I have used this cookbook for over ten years and never had a cake to fail. Every kind of cake is included with more than one recipe for most cakes.

Given the importance that money plays in the harmony of a marriage, it's hard to think of a more important topic in either the aisle of books on Investments or the aisle on Relationships. Yet the topic seems to "get lost between the cracks" of these two gendres. This book fills the void by examining couples' attitudes toward money, by providing insight into the nature of our discourses, and by advising with much practical information and case-studies.

Reaching into her background as a psychologist, Victoria Collins believes that our attitudes towards money are rooted in our childhood. "Your financial life from cradle to Jr. High School deserves a second look", she suggests. The author also looks at other influences ranging from parents to church to contradictory expectations in the post woman's movement era.

But Couples & Money book does not over indulge in theorizing. It gets down to earth with worksheets, 10 essential truths, and numerous examples of real life financial counseling sessions. Most importantly for me, Collins deals with games men & women play vis a vis money. She gives advise for the most effective manner to address financial issues, using what she refers to as "MoneySpeak". Collins begins by asking "why does everyone find money so damn hard to talk about?" She then proceeds to advise couples how they can change their communication mode from one of confrontation to one of collaboration

An excellent book for couples wanting to get their money goals in-synch and, more importantly, wanting to improve their relationship. Victoria Collins' essential message is reflected in her comment: "As we all know, it (money) never really buys lasting freedom, security, love and power, but only a temporary facsimile of those states. To feel really free, secure, loving, and powerful requires emotional maturity, an integrated sense of personal value money cannot buy."

I have at least 200 books on military history & this is my favorite book on naval history of the Civil War. It covers well-known events like the Battle of Mobile Bay & the last voyage of the Hunley but also covers little known topics like the Union Navy's "fighting ferryboats" & their disastrous Red River Campaign in 1864. This is well-written & a treasury of information for those who don't know much about the Naval aspects of the Civil War. It has some excellent b & w photos including a great photo of the CSS Nashville (after its capture at Mobile Bay) & also has the last photo ever taken of the steamer Sultana before its tragic explosion which killed over 1,600 men, even more than were lost on the Titanic or the Lusitania. This book also has a rare photo of the CSS Shenandoah which is surprisingly clear considering its age. For all military history & especially Civil War buffs this book is highly recommended.

This book was dangerously excellent in which Bruce Blair clearley stated that De-Alerting is the right way to prevent an accidental nuclear launch. This book presented historical information and greaquotes for any policy debater.De-Alerting should be taken seriousley and this book states why.

This book will save you money the instant you encounter hardware problems with your Mac or peripherials. Even top technicians would save a lot of time diagnosing the problems. With this book you just have to look up the symptoms. It's that easy. Though only old Macintosh models are covered it will help you spot problems on newer machines too. A must for every Mac technician and all Mac users who want to save money! By the way: repairing computers on a component level helps save the environement

Digging Up the Past is an excellent book filled with dynamic characters who are mysterious and yet you feel you've known them all your life. The Arizona setting is filled with history and tradition. I enjoyed this book from the first to the last page!

I LOVED this book. It is a great treasure hunting story from the early days of SCUBA diving. About two best friends that were world class travelers, treasure hunters and adventurers. One, a writer for the Saturday evening post(with access to all it's money). The other, a 21 year old ex marine under water demolition expert come ancient Spanish naval historian. The two go looking for treasure laden Spanish galleons on the desolate coast of the southern Yucatan peninsula. Full of excitement, danger, history, and great photographs, this book will make ya feel like a kid on a particularly fun day. Well it did for me because it was written by my dad. My son loved it too !
