The book contained fewer pictures and more information than I had hoped for, but completely makes up for it by including all
kinds of little doodles in the margins. The book gives good background of Owens, and the overall feel of the book gives you
a real sense of her as an artist. It had enough pictures to keep me happy, and the right information to make me want to read.

This is a great little collection of stories, fun little tales reminiscent of the Peter Rabbit and Friends videos. It makes
a perfect bedtime book! I recommend it to any parent for a great nightly tradition-starter, or to those who are just kids-at-heart.
The Peter Rabbit and Friends Treasury is bound to become a collector's item!

This is a short cloth book, but is loved by my daughter. You can wash in the washer/dryer with no problems. She loves to
"pet" the bunny on the cover since it has 'fur'. The colors dull a little from washing in the washer but it doesn't get all
messed up like some of the other cloth books (Fuzzy Bee and Jungle Time)

The book not only captures the two famous stories of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, but also over 40 beautifully illustrated
figures by Beatrix Potter. With these press-out figures and supplementary pieces for making a theatre, children can create
their own mini theatre and perform their very own play! The instructions and guidelines are simple and can help children
divide the play into acts and scenes. Parents and teachers will also love it as the mini theatre can attract children in
story-telling time! This is a perfect gift for young chidlren, as an alternative to electronic games!

This is a really cute book, contains easy to follow recipies for younger and older children. I have used the potato soup recipe
many times with a blender! It is decorated with the illustrations from the classic Peter Rabbit story books. It was published
in hardcover and softbound editions.

I found this gem of a bedtime book at the local discount bookstore and my 3 1/2 year old loves it! It is a favorite book for
bedtime - Peter Rabbit is tired and ready for bed, but where will he sleep? Readers are taken on a journey through wonderfully
illustrated pages in classic Beatrix Potter style, where the reader is asked if Peter will sleep with the ducks, with the
mice etc etc until the final page reveals his own sweet bed. The night light on the front cover is really cool - when a button
is pressed, the lights come on in the form of the moon and two stars and it stays lit for up to a minute, I think. A wonderful
bedtime story for little ones!

ASIN B000K6U10I - Potter's books are always very good and this one loses only 1 star because the retelling feels a bit disjointed.
Jemima wants to hatch her own eggs, but they're taken away from her until she decides to find a place to nest away from the farm. She comes upon an elegantly dressed gentleman who offers her the use of his woodshed and, when she lays her eggs, suggests that Jemima gather herbs for a celebratory dinner. Clueless, Jemima doesn't realize the man is a wolf, or that the herbs are for roast duck. She tells her story to Kep, who saves her from the fox but is unable to save her eggs. Jemima returns home and, eventually, is allowed to hatch her own eggs.
The story begins with "It is a funny sight to see a brood of ducklings with a hen!" - and the book never explains why the hen, and not Jemima, is hatching Jemima's eggs. On the next page, Jemima is suddenly trying to fly, apparently to find a nesting place, but it isn't stated. While these are small details, they give me the feeling that the person "re-telling" Potter's classic tale just snipped and snipped away at the text until it fit - regardless of the flow of the story.
Vaguely disappointing that way, but still a Potter tale and therefore worth having. The illustrations are great - nice detail, images all the way to the edge of the page and they compliment the story well. The board book pages are easily handled by small fingers, always a plus.

This story is about a duck by the name of Jamima Puddle-Duck. She isn't aloud to hatch her own eggs because the farmer's wife
won't let her. Where ever Jemima was, she would get caught and her eggs were taken away. Then one day Jemima Puddle-Duck
went looking for a nest spot. She saw woods in the distance and started to run. Jemima flew down to the woods and saw a stump.
A well dressed gentleman was reading a newspaper and Jemima started to quack. The gentleman invites her to go to his house
to lay her eggs and she agrees. Was that wise? Read the book to find out. I liked this book because of the surprise twist
at the end.

Children who love animals of all kinds, and especially insects, will love the Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse. Mrs. Thomasina Tittlemouse
is rather obsessed with cleanliness. She is constantly sweeping and dusting. Unfortunately for her there are a variety of
unwelcome guests that invade her tidy home: a beetle, a ladybug, a spider, a butterfly, a group of bumblebees who have made
a nest in her storeroom without permission, and a most unpleasant toad named Mr. Jackson who never wipes his feet and creates
a terrible mess. However there is a happy ending to this story. The watercolors are beautiful---I particularly like the one
of Miss Butterfly tasting the sugar. If your young ones have a dislike for creepy crawly creatures, then this story might
not be for them, but I have always found Beatrix Potter's tales delightful and unique, and The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse none
the less so.
