Oh ugh. I started reading this at 6:30 pm MDT on a hungry evening. STUFFED is not recommended to be read on an empty stomach,
unless you're prepared to pause after reading the opening segment quoted below, and get yourself out to the nearest buffet:
>> ... breaded shrimp, oysters, scallops and white fish... placed proudly on center court was chicken, deep fried, roasted and BBQ glazed... to the side of containers of potatoes, both mashed and scalloped. Gravies of three varieties sat next to the potatoes waiting to be ladled on top. And steaming vegetables such as corn, beans and carrots all had large spoons at the ready.... the true buffet master doesn't worry about the order in which.... there will be something totally different that holds the title of most important to me for each individual visit. <<
This short was written in an easy-flow, entertaining style and read my mind:
Are we all so alike in this one area and type of human consumption? Before you question my question, read a typical observation from Hapless Harry, "Noticing space around the perimeter of my plate that appeared empty, ..."
Joshua Berry knows how to spread the taste detail around "taking a bite of bread" (to get the fullness of that remark, see my Listmanias directing to reviews of various culinary mysteries). I won't quote any of the slurp surging passages from this Amazon Short, hoping to shove your saliva glands into buying and reading it. See how culinary masters can twirl even the most basic of words to feature and feather flavor, especially around buffet barometers. This Amazon Short dramatizes precisely how that juicy wordsmith art is accomplished to the point of a reader's stuffed satisfaction.
Here's another sample of sagacious observation made by Mr. Berry, "... anything that can be breaded will be breaded."
STUFFED is not just a delightfully sensual display of taste trivia designed to put a smile on your plate. It is life. Berry has zapped the jigsaw and made it whole, in a single buffet trip packed into an Amazon Short. To understand that comment at full capacity (AFTER you've finished reading "Stuffed" ... and burped), read We Work All Our Lives and What Do We Get?: A True Account.
Thank you, Mr. Berry, for your review of one of my Amazon Shorts. Whenever I'm able, I enjoy returning unanticipated flavors. Speaking of which, the designs of the covers on this Hapless Harry series have exquisite artistic flavor!

That's Holly Hobbie, encouraging her friends to tough it in the rain to deliver party invitations. After all, her dog Doodles
is having a lot of fun, so she knows if they stick with it, they'll get the job done.
"Surprise Party!" is the book adaptation of the first-ever direct-to-DVD "Holly Hobbie" special. Holly and her friends are putting together a big birthday party for Holly's Aunt Jessie. They've managed to put together a convincing cover story and now must all work together to get things ready on time. It takes dedication, teamwork and a spirit of fun.
Being a paperback book adaptation of a TV special, obviously there's a lot that this out. Still, this book captures the spirit of the special and can be enjoyed whether you've seen it or not. It comes with 65 holographic stickers to decorate the book, or whatever you or your kids like.

Joy Says a Child Should Always be Prepared

This is one of Joy Berry's "Survival Series for Kids" books and I have to confess that my son Devon and I like them all. I've
had them in storage for years, way before Devon was a twinkle in my eye, or my gal Sara's, and I'm glad I saved them.
In this book Ms. Berry and illustrator Bartholomew, with your help, will teach your child the value of being prepared. They learn they should know their name, address and phone number and there is a place in the book for them to write them down. They learn that they always need to know where Mom and Dad are and how to contact them. They learn how to contact the proper authorities in case of an emergency and they learn how to deal with emergencies that may happen at home. Yes this is a book for a child bigger that a toddler, however my toddler and I like it just fine. Get 'em started early, that's my motto.
Though this book was written over twenty years ago, it still stands up. The excellent comic book type illustrations will keep your child interested as you read along with him or her. And for the life of me I don't know why these books are not easier to get. Joy Berry is good for children, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. If you can get a hold of her books and share them with your child, you'll both be better for it.

Berry's incredible attention to detail shows his meticulous attention to period detail to its best advantage. His style is
carefully crafted yet fluid. The story of a hunter of ghosts in ancient China is wonderful reading and beautiful viewing too.
In this one, Moonlight Cutter is forced out of the capital city, but must still find a way to protect the palace from a vengeful
ghost...or will he join forces with it?
I ordered mine right away, because I bet these high quality books will be collector's items soon, if they're not already.

This book has been almost eclipsed by Bettie's and daughter, Jennifer's Taste-Berries For Teens series, which are also great.
Don't overlook this one, though. Written in the author's signature style of warm and down-to-earth reverie, this book is
uplifting and instructing. Readers will be better for a jaunt through its pages.

I would encourage corporate America to read and digest the issues which Mr. Martin raises, not only in the isolated same-sex harassment arena, but for an education into the mindset of a tenacious plaintiff who is willing to risk all for the sake of a belief that he was wronged by a company and organization to which he gave his all, and most of a career. This book, then, is a warning and an education for human resources directors at all companies. Such a story of harm and betrayal at the hands of a man's employer may encourage others similarly situated to fight, but if the proper lessons are learned, Mr. Martin's narrative may do well to prevent such from happening!
Sincerely,
James H. Stock, Jr.
