Berg Books

This book by two accomplished divers attempts the daunting task of guiding us through the myriad of Florida wrecks. The book is broken down by city or location and gives a history and a nice preview of the dive for each wreck. What is really great are the color photos, both above water and underwater shots. The only draw back to this book is the lack of exact wreck locations.

This is the ultimate gift book for a close friend. I'm giving it to a friend as a gift, and I would also like to recieve one. You can share your true feelings and it gives you a good layout to do so.

I found this book to be an informative and thorough text on the growth of Germany from its adolescent childhood before the industrial revolution to its mature feminine stature as a strong European power.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in doing missionary work in Latin America. It describes the changes that have been occuring over the past few decades. It is an excellent source of history of the Christian Church and their involvement in Latin America. As a person who has lived a large percentage of my life in Latin America, I feel this book represents the life of Latin Americans in a positive but truthful manner. If you are interested in the changes of the church in Latin America, I believe "The Gospel People" is a must read.

i loved this book--i had the good fortune to find it in the national gallery bookstore while in washington DC and read most of it before i left the city. it is a fascinating story that has been explicated in extreme detail by berg. l'enfant was incredible--a big dreamer with the connections to get much (but not all) done. my only complaint, and it is a petty one, is that the book is overwritten. berg has much to say and a vast vocabulary in which to say it, but too often he uses 40 words when 10 will do. it made the journey a bit taxing; a bit of editing and trimming would easily make this a 5 star book. very interesting tale--if you have the time and inclination to learn about the origins of washington DC and about late 18th century history, definitely read this book.

VERY comprehensive, and information presented in may different ways/comparisons/ranks/and lists. Two drawbacks: 1) Should have been pulished as a CD-ROM database, and updated every year. 2) Does not separate Forced Induction with Naturally Aspirated engines in the engine comparisons.

I felt this book had many good ideas on introducing yourself as an elementary school counselor. I have 2 other books on the same topic, and this one is by far the best! Great reproducibles, too!

This book is a welcome addition to the contemporary writing on video art. It has what a lot of the other books are missing: much more detail on the technology behind the cameras, editing systems and installations; it situates video art in relation to the other art movements; and it offers an in-depth discussion of video art's links to experimental music. If you (or your students) have access to the Video Data Bank "Surveying the First Decade" tapes this book is a great compliment to many of the videos featured in this collection. It provides detailed accounts of many key works and is particularly strong on figures like Woody and Steina Vasulka, British video art and European video art which a lot of books ignore entirely. I would recommend this in tandem with Illuminated Videos.
