Some interesting episodes from the history of graph theory

This book teaches basic graph theory through excerpts from original papers in English translation. In between, the authors
discuss the history and the mathematical concepts at an elementary level, hoping that the book may serve as a first textbook
of graph theory. I think it could serve this purpose very well. There is a lot of focus on the puzzle-style origins of graph
theory, starting with marvelous 18th century classics of Euler and Vandermonde and then including many other charming little
topics like for instance a very nice 1895 paper of Tarry on how to find your way out of a maze. There are also topics from
other fields (e.g. chemistry), but here I think the background discussions are a bit weak. Something like half the book is
centred around the four-colour problem, which is historically faithful and necessary, but it is obviously disturbing that
the book ends long before this problem was solved.

The Elders Hassell, in spirit, word, and by example, demonstrate the wrangling of truth towards a reformed church in this
vastly interesting account of the journey of Baptist peoples.
While they do not make an icon of the word Baptist, their thoughtful interpretation of history clearly shows man's journey regaining an individual relationship with God, as they sift the journey's events casting their lot towards the integrity of the individual, and man's constant search for truth.
When one reads this book, they should not be astounded by the social commentary proposed by the authors, because this type of commentary exists in the works of Swift, Fielding, and others; nonetheless, their poignant call always towards the spiritual message of Jesus Christ is strong, notable, and unique.

As a Delaware native and resident, I found this book to be stunning pictorial of The First State. This book has taken up full
time residence on my coffee table, and I have given it as a gift on several occasions. I would recommend this book to all
who have visited, lived in, or living in Delaware, as this book is sure to delight the visual sense.

Well written book about dressage competition and training. It is full of interviews with famous dressage trainers and personalities.
Also has great photos. It is informative without being boring, not always easy for dressage books. Would make a nice gift
for a dressage rider.

The content of Dr. Robert Biggs' Inscriptions From Tell Abu Salabikh is excellent. Particularly helpful are the excellent
hand copies of the cuneiform texts. The book also contains numerous photographs, both of the dig site and of the tablets
themselves. Some of the tablet photographs are, however, difficult to read. The introductory information is both informative
and concise. I found particularly interesting the material regarding the UD.GAL.NUN class of texts, which had yet to be deciphered.
This book is well worth owning, but is technical and more for the Assyriological student than the general public.

This book about traveling in Spain masks itself as a children's book, but, in reality, it has been a Godsend to adults as
well. Ms. Biggs' style is informal, fun, yet highly informative; it will get you where you want to go as well as to more
off-the-beaten-track surprises. The drawings are charming, and children, as well as adults, would be well-advised to take
this little compendium with them to Spain. Too bad it is out of print. Muir press should reconsider.

Kundalini Yoga and Eudamonics is an excellent for beginners looking for some no nonense information about kundalini yoga.
The book is down to earth with very clear descriptions.
The photographs for the poses are also very good. Very clear. Nicely done.
By the way - Eudaemonics refers to the science or philosophy of happiness...

A Little Bit of Everything Grade 1 is a great source of ideas for elementary school teachers. I work as a media specialist
in a K-5 Elementary School and this book has given me many great ideas for lessons. With its focus on the whole curriculum
you can find many activities to relate to any subject your class is studying. This book is a great source of integration
ideas. My students have also enjoyed the activities I have used.
