Jim and Dottie Becker have managed to create a concise reference for 50 popular everlastings. These garden plants are the
foundations of what you see in expensive dried flower arrangments. They provide all the information you need to grow each
of the featured plants. The plants are arranged in alphabetical order. Don't know the names of your favorites? Each plant
is showcased by beautiful, clear, large color photographs of each plant with smaller photos inset of variations. In addition
to the propogation information for each plant, the Beckers also provide practical information to start your own everlasting
garden, dry the results and how to use the dried flowers. A glossary and index are also included. All of this is contained
in 93 pages! I highly recommend this book to beginning and experienced gardeners alike.

This is a great addition to my daughters collection of little people bibles. This is her favorite as she can get the "real"
story and it provides an art project too. She gets to learn a memory verse and sometimes a cute little song. Buy this and
be blessed.
A Winner!

Family Funstuff Bible Stories: Elementary is an invaluable resource and a bargain at its list price. I enjoyed the many and
varied forms of artwork, types of stories, and activities that are directed toward my elementary children. It's one of the
most phenomenal Bible storybooks that I've seen in a long time. I have given a copy to many of my nieces and nephews and as
birthday party gifts, because I was impressed by its content and how exciting each page looks to children. It isn't uncommon
for a child to pick this book up and spend hours going through its colorful pages. Personally, I think this is one of the
best and least expensive (for what it contains) books to come to the market in recent years. No wonder it was a finalist for
the Gold Medallion award from the Evangelical Christian Publisher's Association.

I am always looking for doll clothes patterns ,for my dolls as well as my granddaughters dolls. This is a great book for both
today's 18" girl dolls and the dolls from the 40s and 50's.
Patterns are in 2 size ranges to fit both slim bodied dolls as well as the average slightly fuller bodied !8" dolls.
Construction is simple and the book is full of tips and methods for cutting bulk in seams, designer detailing and specialty designs.
Maybe if enough interest is generated, the publishers will do another reprint. It's a great companion to The Essential Wardrobe book by the same authors.

If you own an 18" doll like the American Girl series, than this book would be wonderful. Of course, you have to enjoy sewing
too! The patterns are very easy to make and really fun! I would highly recommend this book-

A surprize catch which popped up on my amazon radar. A most fascinating wide-ranging book spanning two important private
collections. These are not scholastic orderly museum collections. Instead they hold a free liberal style of color driven
by private pleasure...... . . . Artists in these chosen works use intense expressive stylezation in a fresh approach to create
a new color/form space. Seldom seen Klee paintings fusing color and childish motifs. Beckmann utilizing his heavy nervous
brush imposes anxiety upon his still-lifes. Kandinsky's pictorals may look mundane in 2008. But these bold color explosions
were painted 100 years ago! His Murnau Garden II is a joy to behold. Russian - Parisian avant-garde: Von Jawlensky/Modigliani/the
seizurish Kupka. . . But the Gestural Abstraction collection shall have you spellbound. Stunning works by Nay & Sam Francis.
Hundreds of works brimming with motion and color.

This catalog surveys one family's generations-long accumulation of top-notch artworks. The collection is weighted toward colorful
works of the 20th Century (emphasis on colorful). When it comes to color few artistic movements rival the highly-charged palette
of French Fauvists and/or German Expressionists. These movements are well represented here with generous, high-quality reproductions
and rare biographical details about the artists. Feast of Color addresses anyone who believes that Brücke painters or individuals
such as Maurice de Vlaminck have yet to receive just credit. Let's hope this book marks the beginning of a trend.

This retrospective volume is so immense and impressive in scale and quality it is hard to describe. Becker's influence on
modern jewelry design is so far reaching that many take many of his trademarks (geometric aesthetic coupled with his obsession
with movement and kinetics) for granted in modern metals design. While this book may be a bit expensive for private ownership,
it is a must have for any art focused library collection or jewelry school.
Gorgeous book. Becker was a genius designer.

Whether you're interested in kinetic jewelry, or you just like beautiful photos of jewelry, this book is fantastic. I've
never seen work like his anywhere. For him, kinetic is not just a matter of adding some hinges or dangles, but designing
hidden devices that allow the jewelry to change its shape, or to move in surprising ways.
Get it as a fabulous coffee table book, or an invaluable reference work. It can be difficult to obtain, but is well worth the wait.

are squeamish.

The Becker Bible Studies is very powerful. You will find yourself going over doctrine, that you took for granted, or simply
forgot, or never knew existed. This study is for everyone, a child could easily follow along, and understand. Once you get
going in the studies it's very hard to put it down. The authors are truly inspired by the spirit, an love to challenge all
christians to take up the cross. It has changed my life, both spiritually, naturally. I feel that I have come closer to Christ
and continue to grow closer.
These studies get to the heart of God's Word!

This workbook is a treasure! Talk about the Holy Spirit guiding a masterpiece! The authors have taken God's Word and explained
it in a way that when you learn it...your soul says "yeah! Of course!" I love learning the material, and then taking the test
afterwards...it really shows how much we learned and understand.
I have participated in group studies with this workbook and on my own with my ten year old daughter. It works out great either way! The way it is set up makes it very easy to lead a study or to be a participant. If we have a question, just look back in the reading! We have finally found a reliable source to learn the true meaning of the Word of God! Thank you Becker Bible Studies, and God bless you in your endeavor to bring the Word of God to His people in such a crucial time when everything is so crazy and confusing!

David Becker has written a wonderfully comprehensible book about a subject that is very broad. To be able to discuss so well
such a variety of printmaking techniques, styles and skills over a long period of time is no easy task. He detects and explains
commonalities when that is warranted, but does not stretch the point to fit the title of the book. The book is thoughtful
and appreciative but not chauvinistic. It is also readable while being scholarly. The color illustrations are beautiful and
true. This is a great book for anyone who cares about printmaking, Art history or Maine.

While THE IMPRINT OF PLACE: MAINE PRINTMAKING 1800-2005 would initially seem to be of very narrow regional interest, in reality
it deserves a place in the holdings of any art library collection strong in printmaking representations. It represents a catalog
celebrating some 200 years of printmaking with a large collaborative fine-arts project embracing a series of exhibitions and
education programs, and as such provides the first chronological survey of the subject, standing as well alone as it does
with the exhibit.
