As a Child Care Nurse Consultant, I provide health and education training for numerous childcare centers and homes. This book is a wonderful resource for easing the fears of young children when a docotor's appointment approaches. The exercises in the book are great fun and an excellent opportunity for learning!

We were given this book when my son was two years old. We would give this a hearty recommendation to anyone. Starting at about age 2 1/2 we read this book every day (often twice a day) before, after and during his "physicals" with a toy doctor's kit. This lasted for more than two months -- and he still (at age 3) occasionally asks for the doctor's book and song ("oh the doctor will listen to your heart" -- to the tune of 'She'll be coming round the mountain' -- and its many made up verses!) Anyway, the book itself offered good information which was easy for our son to understand. It offered us a lot of opportunity for discussion about doctors, what they do, why we need to go to the doctor, what happens at a checkup, why the doctor listens to our heart, why they look in our eyes and ears or push down on our tummy and so forth.

This is one of three review books I have found for preparing for the WHNP exam. What I really liked about this review book was the case study format. The short scenarios give enough information to make you think, but not so much as to make the answer a "gimme". The rational for each answer not only explaions the correct answer, but also explains why the other options are incorrect. I have learned a great deal from this text!

Women's Health Case Studies provides an excellent review for the NCC certification exam. If you know the information provided in this book, you will feel very comfortable taking the exam. Covers important information that I did not find in any other source.

This instructional tape is entertaining and very instructive. The vocabulary words are used in short stories in which two actors are constantly explaining the meaning of words and using synonyms without losing fluidity of the story. Then the words are reviewed giving the listener a chance to recall the words after hearing them each in a sentence. Improves vocabulary and is very funny. I recommend this audio 99.99%.

This book contains crucial SAT vocab words, not too many words like some other books do, so you can really learn them in a short period of time. Also, for each words, it gives easy and clear definitions with part of speech and really good example sentences. Memorize all the words in this book, then you'll have a good background vocab for SAT verbal.

We have a 9th grader and a 6th grader. Over the years, we have purchased numerous academic study guides. Vocabulary is a dry topic for most people. We have many vocab books in the house. This is one of the very best.

2.5 years years ago, I bought this book for my daughter who was in 7th grade at the time. I just bought another copy of this book for my son who is in 6th grade. The title says 7-12 grade, but I think the book is appropriate for 6-9th graders who are strong students.

The book contains 30 units, each chapter starts with a list of well chosen list of related words, and then the unit provides exercises to reinforce the unit's words. The activities include crosswrod puzzles,matching columns, jumbles, word finds, complete the sentence, etc.

It is clear that the author put a great deal of thought into word selection and the activities. The activities force students to pick the most appropriate word in context, which is far better than dry memorization. We have many vocab books, most of them are boring. This book makes vocab about as fun as it is possible for vocab to be. Our kids almost like doing the exercises in this book.

I have a 6th grade daughter who I have been homeschooling this year. We have used this as our spelling and vocabulary text and it has been great. The units are manageable and she really liked the excerises that accompanied each unit. I hope there is a second edition, because I would use it.

Great resource for the MRCP part 1+2 with interesting, well thought out and real cases, useful data with some complex problem solving: just like the real thing. Strongly recommended.

This book was great. This book helped my daughter to get an A on her science project.

Wow, don't go cross eyed but if it is a pattern recognition ECG book you need, this is it, you may need to read the companion ECG made easy first - or buy them together.

I have had this book for several years.It is the most helpful that I have seen on fish and shellfish.It does not have a lot of recipes but the information on the different varieties of seafood and fish makes up for the number of recipes. As a Fisherperson, this book has been great to identify the different methods of cleaning and cooking my catch, whatever it is.I am happy to give it"Five Stars".

The Betz Guide is one of those unique books that come along once in a lifetime. It doesn't beat aroound the bush, force you to play detective by hunting for clues amongst a sea of useless knowlege that MCAT book are known to provide. Instead, it goes right to the point, letting you know exactly what you need to study for the MCAT and giving you practice tests that hone those skills. It understands that the process for getting into med school is a difficult one and so makes the task much easier. This is one book that is in a league of its own, outdistancing competitors like Princeton review, barrons and even Kaplan. I recommend this book to anyone who is serious about getting a good score on the MCAT, especially for the physical sciences and the biological sciences. The Betz Guide is precise and to the point, like the future doctors it seeks to inspire.

Good review book, my teacher and my tutor recommended this book for the Global Regents.

Has great exercises and review studies. I highly recommend this book for those taking the regents this year.
