After meating Lunch Muten Roshi takes Goku and Kuririn to train at turtle rock. After six months of hard traning Goku and Kuririn go of the the world martial arts tourtment where they meet some old friends and rivals. This is one of my favroit volumes beacuse it has good humor and action. This volume has some achool and tabaco use with some mild language and some tolit humor in it so I think it may be aproproit for some kids. Anyway good buy and part to the dragon ball manga series I also owen the Dvd box set of this saga.

This is the best Dragonball Z manga book since volume 12. In this graphic novel, Goku has just been stricken by the heart virus, while the Z fighters get their butts kicked by the newly awakned Androids No. 17 & 18. After getting his butt kicked by Android 17, Piccolo goes to Kami-Sama's Palace to fuse with Kami-Sama. But Kami wants to wait to see what will happen...... As seen in Viz's Shonen Jump Magazine. If you don't understand what i'm saying its best to read Vols. 1-13 before this one( they all are pretty good.)
The series continues...

Before I go into my review proper I would like to ask one question: how in the heck did the Red Ribbon army create androids as strong as #17 and #18 anyway? They couldn't even defeat Goku when he was a (Relatively)wimpy kid and now they got things that can wail on super saiyans? I don't get it. Anyway, on to the review. In this book Dr. Gero gets killed by the androids he awakened in the last volume who then proceed to kick Vegeta's butt. Piccolo fuses with Kami(which seems wierd to me, can a person fuse more than once?) Anyway, an evil alien shows up called Cell and that's pretty much it. I enjoyed reading it but it is probably not my favorite of the series, still it is a very good read for Dragonball Z fans.

If you've read any of the Dragonball manga issues, you've got to get the graphic novels as well. These are much more sturdy and more in book form.
Since Funimation ruined the american version of Dragonball Z, you can now read what Toriyama-san really made, or you could spend a fortune on the subtitled japanese videos and DVDs, but this is so much less exspensive and portable.

The Namek Saga begins with a bang (no pun intended) as Kuririn and Gohan play hide-and-seek with Vegeta and and his ex-boss,the evil Freeza, while trying to save a little Namekian named Dende and find the Namekian Dragon Balls so they can bring Kami-Sama, Chaozu, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, and Piccolo back to life. After seeing what power Freeza's forces are packing as well as Vegeta's newly developed ablitiy to sense Chi, things aren't looking too good for our heros until Bulma learns that Goku is on his way to Namek and Dende tells them of The Great Elder, the parent of all Namekians, who might beable to help them...if they promise to save Namek. Beautifully drawn and wonderfully told, this is yet another masterpiece in the DragonBall/DragonBall Z saga. Check out the Title Page Gallery in the back, two of the pictures will make you laugh. Enjoy!

Even though my son is 6, this book is "spot on" on helping me and him. Thank You Dr. Jim.

This book has SO much great information! It addresses the emotions parents go through and gives you the info to move forward. Now when therapists are talking about EI strategies, I understand what they are talking about. The Day in the Life part is so cool! It gives you ideas about what little things you can do during the day to help your child and which theory/strategy the idea stems from.

Alan Ball who also happens to be the autor of American Beauty is amazing. His writing in Five Women is so incredible. It brings a contrast between characters who all have the same feeling about the wedding. Each one of the five women has a very defined personality and is funny and witty at the same time! A fantastic play that my theatre company is thinking about doing.

This play is a must-read for anyone who says there are no good roles for women in the theatre. Ball's compassion for each of these extremely different female characters is unparalleled by any other male playwright. A joy to read (and perform) Five Women... will make you laugh, cry, and fall in love with each of its characters.

I've seen a production of Alan M. Ball's Five Women Wearing the Same Dress at a local community theatre, and was high impressed. Ball has a very distinct writing style, that underneath all the laughs, there is some kind of twisted mass of drama that is not always viewable throughout the script. On top of that drama, neatly and strategically placed is a laugh-fest of comedy. Five Women... encompasses all aspects of this. A truely wonderful show and script.

The content is conveniently separated into sections: Candies & Confections, Baked Gifts, Savories and Canned Gifts. There are also short but very informative sections on equipment you might need, gift wrapping and presentation.
The recipes strike a nice balance between being too plain and too fancy or overly complicated. I especially liked that all kinds of baking goods and candies where well represented: cookies, breads, toffee, praline, caramels, fudge, etc.
The book is small (only about 100 pages) but beautifully illustrated and itself could be a great gift for any cook.

I enjoyed reading this book and I found the artwork to be most interesting. This book explains two of our strangest creatures, the flying squirrel and the bat, who can fly although they are not birds. The excitement builds up as the birds find a way to make wings for the little animals, no bigger than mice, to prepare for the ball game. The action of the game itself is quick and intense, as the animals and birds battle it out. Can you guess who wins? You'll find yourself cheering for Bat as he dips and dives for the ball, but watch out! Bluejay drops the ball just at the crucial moment. I give this one an A+ for enjoyment.

I am happy to find a book that describes the game of stickball the way it was originally played here in the southeast. We Cherokees called the game "the little brother of war" in the old days. Even now our villages near the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina play against each other in the traditional was, by setting up goal posts at both ends of the ball field. You will hear the teams taunting each other just as described in this book. Thanks to the writer and the artist for helping to keep our culture alive.

What more could you ask from a picture book? The Great Ball Game of the Birds and Animals is a wonderful tale that explains how the bat and the flying squirrel came to be. Duvall's version of this story sticks closely to the original Cherokee legend with expanded imagery and character development. Like all great stories, this one teaches a lesson for human beings. Jacob's beautifully detailed drawings will hold the imagination spellbound as the story unfolds in crisp black and white. This book won the 2003 Oklahoma Book Award for Design and Illustration. I am proud to own a signed first edition that I obtained while visiting Tahlequah, Oklahoma during the Cherokee National Holiday. I highly recommend this book to art collectors and readers alike.

Rob Hall and Gary Ball, two New Zealanders who lived the dream of conquering 7 of the world's highest summits in 7 months. This book is full of breathtaking photography, a touch of humour, the heartaches and joys of conquering the summits and the tragedies which cut their lives short. This book is a must for those who have similar aspirations and dreams.

As a fan of mountaineering writings and photography I was pleased to 'discover' this fine new book. Most people will know of Rob Hall in light of the tragic storm that took his life and several others in May of 1994. But as you will find there is very much more to the Hall story and his amiably unorthodox business partner and friend Gary Ball. This book is very well-written and lavishly adorned with inspiring climbing photography. It
tracks the early days of Hall and Ball on their home peaks on the South Island of New Zealand to the world's Greater Ranges.
Although, there is plenty of lively dialogue concerning Everest and the issues of commercial expeditions between the covers, this book as a whole is a pleasant santctuary from the "controversies" of the Everest disaster. It serves to joyfully remind its audience of the enduring appeal of high mountains and the vibrant life that can be found there.
I highly recommend this book. It is a thoughtful illumination of two legendary mountaineers and the great adventure that was their lives.

Both the pictures and text of this book are authentic and tell the story of typical New Zealand adventurers that became famous and died in the mountains. The pictures are by Hall, Ball, and friends. You see what you have only read about in books on Everest climbs, from the dawns to the garbage. The text puts the Himalayan climbing tragedies in context of the lives of the heros and their friends. Details come from journals, letters, interviews, and memories. The author knew Hall & Ball well. This is a great tribute, compelling read, and looks good on a coffee table too (big book).
