Excellent messianic book.Review Date: 2008-04-27
Mr. Bennett communicates his points effectively and in an easily understood manner.
He provides a clear definition of Yisrael(Israel),Torah, and how the original "assembly" or Natzarim were much different than the Juadaism or Christianity of today.
The author explains what a disciple was in Yahushua's time. Talmidim is a taught one or student and how that applies to today
Todd Bennett describes the Creator's calendar and how it differs with the modern calendar.
Pagan symbols and names that are attached to Christianity are discussed from the perspective of an author that has experienced membership in a Christian denomination. Translational differences mentioned by the author are easily confirmed by consulting various translations of Scripture.
His chapter on the magi and "three wisemen" was intriguing!
Two themes of "Restoration" are Repentance and Renewal.
This is an excellent resource for any messianic believer and anyone that is seeking the truth of tradition vs. Scripture. I highly recommend this book.

Memorable TeachersReview Date: 2004-02-01
is the excitement of learning, the thrill of discovery.
A great acting teacher is not one who can most effectively direct actors where on teh stage to stand and with what expression to recite their lines. A great teacher helps, directs, creates the environment wherein the students can make discoveries. And any discovery is part of self-discovery.
Jeff Bennet's book, SECONDARY STAGES is a roadmap to the process through which disovery becomes possible. It makes the journey dangerously safe, instructively fun. It methodically conducts us through the maze of adolescent psychology to the lovely place where spontaneity is possible.
It is able to be inspirational and simultaneously grounded in practical reality. It is pedagogical (in the best sense) and simultaneously personal. The book is logically organized. Its structure is a function not only of ideas but of the experiential progression of the teacher-student relationship.
It sets inspirational and practical goals, it offers pathways to get there, it identifies problem areas and offers incisive and practical ways of understanding them and solving them.
It is a great guidebook for any student or teacher of the craft of acting...and of teaching.
An essential read for theater lovers: new and old.Review Date: 2001-12-07
Jeff Bennett is a sage of wisdom, and through our countless conversations he has guided me on the right paths, in life as well as my career goals. By being my mentor through the troubling years of high school woe, Mr. Bennett has been the most influential teacher I have ever had.
People who are involved in theater, or teaching theater at the secondary school level need to read this book.
Yet, life-long learners would benefit from reading Jeff's perceptiveness.
Jeff Bennett has the uncanny ability to connect with students of any age. Through this book, others can now share the privilege I have had for years.

since I first met the Illustrator while he worked
at my school back in the early 90's and I must say
his work is so exceptional and detailed. Our school,
J.J. Shaughnessy School, Lowell, Ma. has papercutting
work he created just for us. This book, "Ragged Shadows"
is timeless and fun to read the spooky poems and stories and of
course the magicical illustrations. This book may be hard
to locate now but search around (on line) and find it and share
with family and friends during this special season.
