Just came across this big/little gem recently.Though this book was published in 1994,it is as good as any I've seen. Not a lot of pictures, actually 14 in all, they are excellent and a good variety. One thing that makes them so good is their size,14 x 16 in.This large size results in the pictures having the same effect that you get from poster sized images.Once you've mastered "seeing" these;give a Jig-Saw puzzle of one of these images a try.Good Luck!!!

I am currently looking for a software programme that will allow our company to produce images similar to those shown in the book. These images are for a shipbuilding company. If anyone out there can help and offer a site to have a look at, I would be most grateful.

Amazing 3D images.

We have children at different ages and reading skill levels, yet this one satisfies the crowd. The pictures are excellent, the text large and clear, and the animal descriptions are accurate and fun, and easy to memorize (your children will soon "read along" with you). A top pick and a crowd pleaser when our oldest dughter gets to pick a book for her siblings.

I remember reading this book when I was a little girl, and loving the beautiful illustrations. Now my little girl is reading the book and loving it as much as I did. Garth Williams did a great job with the artwork. It's a great book for introducing infants and toddlers to the world of farm animals.

The PERFECT book for teaching your toddler about animals!

Twenty years ago, I used this book to teach my two younger siblings the names and sounds of the farm animals. We read it until it fell apart! I recently purchased a new copy for my two children...and they love it, too! The illustrations are magnificent! Children will love to read this book again and again. A timeless classic!

This is such a good book and mainly because I couldn't find the treasure before the end of the novel. This took place in the Gulf of Mexico. I liked how the author described the setting. It's so cool when Wishbone talked to himself. 5th grader - Nick Gormican

ISBN 0689831013 - I'm having a hard time finding a board book that doesn't deserve 5 stars for one reason or another and Bear here is no exception. From the soft, board-reinforced cover to the bright, glossy pages, it's a winner.

Bear loves opposites - and introduces the young reader to many of them. Play indoors (checkers) or outdoors (soccer); have fun getting dirty, and then have fun getting clean... and much more!

These are the simple sort of opposites that little children can understand and Bear and friends, particularly for fans of the TV series, provide an extra reason for enjoying the book. They'll want the rest of the set - and so do I!

This instructive "Bear in the Big Blue House" book is based loosely on the television episode "As Different as Day and Night." In this story, Bear is exploring opposites. There are all sorts of opposites to explore --- black and white, indoors and outdoors, big and small / tall and short and even clean and dirty (Pip and Pop covered in brightly colored paint and then in the bath.)

The colors on this are wonderful and charming. Each and every page is fully illustrated and the text is simple enough for the youngest readers. Another winner for "Bear in the Big Blue House" fans.

This is a Super-Chubby board-book and easy to hold on to. I bet this is probably one of those books that wouldn't even get damaged if it was taken into the bath, not that I would try it.

I've just started incorporating a night time read into my eight month old son's bed-time routine and Bear is a big part of this. He loves the bright colours, the warm characters (he waves to Bear and Tutter on the cover every night), and I love the scope the pictures give me to make my own additions to a story.

This is a great series of books. I know I'm buying more of them!

This book is a favorite in our house! Of course, some nights it's dinosaurs and some nights is Bear! This is a really cute story about how Bear and all his friends see the same shooting star. My son loves it and has loved it for well over 2 years. This book gets read so much, I'll probably have to buy a new one soon!

This is an excellent regional photography book. It covers the general fauna, flora and topography of the Big Horn mountain region of Wyoming in a very artistic fashion. It is not intended as a comprehensive review but as an ex-Wyoming native it sure reminded me of the glorious beauty of the last frontier.

This book satisfies the soul and well as the eye.

Anyone with a little practice can take nice, well composed photographs. What makes a photograph art, like all art, is its ability to speak to something deeper inside, to draw you into it, to evoke an emotion. Esther McWilliams is an artist and her photographs are pure art; a feast for the soul as well as for the eye. Her ability to fine beauty in the little things that most of the rest of us overlook is also a delight.

Excellent photography and very informative!

We have quite a large library of books and this one is of a quality that National Geographic might have their name on. Not only is it well put together, the photo's capture the beauty of the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming, and the animals, birds, and flowers, at varioius seasons of a year, it does so in such a way in makes one want to visit and see it first hand. And it is an interesting book that one can set out to be viewed without any concern if a child looks through it.

Culturally rich, extraordinarily bubbly and down right fun, Becka goes to India from the Becka and the Big Bubble series is the ultimate childhood story experience. Jumping from one part of India to another, Becka happily immerses herself in Indian's long standing culture. Exploring the Himalayan mountain range to running over the green rolling fields, this books gives young readers a look at one of the most exotic places still on the face of the planet. Introducing readers to key Indian cities, wild animals of India and one of the most famous landmarks in the world, Gretchen Schomer Wendel and Adam Anthony Schomer drive the story towards having fun and the innocence of discovery. Holiday celebrations, legendary leaders and the beauty of traditional ancient Indian instruments are carefully introduced in a simple to understand format but which delights the readers too.

Illustrations are bold, big and beautifully done. Illustrator Damon Renthrope doesn't hold back anything in bringing to the foreground the wonder in colors that India delivers. Courageous colors skip throughout the pages of the book

With proceeds from the book going towards finding a cure for cancer, these authors and publisher are setting the tone for combining good learning with good cause. Becka goes to India from the Becka and the Big Bubble series is one of a powerful series of rhyming picture books that teach and inspire youthful readers. It's the one book that even parents will enjoy rereading every night to their children.

We have the whole series of the Becka and the Big Bubble books and my daughter loves them. Books that rhyme are a big hit with her right now and I love all of the fun words like "flippity-free" and "pippity-pop." And, I also like that I am introducing her to new places and new cultures, even at her young age. A definite hit at our house!

We have almost all of the Becka books now and read them to our son all of the time. I especially love the Becka Goes to San Francisco book. My husband proposed to me under the Golden Gate Bridge and we lived in the area for several years. We love having a children's book that exposes the wonders of such a special place with our son. Now when we take him to San Francisco, he can immediately relate to all of the sites he's seen in his Becka book.

Both my girls just adore Becka and her adventures. My two-and-a-half year old loves it when Beck blows a bubble and floats off to her next adventure. My five-year-old is just tickeled by the rhyming story line and asks question-after-question about the cities Becka visits on her bubble. I especially love reading the "San Francisco" version, being that I grew up there and the authors magical story-telling bring back some wonderful memeories of childhood. It's truly a book any child will love! We have all the "Becka" books and can't wait for the next one! It's soon to be a classic!

Some people say that Stan and Jan Berenstain -- after writing nearly 300 books over the past 30 years -- are out of ideas. But "The Berenstain Bears and the Big Blooper" show us that there are still plenty of stories to be told by the lovable family that lives in a treehouse deep in Bear Country. It seems that strong language has crept into every aspect of life, and has become very prevalent in television and movies, many now viewed by young children. The story helps families to talk about the use of "bad" words, and adds an important message that parents (and all adults for that matter) should take to heart: adults shouldn't be using these words either (especially around kids). Stan and Jan hit home with this book, and I look forward to more titles, especially in their series of First Time Books, which continue to help families to deal with the first time experiences and important lessons of childhood.

I have been a fan if the Berenstain Bears for as long as i can remember. I remember i started reading the books when I was in elementary school and I am 21 years old. I have found all the the books to be both educational and humorus. I still to this day collect the "first time reader" series and have a few books from other series as well. I hope that one day I will be able to share these books that I have loved as a child with my own childern. This book here "Blooper", just goes to show that the bears cubs stories should never end. I enjoyed these books as a child and I do hope that these books will continue to be written so to watch the bear cubs grow and experience more of the world and how they deal with the problems that they are faced.

My 14 month old loves these soft books. This one is really very good because he can easily remove the objects because there are holes in them and he can pull them out without struggling. It's great for restaurants because he's still in the throwing stage and these won't harm anything.

Our daughter loves this book. As fast as we can put the shapes in the book, she takes them out. Hopefully, she will soon learn to put the shapes back in the book. She chews them, waves them, and hands them to us. They are also fun in the tub.

My one year old twins got this for their birthday and just love it. They can pop the shapes out and put them in their mouth. The pages are easy to turn for them and they seem to read the book longer than others. This book is my favorite in the series because all of the shapes have holes which make it easier to get the pieces out.
