Beck Books

As someone who has taught over ten different community education courses in computing, I understand the reality that the success of the course is almost totally based on the quality of the instructional material. It must be clear, use step-by-step descriptions and move slow enough so that novices can follow it at an appropriate speed. This book does all of those very well. In my opinion, the amount of material is well-suited for a four-hour class.
While Vista clearly retains many of the features of the previous incarnations of Windows, there are some significant differences that will confuse some people. Therefore, this book also satisfies a significant niche in the computer training market. I would use it if I were to be tasked with teaching a community education level course in Windows Vista.

Our Christian Education committee reviewed this Bible along with 7 others and this was our favorite. We were looking for a Bible to give parents at baptisms for an under 3 year old age level. We found the simple messages, the love message on each page and the really cute illustrations all fit our needs to a tee. Also, the book is a sturdy boardbook which we figure will serve parents and children well.

So often, the oversized cookbook, resembling more a "coffee table" book contains recipes made only for the likes of Martha Stewart. This book provides simple, elegant, and quick recipes that many a novice cook can master. If you can get your hands on a copy now 7 years after the publishing date, don't pass up the opportunity!

This book, more than any other instructional manual, has really boosted my understanding of blues licks and riffs. Divided into three sections with each section focusing on one of the three greatest White blues guitarists in the history of electric guitar, you'll learn how to do a number of things with a blues lick that you might never catch onto if you are simply trying to mimic lines off a CD. Want to know how Clapton gets that powerful triplets-across-fours sound in some of his old Blues Breakers and Cream solos? This book will show you, and even better, let you hear the riffs on the included CD. Very much worth the money.

Baby Huey had a certain charm to him in both film and in comics. His innocence excused his stupidity or maybe it was more his awkwardness of his body adjusting to his severely under developing brain. Between his father and the fox you had to root for him. The fox who wanted to eat him and his father had a short fuse for the calamity that followed suit where Huey went. His intentions were always good, but the result was always painful for those around him. Jerry Beck has a wonderful intro in this fourth of a great collection of the Harvey line of comic books by Dark Horse. This is a line is greatly missed comics. Today kids would never go near these type of books. Sad. This is for the fan of halcyon times when things seemed a bit better. Youth always seems better to some. Not for Huey, he was always in some kind of trouble but still managed to find a joyful way out of his trouble. Unlike the Coyote who chased the Road Runner, this was one fox you never felt sorry for. First off, I like the great cover and spiral binding. It makes it easy to open and follow when cooking. All of the recipes I have tried are quite good. The graphics are nice and there is even a place to write in extra notes. I like this cookbook!

I recently purchased this hedge fund paperback in a book store in Montreal. The authors have done a wonderful job and are to be congratulated for their excellent writing style. The authors are among the leaders in Canada and produce an excellent Canadian hedge fund database [...]. This book provides a wealth of information for potential and current investors in hedge funds and funds of hedge funds. This book should be in the library of accountants, lawyers, money managers, and anyone interested in hedge funds. Great book, provides insights into hedge fund strategies and can educate investors on how to protect their portfolio in down markets. Well done!!
