Biggs Books

This is the book that never was. Publication dates have varied since 1999. First 2000, then 2002, finally 2006. It has never been published, and no explanation has been forthcoming. If you noodle around the NewSouth Books web site you can find excerpts of several chapters, and the reading is worth it. This would have been an excellent addition to the story of China's struggle during the Second World War. Perhaps a write-in campaign might move NewSouth to get it going?

This is a marvelous book. It is in Samoan only, but even if you are just
a beginner it is great to have a real Samoan text that - unlike the
Samoan Bible - represents authentic Samoan culture and history.
And an added plus - it marks all the long vowels and glottal stops.

This is by far the best book I have ever seen written about the Nunnelee family. It has DOCUMENTED and VERIFIED information along with references. And rather than writing a book on assumptions, Mrs. Dennison has written a book on authentic documentation that had to have required thousands of hours of research. I would highly recommend this book to any Nunnelee, Nunley, Nunnally, Nunnelly, etc. for their genealogy research tools.

As an former air traffic controller I can tell you that Don Biggs not only explains how the ATC system works, he makes you understand in your gut what it FEELs like to be an air traffic controller. If you want to go well beyond learning about ATC concepts, mechanics and technologies and get inside the mind, personal lives, attitudes, and feelings of a unique breed of people doing an equally unique job, read this book. It's excellent!

But something strange was going on. Most every time Tina spent time with Mitch she kept remembering Jake. Was she losing her mind? She hated Jake for leaving. And no other man attracted her as did Mitch. She tried to keep a withdrawn friendly attitude every time the sheriff came around. She didn't want any trouble.

Who had wanted Jake dead? Who had betrayed Jake? Where were the answers to be found?

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - great read - add to your bookself - you should enjoy this one.

My son (second grader) read these in record time. He laughed out loud. He said these were the best books ever.

This little book is all about making shots (or shooters). It's spiral bound so it lays flat which is helpful when working at the home bar.
It has some great recipes, 75 of which are for the raunchy drinks, like sex on the beach, french kiss, etc. There are ideas to show you how to pour multi level drinks so the ingredients don't mix. It shows all the tools of the trade so you know what you need to set up your home bar and what you don't.
It gives definitions of all the different liquers, brandies, etc. and then tells you how to play all the typical drinking games.
All the recipes for the drinks have nice full color pictures. The only downside is it doesn't exactly say how many ounces you're suppose to pour. It just says pour some creme de menthe, pour of sweet galliano, and then add dark brandy without regard to their proportions.
But I guess with shots maybe it doesn't matter? Most of the drinks we've probably had at one time or another so you'll just have to figure it out.
Overall a great little shooter book nonetheless.

Nicole is an exceptionally honest and down to earth writer. She doesn't go easy on herself as she details her path as a single mother. Her straight forward approach is refreshing. Her examples make it simple to follow her journey to wholeness and self esteem after her divorce. If you are looking for life changing help with lots of hope thrown in, this book delivers. I intended to read a chapter the first time I picked it up, I read half the book before I could put it down! I love the action steps at the end of each chapter. Nicole reminded me that, "There is power and creativity in you that is unimaginable......You are the future and you are beautiful. Reclaim yourself!"
