"IELTS Speaking" is among the best texts on the IELTS Speaking phase of the test that I have seen. It is thorough, and prepares students well for the speaking part of the test. It imparts the information they need to function well and deal with the IELTS test competently.

The book covers all major phases of the IELTS Speaking section, dealing with vocabulary and useful phrases that are part of the individual sections. The book supplies lots of hints and language that will help the students put their ideas into a logical and organised form.

In addition, the book has plenty of practice tasks that work well, and give the students close to real-life experience and exposure to the rigours of the test.

In short, this text book may not look like much, but it is a powerhouse of material and ideas. I thoroughly recommend it for anyone who has issues with their IELTS speaking and needs some intensive work on that section of the test.

This book is unique in that it allows you to look up information on common symptoms and complaints and in a single page gives you a differential dx, workup, and treatment options. Great for use on the wards and as a reference as you are working up patients.

The spiritual needs of choir members who faithfully attend rehearsals and services, offering time and energy for the uplifting of the congregation, are often overlooked. No longer. The authors provide tons of examples and practice problems with answers. I used this book as a reference when I tutored high school students - it was the only book that I needed. I recommend it for any high school students, beginning college students (especially life science majors), or anyone who wants to brush up on their chemistry.

This book is an excellent guide to understanding many of the issues and challenges confronting those who work with students from underserved backgrounds. Although there's a great deal of statistical data, it's easy to skip it unless you're a data geek (not me) and get right to the clear and humane conclusions stemming from what appears to be excellent research. Well written and focused, the various writers have been well paired so the book appears to be one whole rather than many essays. In particular I appreciated the attention to "cultural capital" in the book and ways to evaluate programs geared to the underserved. This is a useful and I think essential guide for those working with student and counselor populations outside the highly privileged. I underlined a great deal and plan to use it as a handbook in the future.

This book is concise and is easy to read due to its questions and answers format. It touches all major subjects in ID, although briefly.Not very useful for clinical medicine.It even has some historical facts about ID that I found very interesting.

Concise and thorough, it uses two pages to cover each key topic in clinical pharmacology. This book covers the principles of pharmacology at the level needed for a doctor or medical student. Most other texts are either large turgid and incomprehensible or, if simple, have many errors. For more detail you may need to attend lectures or delve deeper, this is easy to read or use as a quick reference. Well illustrated with very clear explanations.

Excellent for researchers in the area seeking for a text book that will cover all aspects of a multimedia document life cycle (design, modelling, execution, distribution in the WWW).
