I got this book in 98 and i absolutely loved it. It is in complete japanese but who cares it is the greatest item for a real dragonball fan. If you have only seen the show on cartoon network and don't know what the word manga means or you pronounce kuririn "krillin" then don't buy this. this book is for the fan that knows everything and hate funimation. If anyone agrees with me then spread the word of real dragonball.

Beautiful. This book is one incredible piece of work. It contains info, pictures and summaries of each and every Dragonball and Dragonball Z movie and TV special. This is great to know so you can tell if you'd like to purchase a special movie, or whether you shouldn't buy it at all. The pictures inside are wonderful, they are of the best quality available in any artbook related to Dragonball. Like the other Daizenshuu it is entirely in Japanese so if you don't know it, don't buy it unless you are a hardcore fan. And I mean hardcore. I don't know Japanese at all but I would definitely buy it anyway for the pure value, and especially for the artwork.

This book is an excellent synopsis of the Dragonball series and Dragonball Z up to Captain Ginyus defeat. Even though it is inJapanese, the pictures are of great detail and color and the paper is of high quality. It also gives an entire list of every episode of dragonball z up to that point. They all come with a picture of what happens during the episodes so you can compare to the highly edited english version and see how many fewer episodes it took to reach the same events. It is a must for any Dragonball/Z fan and I highly recommend it.

One word describes this book... Excellent! This book gives a top-rated sypnosis of the beginning of the TV series. Although this book is in Japanese, the brilliantly drawn pictures explain the story to the English audience. If your are a true DragonBall fan, you will want this book!

In the series of books I read there were really strong martial artist. Also there were these small spheres about the size of softballs when you collect all seven they grant you one wish. So in the story they go around and collect them.

The main character is Goku. He is a fourteen year old. Most other characters say it makes you happy to be around him. To compare me and him you would have to compare where we grew up he grew up in the woods I grew up in Bethalto. Well Goku is really confident. I guess you could say we are the same there. He always wears a orange Gi and a blue under shirt. He also always wears a blue belt and armbands.

I loved this book it was soooo good. My favorite part was the world tournaments called The Strongest Under The Heavens. I liked it because I like fighting. I recommend these books to any one who likes action and adventure.

Okay, this volume continues from the last one, the finalists for the Tenkaichi Budokai have been selected. Our characters, now adults like at the beginning of DBZ, going to face each other in some tough battles. There's some great fights--- Piccolo, er, Ma Jr. vs. Kuririn, Goku vs. Tenshinhan, and Yamcha vs. Shen, and thankfully, unlike the DB anime there's no stalling. It gets right down to business first thing, so it's not a 3-episode wait between each battle. This is where things heat up, and the events that directly lead into Dragonball Z will begin here. If you're a fan like me who wants to check out what happened before Goku knew he was an alien, I especially suggest checking out this edition.

This book is my favorite of the Dragonball Z books I have read so far. It has one of the best battles in all of the series as Vegeta and Goku test each others limits. Each time Vegeta seems to be beaten he comes back from the dead. This is probably the first truly great battle of the series. Finally, vegeta is defeated when Gohan transforms into a giant ape and then falls on him. You should definitely buy the first four books of the series as they set the stage for the adventures to come.

The book I read was Dragon Ball Z, volume 26. This book is about a new evil villain named Magin Buu. His job is to defeat every living human on Earth and to destroy the planet as well. But lickily, Earth's hero know as Goku or kakarot, fights hard to stop the Buu, but is Goku's Super Sayain 2 strengh enough to stop the evil villain Buu.

Some of my favorite parts were when Goku finally faught neverthemore powerful Kid Buu and their battle lasted long.I also thought that it would be cool if Kid Buu could turn to a Super Sayain himself.

I really enjoyed this book and i would highly reccomend this book to people who like novel cartoons, suspence, and action so enjoy the many adventures with Goku and friends.

This is one awsome book! The final volume in Akira Toriyama's martial arts masterpiece Dragonball Z! The worlds greatest heroes have fallen, absorbed by the ever more powerful Boo, who has slaughtered everyone on the planet. Only Goku remains alive to fight... but even his strength will not be enough, unless he uses the magical Potara Earrings to permanently fuse with another warrior! Who will he choose, and when the dust clears, who or what will he become? On earth, among the stars, and even inside Boo's body, its time for the final battle! Goku chooses the Saiyan prince Vegeta as his Fusion partner, and they become the almighty Super Vegerot! Even Super Boo is no match! But then he absorbs Vegerot... or does he? Vegerot's plan is set into action! The acid in Buu's stomach sets them into 2 people again! Vegeta and Goku free the ones who have been absorbed, thus returning Super Buu to normal! But when Vegeta frees Majin Buu, thinking it would make him weaker, accidentaly sets loose the evil Kid Boo! The ultimate battle is here!

The End of an Epic
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 3 total.
Review Date: 2007-06-26
Dragon Ball Vol. 16 marks the end of Akira Toriyama's martial arts epic, Dragon Ball. In this particular volume, Goku battles Piccolo's son Demon Jr. in one of the greatest fights in the series. It brings a tear to my eye that Dragon Ball has ended, but at least in went out fighting. The story continues in Dragon Ball Z, but the sequel is never as good as the original, and DBZ lacks the charm and originality of the original. Than you, Akira Toriyama, for bringing us this epic.

This is by far the best volume in the entire Dragon Ball series. The battle between Goku and Piccolo is awesome and action packed, and also full of suspense. Possibly the coolest chapter in the book is "The Ten Count". This is the part where Goku unleashes all his strength against Piccolo and mortally wounds him. I highly recommend it for any reader of manga, whether you like Dragon Ball or not. If you don't like it, then you will after you read this.

This book is great! It's a really good Dragonball book. If you have a little kid that wants to get a Dragonball book, get him this one. Some of the other ones have things that might not be too good for little children to see ( vol.1 has some nudity.) I've read it like, 7 times aleady! You should buy it!
