So Sweet for the little one's. This book tells what God has done for us and written so the children can understand with beautiful pictures. Every one with small children should have a copy to read to their children. I am a grandmother and I enjoyed it. You don't need to be a child to enjoy Why I Love You God and Sister for Sale. We all still have some kid in us. LOVED both Books.

So SWEET!

This is such a sweet board book. I loved it! I can't wait to read it to my grandbaby who will be born in August. In this rhyming book, a child lists all of the reasons to love God, such as: roses that smell good to noses and raindrops and popcorn that pops. It's a very special book that would make a wonderful addition to any church nursery, as well as a delightful gift for the little ones in your life. Get this book. You won't be sorry.

I'm married and I never gave much thought to "why" save for the usual: "I love this woman." This book reveals the type of info that most men don't share with one another -- what men really think about marriage and committment. It was a quick, informative, fun read and whole lot easier to digest than an hour with Oprah Winfrey.

A book every man should be required to read!

Whether you're interested in getting married, or not, this book provides fascinating insights into the male psyche and the biggest male phobia: marriage. Men of all ages and backgrounds reveal their intimate thoughts about women and comittment. Finally, a book that tells women the truth about men and marriage. I strongly recommend this book for any woman that wants to get her man to comitt.

I was hesistant at first when thinking about ordering
this journal. I mean, why pay money for a journal to
record my wine batches. But after getting it and
starting to use it, I'd never go back to the old way.
Using the journal has made tracking my batches and
even making my wine batches alot easier. All my
batches and all my notes are all in one convienent
spot now. I would recommend this journal to every
home wine maker.

Never lose a note again!!

One thing I discovered after I started using the journal, was that it made it easier when making wine with a friend. I just grab my journal and head over to there house, I know I have all my notes and batches in there. I also discovered that before I got the journal I kept looking up the same info online again and again. Now I add the info to the notes section in my journal and it's always handy next time I need it.

A perfect way to stay organized

This journal is a great way to remain organized. I had kept my batches listed in a notebook before, but now I have something neat and clean for me to record everything about every batch of wine I make.

One senses immediately that Caroline Adams really understands the challenges we face as individuals... and as a life form. To be human is not easy. To do it with grace and truth and hope is an Art. Caroline Adams is an artist extroardinaire and her canvas is a lifetime...

Adams has created an "experience " that is visually delicious, soothing to the touch--and to the soul. Bright and warm and deeply comforting... She guides her readers toward light and the kind of peace one only finds through self-awareness and compassion.

What an incredibly hopeful book-- inspiring and insightful. There are pearls on every page! (I know several men who will enjoy this book too!) It is about How to Be. How to Grow. How to Live from the Heart...

"Woman of Wisdom..." is an easy and joyful read, divided into small sections, offering tools and opportunites to journal and inquire within to find what it is we value..and desire. I know that will turn to it again and again...it's a book I will cherish.

I've just bought 6 copies for friends! I received it as a gift myself, and can't wait to share it...

A wonderful inspiring book beautifully illustrated.

Caroline Adams has written a wonderful book that will inspire others to find unknown inner resources within themselves. She takes you gently by the hand and guides you along a path that she has followed herself. Heart speaks to heart. This book will strengthen everyone and especially anyone who has had or is coping with a difficult situation. Her thoughts are beautifully illustrated in own unique calligraphic style. In the world we live in today it is a source of joy to find a treasure like this that helps to build oneself up. Don't hesitate to give this as a gift to anyone. They will surely thank you for your thoughtfulness.

A Woman of Wisdom is wonderful. One feels that Caroline is a friend- always encouraging and even pushing us to recognize our unique strengths and talents. Her own experiences demonstrate how difficult times can lead to a more meaningful and rewarding life. An added bonus are the inspirational messages beautifully illustrated in full page color calligraphy. I plan to frame my favorites.

I picked up this book after seeing it and i first thought it was going to be a silly Harry Potter clone, but i was surprised!
This is a really good book covering alot of topics in a concese way. It is easy to read and understand and is just beutiful to look at also. It covers many of the topics of wizardy without going into the whole witchcraft thing too much. It also talks about like many of the anicent wise men also like Soloman. If u r looking for a book on WIZARDRY and not witchcraft then this is a good start.

Ansel Adams is SO, like, awesome!!!

These photographs are simply breathtaking! Ansel Adams had this uncanny knack for taking the beautiful mountains, trees, clouds and waterways of the High Sierras, and making them look beautiful. It's so amazing contemplating an Ansel Adams photograph: How he took something only visually stunning and transforming it into something so visually stunning is simply astounding!

How DID he do that?

Fantastic History of North American Trucking

I just received this book and I am so excited. It is full of great pictures from many different collections that show trucks from all parts of North America during different periods of time of the past 100 years. This book is a MUST for anyone who interested in trucking history in North America.

Absolutely thrilling!
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2007-01-23
This book is the most comprehensive I read about North American trucks. I have lots of books about trucks but none is as thrilling as this one. A wealth of pictures and information - I doubt that there's another book which delivers such a complete history of 100 years of trucking in the U.S.

The only flaw (if you want to find one) is that half the pictures are really too small. But this of course is to get more photos into the book. If all where as big as the other half, the book would probably have 600 pages (and the same time would be much more expensive).

I think at the moment you can't get a better buy if you look for a really good summary of a century of trucking.

New York City Magic From the 1950s

Review Date: 2005-10-09
This is a book that definitely should come back in print!

My favorite book as a middle-schooler, it introduced me to fantasy for children in a me (to me) truly exotic location--New York City. How exciting it is to remember Merlin the black cat, who leads young Jill and and her brother Ronnie on magical adventures in Central Park, in a medieval dragon-"infested" castle, among the constellations, with Indian head pennies come to life, and much more. And it's funny too!

Magical book
Helpful Votes: 9 out of 9 total.
Review Date: 2005-10-12
The 13th is Magic has haunted my imagination since I read it as a child more than 50 years ago. I came back to it on discovering recently that The Cat's Fugue is a real piece of music by Scarlatti (Sonata 30 in Kirkpatrick numbering). It has become one of my favorites. Other memorable associations are with whistling, pennies, and Robert Heinlein's story The Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan Hoag (also involving a non-existent floor in a building).

Yes, indeed, The 13th is Magic needs to be brought back into print, or else the copyright laws brought back to sanity. Under the old rules (28 years, renewable for another 28), its copyright would have run from 1950 to 2006. Now I don't even know how long it is protected (author's lifetime plus 75 years=??, but certainly later than 2025), to the profit of nobody, not the author, not the publishers, and especially not the children.
