Barry Books

I really liked this book and anyone who grew up in the past twenty five years will like it too. The part about the bike races down the hill was right from my childhood!

This book was new and in excellent condition. It has a lot of very good ideas. I purchased it to give to my niece but liked it so much I decided to keep it myself and instead make her one of the suggestions in the book. I plan to make a couple more for some other friends and relatives.

This is the best introduction to brownian motion. The writing by Barry Simon is extremely clear, comparable to Donald Knuth. It covers:

-clear construction of Brownian motion

-demonstration of the Feynmann Katz formula -usual Simon work: Schrodinger operators, remarquable inequalities like the CLK, eigenvalues problems

-geometric theory of brownian motion

-very extensive bibliography for further reading

Nevertheless it lacks:

-conformal theory of brownian motion

-statistical mechanics (there is an explanation of feynmann series in a particular case)

I really enjoyed this textbook. The authors of this book really did a good job making you enjoy math. I used to hate math, but this book was an exception. They greatly explain theorems and other things so you won't get confused. One way I liked this book was its many math related photos. Also if you are confused on a lesson they have answers in the back in the book to help you to check your work or give you answers to things you are struggling in. They also have in class lessons so you can understand the concepts you are about to learn in the lesson and homework. They also greatly explain how to do proofs, and everything that involves triangles and trionometry to statistics and functions. They give you reviews and self-tests with all the answers in the back of the book so you can master the information you have just learned in the chapter. Also, I recommend this to anyone who loves math, anyone who is ok or great in math, or anyone who justs wants to learn trigonometry. Finally, all the teachers I have ever had me use UCSMP this book have always loved the books, the material that the studnets grasp easily, and the benefits that the book gives over other textbooks.

This text will teach you a lot of the proper ways of communication in the business world if you actually read it and not just skim through it. Remember, effective communication is everything.

What a pleasure to peek inside the mind of bright, sensitive, and very funny gentleman, while he attempts to cope with life on the road, dealing with the pressures of being a divorced dad, trying to make sense of a world seemingly gone mad, and being a liberal Jew in one of the reddest of states. Yikes!

Mr. Friedman writes with a voice that nearly everyone can enjoy and appreciate. A real winner.

Very interesting book giving the reader the background of a male stripper. Recommend it highly!

Well, Barry, you did it again!.. I thought the first book of the series,'Genesis 2' was fantastic!...Didn't think it could get any better but guess what? this book 'The Genesis Debt' is even better then the fist if that's possible!..and now I'm told that book three called 'Weapons' is coming soon! can't wait to read that one as well...What an imagination you have and I think its great that your sharing it with your readers.. Wouldn't I love to see your charactors on a full screen acting this out! wow! now that would be one heck of a sci/fi movie! Keep up the great work Barry!.. I love reading your books! The story is just so believeable! You put the reader right there seeing whats going on as they read it..wow!

Reading this account of History about the Georgian Bay area reminded me of many of the "oldtimers" I have met through the years on Manitoulin Island. I have been going there for 50 years and I have observed that a lot of this area has been standing still in time. Growth is very slow and rightly so, because of the inaccessibility of much of the land. The people I have met are true pioneers with the heart and spirit to match. They are hard-working people with a love of the land and a determination to make the most of what they have. We could all take a lesson from these people steeped richly in their heritage.

An excellent and engaging history of Germany's General staff, focused on the Nazi period but with an excellent historical overview during the lead up. I especially enjoyed the discussion of Clauswitz's philosophy as leading to the fascistic sympathies of the officer caste of Hitler's day. Brilliant analysis, complete with compelling pictures of many of the prominent generals and the import events from the general staff's prediction (including The Officer's Plot Against Hitler).
