This is another fantastic resource for the firefighters to study. I highly recomend this book to all firefighters and fire officers. This is a fantastic study guide, full of information.

Examination Preparation allowed me develop a plan of study that was consistent with the present design of the Physical Therapist Examination. I learned what type of information was emphasized on the examination and conversely what information was not. Most importantly it gave me the confidence necessary to pass the examination on my first attempt.

This book, written with the British MRCS exam in mind is a brilliant pocket book for anyone about to sit surgical or orthopaedic clinical exams. It contains a system by system look at clincal examination with explaination of what to look for and why. The pictorial diagrams are easy to understand and go well with the text.

I brought it and passed first time!!

This is the best deep and practical introduction to data cleaning that I have seen. It provides an excellent overview of the practical problems in data cleaning, gives a good intuitive feeling for the core issues of outliers and robust statistics, and overviews of a good set of techniques for addressing data cleaning issues in a practical but relatively deep manner. It doesn't try to provide cookbook solutions, and instead points out the complexities and leaves the reader with a toolbox to work on tackling them.

The really interested reader will want to augment the book with some other reading, including (on the practical side) a book or website of tips on how to express robust statistics in SQL (the O'Reilly book on TransactSQL has good stuff), and (on the more statistical side) a deeper introduction to robust statistics (e.g. Rousseeuw and Leroy's Robust Regression and Outlier Detection).

In a future edition it would be nice to see more discussion of timeseries outliers, as well as an SQL cookbook that will run on commodity databases of modest size (which is the common case in practice, as opposed to the massive TelCo databases that the authors discuss).

I found this book to be most helpful and filled with good basic information. I highly recommend it, especially for students.

This is the best book for extemporaneous ophthalmic compounding that is available. It may also be the only book for extemporaneous ophthalmic compounding that is available (or not available as the case may be), but that doesn't diminish the fact that it is still both very comprehensive and useful. Lois, you rock!!

Katrina and Rita offered enough lessons to instruct a generation of politicians and experts. The lessons in this textbook apply nationwide, far beyond the gulf coast. It will be up to us voters to make sure that the lessons are applied and the nation does better on future exams.

I used this book as a central guide for study for the 2000 Boards in Family Practice. Unlike typical board review texts using the multiple choice format, this book uses short questions followed by brief answers and review. It made study fun.

This is an outstanding intro accounting textbook because it is clear and concise, and because it gives problems at the end of each chapter as well answers to the odd-numbered questions. Unbelievablely helpful.
