A Unique Supplement to Catholic HistoryReview Date: 2002-10-17
What attracted me most to this project was the opportunity to write about lesser known saints. We know the stories of St. Therese and St. Francis, but what about the martyrs of Mexico who prayed and died alongside Miguel Pro? Pro expert Ann Ball offers a brilliant summary of those who died in the anti-Catholic purges of Mexico (interesting note: Ann Ball is the only contributor cited in Robert Royal's book of 20th century martyrs; Royal wrote the introduction to SAINTS).
SAINTS recounts tales of St. Andrew the Catechist of Vietnam, the 120 Catholics martyred for the faith in China, and Sister Maria Josefa, foundress of the Servants of Jesus. In all, 164 saints and blesseds are covered in this slim book, nowhere near the number of people canonzied by Pope John Paul II. Yet, SAINTS provides a glimpse into a most extraordinary year for beatifications and canonizations through biographies of people who live on through their faith.

Seeing a Man about a Horse by Lorne RodmanReview Date: 2008-01-30
Feder is more confortable like a horse than a man, but if the man he can play with is Casey... he thinks twice to run away.
Feder is like all the free spirits: he has a gentle soul and wants to help Casey, but he can't stay to long in a routine life that cages him. Casey knows that he, sooner or later, has to free Feder, but till that moment, he will enjoy having a lover.
Lorne Rodman has described with a gentle tone a fairy tale. She has managed to mix the reality of the Casey's life with the fantasy of Feder's existence. Also describing the sexual behaviuor of Feder and his ancestral boundaries, she still succeeded to feel it right.
A compelling short tale to read in a breath.

A Good Entertaining Light ReadReview Date: 2008-05-10
A fun collection of stories, I was attracted tp pick this up by the invisible dog factor but now that I've read this I'll check out others in this series as well.
If invisible man type junior fiction is also what you're interested in also check out The Invisible Man's Socks, My Best Friend Is Invisible (Goosebumps) by R. L. Stine, You Are Invisible: CYOA #48 by Susan Saunders, The Invisible Day by Marthe Jocelyn, Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich by Adam Rex, The Invisible Fran (Franny K. Stein, Mad Scientist) by Jim Benton and you can even get an illustrated version of H.G. Wells 1897 classic The Invisible Man (Great Illustrated Classics) as well.

A mysterious Incan curse (part 1 of 2)Review Date: 2004-12-05
For some comic relief here Captain Haddock tries hard to be oh so proper (he has recently aquired his ancestral estate and title). He is fixated on wearing a monocle at all times. This is an involved mystery with many clever bits of detective work and technology used by the characters. This particular book is definitely the first of two parts and doesn't stand alone. At the end of this one Tintin and the Captain are off in pursuit of a potential villain. But we still don't know what was in the crystal balls or how it connects to the Incan curse, and a major character has been kidnapped and not reunited with the heros. So you will have to read Prisoners of the Sun to not be left hanging after this one.

The illustrations are also simple, colorful, and equally engaging - a perfect vehicle for the story. Review Date: 2007-03-07

Sha's Golden Healing Ball is a gift of spiritual power that the Divine revealed to Dr. Zhi Gang Sha in 1995. This gift of Divine power is intended for all. Dr. Sha is the messenger that the Divine chose. In meditation in 1995, the Divine told Dr. Sha "Tell the world that a golden healing ball exists in the heavens and in the spiritual world. Tell people everywhere that it belongs to everyone who believes in it, who has faith, who has trust, and who is willing to use it. Healing will come to those who call on it." So anyone can call for Sha's Golden Healing Ball to come to give a healing or to offer service such as a blessing or protection. The book states, "The uses for Sha's Golden Healing Ball are endless. It's healing powers work on humans, animals, plants, and inanimate objects; on groups and nations; for the benefit of causes, the planets and galaxies, the whole universe." If your third eye is open, you can see Sha's Golden Healing Ball as a golden ball of energy. Use Sha's Golden Healing Ball with reverence, trust, and gratitude. Note: There are also some instructions on using Sha's Golden Healing Ball in Soul Mind Body Medicine: A Complete Soul Healing System for Optimum Health and Vitality.
