Beck Books

I havent had a chance to hear The Summons yet, but The Brethren was a very nice listen. It is so much nicer to have a book-on-cd to listen to during a long trip than just normal music. Music gets old, a good grisham novel pulls you in. If you have a shorter trip (or if you arent very patient) you might want to check out abbridged versions of his books.

Take A Hike by Fay Beck-Ryall performs a valuable community service by guiding us through some of Ontario's many outstanding hiking trails.
Beck-Ryall rates each trek in terms of difficulty and provides good directions for getting to each trail. She also offers at-times humorous accounts of her own experiences on these trails and gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect in the way of sights and sounds. All in all, it's an invaluable companion for any weekend hiker. Highly recommended.

It was difficult to find the right textbook since most did not come with a picture. This merchant did provide an image of the book and that makes the process soooo... much easier. Nice book, exactly what I needed.

A must read. I saw the movie but the details in the book are real life.

We really like Ian Beck's illustrations and so ordered this book. The illustrations are lovely--suggestive, exciting or comforting, as the story progresses. We've been reading this for several years, and my son has recently copped on to the fact that Tom's journey is imaginary (my little one is a realist like his mom). Tom also encounters the brave and clever Katie, making this an up-to-date entertainment for boys and girls. There's a lot of fluff out there for children, but this book feels like a classic to me.

As a native buckeye with no plant knowledge and a black thumb, this book is great! It is an alphabetical reference to all the native trees & shrubs. It tells you their good points, bad points, tips for success, etc in a very practical format. It also has TONS of photos of how the plant looks in different seasons. We moved out of the city & onto an acre, and this book has been used a lot!

This book is used in my 3rd grader's classroom daily....We are lucky! If it is not in your child's classroom, order it for them. The stories and illustrations are wonderful. Refreshing change! Get this book! It will be in your collection for years.

I just bought the TROPHIES GRADE 2 JUST FOR YOU THEME 1 BEING ME ( A HARCOURT READING LANGUAGE ARTS PROGRAM).... IT was a great help for my son , but where is the THEME 2 and 3 BOOK???

school misplaced my daughters book for full semester, teachers would not let them bring book home except on 2 days/week...test counted 60% of grade. books is fine. arrived quickly. i love amazon

This book is a great tool for referencing what women need as far as daily intake of vitamins, minerals, etc, and where to find them. She touches on a few subjects that affect women's lives, such as PMS, pregnancy, and even eating disorders. She tries not to get too deep into those, as I'm sure that would require another book or specialization altogether. However, what she discusses gives you enough information to make decisions on what foods you put in your body. A good solid reference for women who care about that.
