This is a lovely compilation of poetry about the wonder of words. Being a word-lover, I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful little book. The illustrations were imaginative and expressive, and complemented the poetry beautifully. "Wonderful Words" is fun and poignant for children of all ages.

This is one of the most upbeat, happy and melodious albums I own in my jazz collection, by far. The great Tony Bennett teams up with crooner KD Lang, to bring a new and wonderful take on some great, classic jazz tunes. They include "Exactly Like You" and "La Vie En Rose." It sounds like a distinctive combination, since their styles are so different, and indeed it is, but definitely in a great way. Tony Bennett has a wonderfully open sound to his voice, here, and KD Lang really sounds totally and madly in love with him (this is a departure from her "Constant Craving" folksound she was known best for in the early part of the 1990s). This CD is great to have on, for a romantic dinner or if you are dancing close to someone you love.........great stuff!

Stacey helped me train both of my dogs as puppies about 5 years ago, so I was not surprised when I'd read only to page 16 and there it was! A description of less than enjoyable dog behavior that I was currently experiencing, with the solution clearly set out. Thank you Stacey! You saved me when they were puppies by helping me train them to be pleasant and well behaved, my dearly loved companions, and you've come to the rescue again.
This book will help with issues that may come up in the future and it has certainly given me a deeper appreciation of how my dogs view the world. I believe that the insights in Stacey's book have helped make my relationship with my dogs richer and even more rewarding.
"Woof Did You Say?" is a must read for anyone who currently has a dog or is thinking about bringing home a new canine companion!

This book is basically about all of the buzzwords or TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms) of 1994. I found it a very fascinating book.
This book is a compilation of about fourty different authors, each of which write a different chapter on a different aspect of manufacturing.
A lot of the chapters focus on the buzzwords of the time, like JIT, TQM, QFD, ISO 9000, and SQM. I found it really interesting to see what had changed and what had stayed the same. I have the following observations: 1) That all of the government based programs (ISO, Malcom Baldridge awards) are still around, 2) That everything that has a pattented, proprietary chart or graph is gone (QFD, NewComp), 3) That everything that claims to be everything to everyone is still around (JIT, TQM, Benchmarking, ERP), 4) That the biggest difference between now and then is that computers have allowed connecting the supply chain further (This book talks about the ability to connect to your suppliers, and then talks in a separate section about how to connect to your customers. Modern books push the Customer of Customer and Supplier of Supplier concept).
It was really interesting, because things were a lot simpler, as far as supply chain back then, so I recommend reading this to everyone to get a good idea of the basics. A lot of the newer books that I've found delve right into complex concepts like the Advanced Supply Chain Model that connects everyone to everyone else. Where do you start learning in a model like that?
The funny thing is that every chapter was extremely interesting, except the one written by the compiler, Thomas Wallace. His chapter was really boring. The guy can compile, but he can't write. But the other 39 chapters are great.
I really, really liked the format of the book. Each chapter is set up in the same format with 1) the body of what the book is about, 2) definitions of key words, 3) Q&A, and 4) chapter summary. Probably the definitions were the most interesting part because they didn't just repeat parts of the body of the text, but they provided a lot of additional information. Whoever came up with the format of this book was a genius, and really should roll it out to more books.

This is the fourth in the series of Mystery novels by Robert Bennett and it is by far the best one yet!! His main character Lanny O'Brian once again leads us through a maze of intregue, romance and suspense, but this time it involves even more excitement, unexpected twists, kidnapping and even murder!!! I could not wait to finish reading the book to see how the plot all unraveled. Mr. Bennett kept me guessing right up to the very end!! Mr Bennett once again provides the reader with a Novel packed full of interesting facts and incrediably detailed insights into his characters personalities and lives. I have come to think of Robert Bennett as a "thinking mans author" and I have never been dissapointed by his books. They also make great gifts for the men in my life!!!!

As the title says, it's been a while since I've read this book. I first read it in first grade in a small library. It was one of the first twenty or so full length novels I had read at that time, so I simply read it twice and checked it in. A year later with many more such books under my belt I realized that I had passed up a very good read and went beck to look for it. When I got there, the librarian, a good friend of mine, told me that the book had just been sold in an old book sale. Since then I have hunted for it off and on for eight years without success. Now I've found it and I can't wait to see if it's as good as I remember. I liked the main character and was intrigued by the idea of time-traveling centaurs. I don't remember the youth's name, but the synopsis of the story, as my almost nine year old memories recall, is as follows. Born to a winged mother, the boy is the only male member of his race born for years. There is one other who is bittered by age. He turns out to be the fullfillment of a prophecy and enemies arise to face him. There is more but I don't trust my memories enough to commit them to the written word. However, I do recomend the book. It is a good read.

Imaginatively written by Jo Ann Bennett-Boltinghouse and featuring illustrations by Jennifer Julich, Yolanda-Baby: A Pooch Finds Her Purpose is the picturebook story of a young dog who overcomes her feelings of insecurity as she becomes a participant in greyhound racing, retires to a rescue farm, and is ultimately adopated by a family. A welcome and prized addition to family, community, and school library collections for young readers, Yolanda-Baby is a story of dealing with being teased and bullied, as well as a profound tale of friendship, belonging, love, and animal companionship.

I read this book twice in two days, just before returning to car sales after a 6 month absence. I found the simplicity refreshing. For the beginner, this book is a good, quick, concise, and comprehensive instruction manual. For the veteran in need of a little something to stimulate their sales, this guide can get you back to basics.
Another great thing about this particular book is that it is not another sales training book, it is a book exclusively for car salesmen. Easy to read and informative, enjoy.

This Play is awesome. It is able a 10 year old girl with leukemia and how tries to fight it and stay strong. It is really about trues courage. With the zebra world and the human world combined together, this play is sad, yet has some humor. This play incorperates many different characters, each who add to the story! I totally suggest this play to anyone... anywhere!
