This book is by far the most exhaustive text on the subject. It is wonderful in that respect. It is a difficult read and
not for a casual entertainment in my opinion. Think more of a in depth study or someone seeking a deep understanding of the
subject.
I intend to use this as one of my foremost references for AS Church research for quite some time to come.

No ordinary man could write such an extraordinary book! Kudos to Mr. Blair for defining "Class" in many different scenarios
for those of us who are ordinary to be able to identify and understand "Class" in our own lives.

This is the first book of a wonderful series about a young girl who is eager to start life as a young business woman. Given
a chance to model at the department store where her aunt is a fashion stylist, Connie finds a summer job as well as a mystery.
The characters are fun and the plot is well written. Yes, this is from a time past, but it's still a treasure to me.

This is one of the best-edited anthologies I've ever read. The poems show such a diversity of talent and there is real meaning
in their placement within the volume.
For anyone interested in Appalachia, the mining industry (no matter what your take), American History or current events, it just has something in it for everyone. Very well done! I recommend it to anyone interested in contemporary poetry.

Excellent; The Color of Hate captured our attention from page one to the very last page. A comtemporary story that is American
History at the same time; this family's fictional story is very real and continues in households across America even today.
Well written, enjoyable and comical: great story!

As a woman with a family and a busy career, I appreciated this insightful study of the cultures of career dedication and family
devotion among professional women. Mary Blair-Loy is a gifted interviewer and has elicited candid and fascinating stories
from her respondents. She is a sociologist who provides a sophisticated analysis of her findings. Yet the writing is always
clear, readable, and interesting. I thought about these women's stories long after I had turned the last page.

Not many readers know about this book that is literally the most "Complete" book on science fair projects out there. This
is an all-new revision of the original book that came out in the 90's and it has been updated with great information, drawings,
photos and more. It is the best resource for students who need to do a science fair project and need to know everything from
finding a topic to carrying out an experiment to delivering a presentation before judges. Resourceful ways in which to find
a topic, where to go for help, how to measure and calculate data, etc. There are also 50 classic sample project outlines
with illustrations that give students ideas for projects in all scientific disciplines, an ample list of possible project
topics, a detailed list of possible subject areas to find a topic in, with a useful list of websites where a student can find
information on almost any topic, scientific supply stores across the US and Canada, a list of every science fair in the country
and around the world and their corresponding websites (where available), and a list other competitions students can enter
their projects in. In all my years of working with our school science fair, this book is still the authority on the subject.
Highly recommended for all in grades 5-12.

I know there are many out there with loved ones in Iraq serving our country. Have you ever wondered what life on the base
is like for these soldiers? Though a civilian contractor, and not a solider himself, the author of this book offers gives
us the inside scoop about life on the base. The writing is clever. The jokes are witty. The serious moments bring tears to
your eyes. Overall this is a great book. I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in Iraq or to anyone who wants
a good read.

Mastbaum, Blair and Will Fabro, editors." Cool Thing: The Best New Gay Fiction from Young American Writers", Running Press,
2008.
18 New Stories

Today gay young people have it so much easier that I did. They can, in most cases, come out without the fear and pain that many of us felt and they are certainly more open that my generation was. This collection of short stories, wonderfully edited by Bair Mastbaum and Will Fabro is full of the excitement of youth and the stories deal with all of the aspects of GLBT life. These are the voices of the young and they bring a new dimension to gay literature--one we have not had much of. They look at sexuality in a different way, it is not a struggle for them and their coming out stories are wild, happy and enthusiastic and not important as they once were.
The stories are like the colors of the rainbow--diverse and beautiful. I do not have much is common with the writers in this anthology as they did not face the same challenges and obstacles as I did but that does not mean that these stories do not speak to me. The writers here are also searchers and they sometimes find and sometimes don't. And as they search, they also flee from certain issues. What they do more than anything else is give us a picture of what it means to be young and gay today. They are also willing to write down their experiences and share them with us.
The stories deal with drug abuse, looking for sex, imagining sex with Brad Pitt, of an eco-terrorist action plot, of a dead boyfriend, and other topics. They represent youth in all of its aspect and they are great reading.
