When I started my career in broadcasting, this book whas one that helped me understand the mechanics of the midia. Forty years later, it's a enjoyable reading, bringing memoirs of a very good time in my life.

This book provided me with a great blueprint for understanding what it takes to set and achieve any goal I set. On the following lines I have written out one of the paragraphs that Gary Ryan Blair includes in the very first commandment that made all the sense in the world to me. I hope you enjoy it.

"You are born with great capabilities, but you will not achieve your potential until you call upon yourself to fulfill it. You will rise to the occasion when it presents itself. Yet, to assure self-fulfillment, you must provide occasions to rise to. Clearly defined goals allow you to travel toward another horizon that represents the end of one experience and the transition to a new and better existence. The objective is to choose the right goals, and then to create the necessary causes-the effects will follow!

The item I received was perfect. It was the shipping that took too long. I though I would have it by a certain date and it didn't come until at least 5 days after the date I was told.

This is such a fun book to browse. It hows miles of pics of all sorts of dollhouses. I found it very inspirational.

An absorbing fast paced novel that keeps you guessing until the very end. A gripping story. I couldn't put it down.

Barefoot's book is an interesting read on North Carolina's important contributions to the Revolutionary War.

Whether describing battles such as Guilford Courthouse, Moore's Creek, Cowan's Ford or the homes and gravesites of patriots, the book contains important information of each event and person and clear directions on how to reach the place.

Indeed, if not for Barefoot's book, I would not have the appreciation for the role and sacrifices paid by our early fathers to establish the great country we have today!

Since I live in Charlotte, the book has many times served as a valuable guide for touring the various sites.

Highly recommended along with his similar book on the Revolutionary War in South Carolina

This book inspired me to plan a series of long weekend trips to the lower NC coast, and revisit some of the places I vacationed at as a child/teenager. There are many historic and curious areas and sites pointed out in every chapter, places that we drove by years ago, but never really took notice of. For instance, a civil war ship wrecked close to the beach and now located under a fishing pier is only one of the many curousities Barefoot discusses. I was also inspired to visit places I had never been, such as the town of Southport, at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, and Bald Head Island, just a 20 minute ferry ride away. The descriptions of even the smallest details given by Barefoot lured me to find these wonderful places.I can now appreciate the lower NC coast both from the historical perspective, and from the aspect of its unspoiled, natural beauty.
