This book is so much more than a manual on self-realization. It is a manual for living. In clear, concise language the Shivapuri Baba relates very practical advice for putting your day-to-day affairs in order, thereby creating the leisure to focus your energy on your spiritual endeavors with your free time. I highly recommend this book to everyone seeking to create a balanced structure for their daily life, a structure which will serve as a strong edifice upon which to build the temple of their spirituality.
One note to buyers: The book I purchased has 8 blank pages where there should be text. It looks like a publishing error. Before purchasing, I recommend contacting the seller to check if their copy has the same problem.

Lovemarks is the coined phrase Kevin Roberts CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi uses to describe brands that go beyond the traditional feelings consumers associate with the majority of today's brands e.g. respect/value limited association of positive emotion. A lovemark on the contrary is more than a brand it has personality, passion, drive, purpose, and most of all an undeniable loyalty among its massive group of consumers (fans of their brand).

This is absolutely the best dictionary for children I have found. It has large print, concise yet accurate definitions, and numerous, absolutely beautiful illustrations. Children love to thumb through it just for fun--the information flows in by osmosis!

I owned this book when I was a child and still remember vividly the reference section and how I used to peruse the book for fun. My older sister bought it for me when I was nine years old. Well now I'm a 32-year-old speech-language pathologist, and I promised my 7-year-old niece the other day that I would buy her a dictionary. To my amazement I found the very dictionary that brought me so much delight as a child. I am so glad to see this "gem" is still in print.

I belive in the history of bookworld this is an extravagant book. It easily potrays the art of housing. I belive this is a very detailed and delectable book. I could just eat this book up! No joke.

How does a dog go to Mars? This charming, yet realistic, book written by Dr. Jeffrey Bennett, tell us just how a dog and astronauts may take the first manned spaceship to Mars. Max Goes to Mars is jam-packed with interesting scientific facts and information in fictional story form, which always appeals to young readers. Even better, the scientific information is explained fully in readable, understandable terms without over-simplifying as can happen in children's books.

The illustrations by Alan Okamoto make a perfect marriage with story, which is the ideal for picture books. The paintings also convey a technical detail and knowledge that young readers will pour over time and again, always finding something new to discover. Almost every page has sidebars for the readers who want to learn more about the science of space travel, Mars, and the ancient mythology about the planets. As well, there is an activity page near the end, which demonstrates the orbit of Mars through a movement exercise. Most special are the photographs of the real Max at the end. They are heartwarming and will bring the readers closer to Max and his adventures.

This book is extraordinary as it brings so many elements together in a nice harmony. Teachers will also find this book to be a marvelous core for the space unit. Most highly recommended for ages 4 - 10 and classrooms from pre-school through fifth grade.

Max Goes To Mars is an outstanding book that combines a fictional trip to Mars along with the non-fictional information that is included on each page. Both children and adults will find the story and artwork, as well as the factual information motivating and exciting. Teachers of elementary and middle schools will find the book the perfect interdisciplinary tool. Activities are included.

Outstanding Book, I have learn so much information regarding the Diesel Engine, very technical yet, easy for a begginer to follow;This book cover most of the Diesel manufactures including the most dominant at my work the Detroit Diesel Series 50.
In some instances some of the more season mechanics have thumb throu and found answers to their questions.
Most of all my book arrived three days after placing the order. my next one will be HEAVY DUTY TRUCK SYSTEMS.

I bought this book knowing relatively little about German Lit and reading this book made me feel like an expert. Bennett's book is incredibly well done, and it crosses the boundaries of genre and national literature like few others of its kind. A great book for the drama enthusiast of any age, and it will certainly appeal to specialists.

Benjamin Bennett is professor of German at the University of Virginia and one of the finest Germanists in the country. This book may be his magmum opus.

When I was younger I was one of those kids who memorized the state capitals and wanted to know detailed information. I would have been crazy for this book which has some basic factual information, but is really a celebration of poetry and our country. The art is amazing and vibrant. It's a gift book, but I know children will actually dig in and really enjoy reading it. Highly recommed for school units on poetry and the US.

Take a journey through this great county through the eyes of poets. Fun facts from each state, maps and beautiful illustrations enhance the selection of poems. I was hooked from the introduction on. Good for all ages.

Behind me on my shelf, I have three copies of this textbook. The first copy is from 1966. It is a look back in time that is enough to make any childbirth professional giggle. The second book I have is from 1978. Again, this outdated book is a serious look at midwifery, with photos that are outlandish. I keep these books because I find the evolution of the books phenomenal... and yet, the content has not changed much over time. Childbirth is still physiologically the same as it was in 1966.

The third book I own is eight years old. While it is not the most recent edition of the book, it was the edition printed before the current edition. This book has been what the previous editions have not been for me: a serious textbook about midwifery. Realistically, there are hundreds of midwifery textbooks out there, all of them good. But the Myle's textbook stands out above the others for a number of reasons. For one reason, it is simply well written. For another reason, it is been kept current with the changing times. And for a third reason, it tends to be the accepted textbook in midwifery study groups everywhere. The information in this book is solid and helpful. As a book to read as an aspiring midwife, this is definitely an intermediate level book, although the first few chapters begin gently. It is a book I would pack with me if I travelled.

I was only just wishing this week that I had my old Maggie Myles textbook with me. I left mine behind when I left Zambia where the book was used as an excellent tool for those of us practicing as midwives and educating young Zambian nurses in the same skill. The book helped me many times in difficult situations to make critical decisions regarding the mothers and babies in our care. I never dreamed I would get a chance to write a review. I doubt it is to the standard you require. No matter. I know the book was up to the standard of any nurse midwife working in challenging circumstances.

The editors, Tony Bennett, Lawrence Grossberg and Meaghan Morris are well known academics and scholars in cultural studies. The New Keywords is a comprehensive resource for everyone furthering their studies in cultural and literary theory. In addition, students involved in anthropology, sociology and philosophy may find it very useful.
