial community evaluates a business; what to expect to hear from lenders; the appropriate time to bring in a consultant or business coach for an outside perspective, or how to correct small issues before they become big problems.
Whether you received a formal business education or learned it through the School of Hard Knocks, this book provides a strong collection of simple examples highlighting many important keys to understanding business. In short, Just Noodles reminds the reader that fundamentals will always
matter. From the flashback to economics texts with an entertaining discussion of Guns & Butter to understanding product life cycles and application of strategy for success, Just Noodles uses lighthearted,
yet accurate case studies for illustration. The author truly delivers a digestible collection sure to satisfy any small business reader's hunger.
R. Blake Hendrix draws upon years of experience in public accounting, banking, and small business consulting, delivering to the table a steaming plate of reality for business owners faced with difficult choices. Hendrix entertains while he educates. For example, he describes an amusing parallel of Southern fishing techniques with important and often less sexy ideas on dissecting a business in order to analyze the keys for continued success.
Reviewer, D. Scott Cooksey, is an author and speaker based in Tulsa, Oklahoma who has served countless business and individual clients in financial services for nearly 15 years. Cooksey offers workshops, training programs and personal appearances to address leadership.

Reviewed by Beverly Pechin for Reader Views
This book will open new doors to your life. Simply reading it won't be enough, you have to delve into it with your heart and soul, sort of like how Susanne Blake tells you to live your life... with heart and soul.
This "How To" book is very unique. There is no preaching about how you messed up and how you should change. Instead, Ms. Blake takes the approach of teaching you how to love yourself from deep within. Finding the real you. Finding your "Self". Finding a new life, by making a conscious decision to live your life from deep within.
What I enjoyed most about the book was that at the end of each chapter, the author not only produces a simple, well explained plan of how to put her words into action so you can make life changing decisions but she also provides questions and a work area to bring your actions full circle. You're not only becoming aware of more intense you, but you're seeing it in black and white.
In the beginning Blake comments on how, as a baby, we are given literally a brain with all this knowledge of what God wants us to know. While we have no clue at that time that we have it, nor do we know how to use it, it's still there. She suggests taking a picture of yourself as a baby and posting it up so you can see it daily. Look into the eyes of that child and see the simplicity and depth it reflects. That is the true you, your true Self. That is what you want to go back and feel. Before anyone told you how to feel or how to act. Before anyone fed you their beliefs and ideas. The core within that was untouched by anyone but the maker Himself. That is where you want to be again, to achieve pure happiness and purpose to your life.
One of my favorite areas of the book had to do with women and relationships. Not just "romantic" relationships, although they are a part of it, but the other relationships in your life. The people you choose for friends. The people you choose to be with. The people you choose to love or hate. Ms. Blake discusses our sometimes poor judgment in relationships that we tend to repeat over and over again. She shows you how to approach these relationships, whether they're romantic or platonic, and view them from 4 very real areas - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The author discusses ridding yourself of these 'bad' relationships to help yourself become whole again and while she does tell you how to do it, she also supplies means of achieving this level of happiness by giving you exercises to do that will bring you one step closer to happiness. I personally think that our relationships are a huge majority of who we are and what we become, and when surrounded by people who pull you down and bring you into an area of unhappiness, you will never become fully alive deep within.
The author gives a deep, rational and valid explanation of how to literally become the person you were born to be. She shows you how to work at being content with life and with your life's decisions. The end results can only be wonderful, giving you a sense of self-worth, power, success and inner peace. By making the decisions that make you happy, you will make everyone around you happier also. Putting yourself before others, those on your list of priorities that have always come first, will help make you a more complete and content person. Not only will you benefit from the changes that will take place after putting her words into practice, but those around you will benefit from finding the REAL you. Blake not only tells you how to find your own happiness but holds your hand along the way to make sure you achieve it.

The intent of this book is to transform the life of the reader and to improve their relationships. The focus is on learning
to know yourself, finding balance, prioritizing, and taking a look at the negatives and positives in your life. Blake integrates
the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life in finding solutions, in healing, and in making wise choices.
Susanne relates how imbalance in your life draws difficulties to an already stressful situation. She helps the reader produce
a more balanced life through "centeredness". By making these ten commitments you can replace chaos in your life with peace
and harmony. You can become an agent of change, a visionary, and in control of your own self development.
Each chapter presents a concept of commitment followed by an exercise designed to produce positive results. A set of questions help stimulate new thinking and self-discovery. Completion of these exercises and carefully answering the questions will help the reader to develop the virtues of courage, wisdom, fortitude, and generosity. These exercises are designed to be completed individually or with a friend. You will find that by applying Susanne's principles will become an exploration into self actualization, wholeness, and creativity.
Susanne shares real examples from her professional and personal experiences. In this way the reader is bonded to the author who becomes authentic and genuine as a person. She challenges the reader to recognize that this will be the result and the mark of assimilating the "Ten Commitments".
This is a timely, powerful and dynamic self-help guide for every woman.
