This book has excellent color illustrations, and will be of interest to students, teacher, and parents alike. It is a good introduction to the dentist's office for K-1st grade.

I was only 3 years old when my parents set me down in front of the TV set to see the man I knew as Mister Rogers. It wasn't until I found this literary work that I understood their desire to expose me to Fred Rogers. Between the ages of 3 and 6, I was able to comprehend Mr. Rogers on an asthetic infantile level, but too young to grasp his biting satirical spitfire that raided contemporary America. Like cartoonists Charles Schulz (Peanuts) and Jay Ward (Rocky & Bullwinkle), Mr. Rogers brilliantly utilized societal settings to tell stories that children can enjoy on their level, and grown-ups could enjoy on a satrical level.

"Going to the Doctor" takes us from the one-dimensional neighborhood (the neighborhood we saw on TV, I now understand, was the socio-symbolic setting that expoused Spinozist thought that, in 1960s Guajardian circles, was in its infancy)into the doctor's office. What I find fascinating is that Rogers prophetically portrays a "new century" health care system in the guise of a child visiting the doctor for the first time. The child is us; a society that fears the inevitable breakdown of security as we know it. The chilling detail is shown in the end of the book, when the child goes home believing he is cured, all is well, and the doctor is a nice man who wants to help. The security is the shame we all refuse to see: that the Doctor (the patriarchial supraneural mark of the government) is not Dad, but Big Brother, relieving our spasms, yet relievinng the contents of our wallet at the same time.

I highly recommend this book for children of all ages. Though a child may not see through the apparition behind the story, perhaps he or she will subliminally "get" the message.

I started with this book back in approximately 1985 in pharmacy school now I own the 10th version, can't wait for the 11th, it is a very handy quick reference. I highly recommend it for the student as well as the professional.

I have used Harrisons since the eighties. I am a Clinical Psychologist dealing with patients who often have multiple medical problems. Harrison's is a complete solution to getting up to the date medical information, not only the book and CD but also the Website. It is expensive, but if you only ever buy one medical text, this has to be the one.

I had bought this book originally because i have skin problems and i was looking for a cure. Although this book covers just about your whole well-being, i must comment that it did help my skin tremendously. This book pointed out and that i had to start w/ my health and to use home-made natural products. I constantly refer back to this book for detailed information that it provides.

At first, let me introduce myself shortly. I'm a university student in Korea. In this semester, we are studying TOEFL for the first time. Our English professor strongly recommended this book and we accepted without detail information. But we worried about TOEFL study because we didn't have any time to study TOEFL. But this book provided much satisfaction for us during the class. This book used easy words and interesting sentences for beginners. Nevertheless, the sentence structure is very good. In addition, a three(3) piece of cassette tape is very useful for students to improve listening ability. Also Vocabulary Appendix is very useful for me. Especially this book provided careful concern at the answer key by the adding the reasons. For example, Exercise 8A, 2. They live here since 1942. In this answer key, not only it was circled at error word "live" and be corrected to "have lived" but also underlined at hint word "since". Because of this, we can easily find the correct answer and understand. I convinced that you could promote your English in short time by this book. Also you can defeat the fear at TOEFL. You can see a sentence at the cover page of this book, "The most complete TOEFL book on the market" It's True!
