Saint Bernard of Clairvaux has been called the voice of conscience and dominated the Catholic church for nearly thirty years.
"Bernard of Clairvaux: Sermons for Advent and the Christmas Season" is a compilation of his sermons, a definite but highly
complex message he wished to convey to the world: that the Word of the gospel wishes to be reincarnated in the reader by being
read, that the gospel lives on in the words, and that reading the word will grant one personal recognition of the true divine
nature of the word. Translated from the original Latin by Irene Edmonds, Wendy Mary Beckett, & Conrad Greenia; edited by John
Leinenweber with an introduction by Wim Verbaal, "Bernard of Clairvaux: Sermons for Advent and The Christmas Season" is highly
recommended to community library religious study shelves or anyone seeking a renewal of faith.

A well-rounded story makes this book much more fun to read than "Oh see Jane." Noticing the author's name is Berniece Freschet;
I wonder how the hero's name is Bernard. This nicely illustrated book has all the intrigue and pathos of an English mystery,
complete with English terms.
It all starts with aunt Hilly's Visit to Bernard's old brownstone house at the top of Beacon Hill in Boston Massachusetts and takes us across the Atlantic and a mystery of mysterious jewel disappearances.

This is the correspondence between George Bernard Shaw, the famous playwright, and Beatrice Campbell, a famous actress at
the time, over the course of forty years. Though both were married to others, they seemed to have loved each other. There
is no evidence of a physical affair, but it definitely was an affair of the heart.
The play, "Pygmalion" (which was the basis of the musical "My Fair Lady") was inspired by Mrs Campbell. Eventually she did play the part of "Eliza" on stage, but it was only after much pleading by Mr Shaw. When she finally did finally play the part, she was wildly successful with it.
This book is a wonderful look at the lives of these two famous people and their love for each other. Read it and enjoy.

Proud, hard-working Bernard suddenly becomes biting mad and no one knows why. The solution to the problem is discovered by
accident, however, and from that day on Bernard was once again a hard-working, well-adjusted rooster. Charming, bold, "old-fashioned"
illustrations.

I can't really articulate what makes this book great. Two types of work are shown here:
One is a strictly geometric. A grid of circles on a black background, all the same size, are in fact round white objects of varying size placed throughout a room so that they appear as a grid from only one view point. The exercise is repeated many times: A room full of random objects present an impenetrable grid of squares, totally frustrating perspective. An expressive line, like a drawing, carves out space. But it is not one, but several lines, some pipes, some poles, a stocking, all placed near to or far from the camera to appear as part of one whole.
The second variety of work is a type of hazy landscape made from items placed atop table tops. Not models, but haphazard items arrayed to form nebulous, incidental representations. I can't even tell what most the objects are! But these images are the the most intriguing for me, more so than the others because of the extreme enigma the contain.
Buy it? Well, I've already got mine. You would probably want to see the pictures before you do that, and the only place I can recommend for that is the NYU Bobst Library on Washington Square in New York City. Good luck!

This book is fun, interesting, catchy and leaves a big question mark in your head about what will happen next to Bernard Wheel
and the Lake Elsinore Boys. This book also reminds you that you can do anything if you believe, or in other words, you can
do anything with mind over matter. The book hypnotizes you to read more and more. It is the kind of book you can read over
and over according to my son, who is a fifth grader.

My son is two years old and he loves this book. I had to read it to him four times the first night we had the book. The
illustrations are fun and it is very easy to read. One reason my son loves this book is that he can relate to all the ways
bernard's family tries to get him into the tub with bath toys, and bubbles. Plus the fact that bernard and his family are
elephants doesn't hurt.

Recently my first grade class listened as I read "Bernard's Nap" and it seemed they thoroughly identified with the nap-delaying
tactics employed by Bernard. Their eyes sparkled as he was not only able to put off napping for a bit longer, but was able
to tuck in all the adults in the process. The pictures were soft and comfortable and filled with interesting and unusual
details because Bernard's family are elephants, and as my childrens said, they live in an 'elephant world'!

STUDENT: In my voice
Bernard and a student could have been Matt Damin and Ben Afflick working on Good Will Hunting piece
Icebergs turning in spring mineral swimming pools for the readers
But writers have to get themselves done first.
Okay he is published here's a star.
Everything he told in class not to do he has done in his book
1.No titles to poems,
2.Semi colons and commas not love letter's reading to the eyes, 3.Chosen swear words for literature,
4.Big words before the little words,
5.Mommy dearest about his love one's private life,
Published because of Money and kissing positions,
Forgive me if I don't buy the fourth book
I need a bit more creative ceramic molding with each line
