i loved this book. it's the kind of thing you shove in your purse before you get on the train in the morning, or read on lunchbreak--such a convenient size. it's loaded with great info on taking good care of yourself, and how it's not that hard to do. great gift.

It's a delightful book. In a publishing area that is often glutted with trivia, it is refreshing to find a book for children that says something significant in an entertaining and significant way.

Through amazingly creative pictures and text, this book entertains and enlightens children about important moral issues. Without lecturing or preaching, it demonstrates with easily understood situations and examples how seven dark and lonely places can be transformed into Seven Warm Places filled with Light, Beauty, Happiness, and Love. The bright, funny illustrations and the creative use of text further enhance the content. I highly recommend this book to parents, to teachers and to children of all ages.

There is no feeling like there is of receiving an incredibly thoughtful and personal gift. "Shades of Life" tells of Diane, and her search for this very feeling, as if it were a drug. Something hard to pursue but so worth it, the story tells of her ventures to make it a reality, but trying to find the right kind of thoughtful man to help her. "Shades of Life" is a unique and quick read of a romance tale, something romance lovers will enjoy as a treat.

She shows us how the twenty fastest-growing industries in North America will lead the U.S. into an economic recovery that is stronger than we think. I recall reading articles in Fortune, Business Week, and Time magazines back in 1994 that discussed the problems of a changing workplace. However, these articles and other experts were as yet unable to predict the source of the next wave of jobs in a "de-jobbed" work environment. I think Beck's book just did.

For christmas I got this science kit. It shows how to do chemistry. You wouldn't belive how munch fun it is. You learn about electricity and power windmills.

I bought this book direct from the author and am delighted to say it is everything I was hoping for. It contains a wealth of information from a man who lives and breaths housetrucking. The photos are abundant are of excellent quality and are captivating in their own right.

All shapes and sizes of housecars, trucks and buses are presented, and an invaluable insight into their construction is detailed. Hints and tips abound.

Rogers expertise and love of housetrucks and buses comes across very nicely in a wonderful and completely mesmerising book, I pick it up regularly just to fuel my daydreams. I cannot even imagine not owning this book. A first class work on an evocative subject. A highly recommended purchase

Some Turtles Have Nice Shells: A Picture Book of Handbuilt Housetrucks and Housebuses.

My son Sam received this book from Grandma and it is easily his favorite! It's an extremely interactive book in very creative ways. He has learned to count forward and backward through the blast off page in the back. He loves to push the blast off button and then read the rocket book. I'm telling you this is probably the best book around for a three year old!

For an elementary ESL class, this is a good book for a lesson on numbers. For Asian students who have difficulty with plural nouns, the book is good practice.

The text is written in a simple pattern which ESL students can easily follow. It is written in verse with cute illustrations.

As one who has spent alot of time in Summit County (and the Rocky Mountains, in general), I find this one-of-a-kind book a beautiful tribute to the area. The magic of these mountains, which have so much to do with my past as well as with who I am today, are captured wonderfully in these photographs. Even if you have never been to Summit County, you will not be able to deny that these powerful images of nature can soothe and comfort, but, at the same time, can be equally exhilarating! Check this one out!
