Excellent novel that takes us back to a simpler time and way-of-life, and that entertains us with the brilliant story-telling of the author.

John Blair has written a number of sci-fi books, and I've enjoyed each one. This one is more hard science than his others, but was very interesting. Recommended.

The rich tradition and history of Kansas basketball is captured in this book. If you are a fan of Kansas basketball, the book is a "must-have." Many of the stories I had heard from my father and grandfather, both KU basketball fans, were rekindled in reading this book. And, many of my own memories, which had grown hazy as the years past, were revitalized by reading this history.

This book by Mary Norton Kratt is a coffee table book with a great deal of historical content. The pictures show much of Charlotte's rich history and the well thought out text wonderfully underscores it. As with Kratt's other books this one is one that you will definately go through more than once. It is the perfect book for those who want to learn more about this jewel of a Southern City.

This was one of the first romance novels I read when I was a young teen and I loved it! The female lead is so unsure of herself that it makes the whole experience more realistic for the reader. I kept finding myself relating to her and urging her on at the same time. I remember reading it again and again and I can't wait to give it another go!

I thought it was a great follow up to Harry and looking forward to
book #3 in the trilogy! I liked the way the characters came together
from both books.

The Nasser D. Khalili Collection is the greatest collection of Islamic art in private hands. Among its holdings of manuscripts is a fragmentary copy in Arabic of the Jami al-Tawarikh or Universal History, one of the greatest illustrated medieval manuscripts to have survived from either East or West. Her study of the manuscript's text and miniatures - accompanied by numerous colour details and duotone illustrations of comparative material - provides fascinating insights into the state of pre-Mongol painting and the working practices of a Persian atelier over six hundred years ago

This prepared me the best of any books I used for the cytopath boards. There were a few errors, as pointed out by other reviewers, and some of the info really needs to be updated, but there was a lot of useful stuff in a great format. There are no other books out there like it. If the author would update this book it would definitely deserve 5 stars.

Looking forward to reading this. After listing to the interview of John Bainbridge jr, i decided to buy this book and feel what the secret agents felt when they engaged the terrorist.
I will get back here with my feedback when I'm done.

The U.S. Government quit collecting data on franchising in 1986. The franchise industry has, for the most part, done a poor job of collecting good data. Blair and Lafontaine collect the data, such as it is, which has been reliably produced on franchising since 1986 and reveal four prevalent myths in franchising. Data are available for all franchisors and are also segmented among industries.

This book will be helpful for the person in a new franchisor operation responsible for creating the economic model, i.e., the initial franchise fee, royalty fees and advertising fees. The book won't be much help without a background of college-level introductory macro- and microeconomics. A basic knowledge of calculus will enable you to follow the analyses but isn't critical to understanding the conclusions. The book also critically analyzes the economic issues which impact franchisor-franchisee tensions.
