The questions in this book were helpful and seem to be exactly what will be asked on the exam. In fact, they may even be more difficult than the actual exam, which I feel makes it all the more valuable to those preparing for step 2. Another aspect of this book I really enjoyed was that the question blocks were broken up by subject (i.e. peds, surgery, internal medicine, etc.). This helped me realize which subjects I'm good at and which ones I need to work on more. Hopefully this book will help me get a competitive score on the exam.

I am about to graduate from LPN school, and someone told me to get this book. It is worth the money. Of course, I'll have to see if it works, but they give you a perspective that you won't obtain from school. Unfortunately, nursing school teaches you content, and tests you that way. Kaplan seems to show you the real deal!

Since I started drinking kombucha tea a few months ago, I've read several books on the subject. Now that I have read Gunther W. Frank's book, I don't feel the need to read any of the remaining others. He gives complete information about what's known about the culture, different ways to brew the tea, how to store the culture, what to do when problems arise, the effects of drinking the tea, etc. What I particularly like is that he provides all information he has come across, even when he disagrees with it. Unlike some other authors, he's not condescending or proprietary about kombucha.

He seems like a wise person. The final chapter, which is entitled something along the lines of: 'Is Health Really the Most Important Thing?' is worth reading in its own right.

If you are interested in learning about kombucha tea, I'd definitely recommend this book.

Amazingly powerful and understated book

Kum Nye Relaxation Book 1
This is the most amazingly understated book ever.
The exercises seem simple and straight foreword as they open avenues to certain feelings in you - the amazing part is, after you open that feeling flow so it flows through your body, you have established a permanent pathway whereby this "feeling" or "sensation" is available again whenever the opportunity.

Therapeutic to a simply amazing degree and life altering as it opens you to new subtle energy flows that just keep ticking.
This little book gives you entry into a fresh new realm of aliveness that before was hidden under the simple fact that you had to have an opening and practice the moves to open these feelings a few times or have learned this feeling as a child or you just don't feel it and you might not know you don't feel it. It doesn't make a difference if you are emotionally a person of few feelings or if you are a virtuoso who expands on the feeling nature of every person and situation you encounter. These exercises will expand and deepen your "felt reality".
This is a whole new way of being alive. Go for it

Although dated this book is as important today as it was when first published. It offers the disciplined individual an opportunity to discover stress relief through Tibetan yogic postures, pressure points, and meditation activities. A must for any newcomer to the worlds of books on meditation. Tulku's set of books are all exceptional.

You will never want to go to a nursing clinical withouth this book! I found the material to be easily understood and found exactly what I was looking for with it's excellent glossery and index. It is similiar to having a palm pilot in my hands! I was able to impress my instructors and my colleagues with information on diagnosis and labs. What an amazing book!

The recipes in this cookbook take you from Sunday night supper to Wednesday night potluck. It is one of my favorite "go to" cook books. It has the conventional such as roast pork and then the more adventurous such as 'pork salad with mustard soy sauce' or 'medallions of pork with braised fennel and apple-mustard wine sauce'. Have liked them all. My original book is falling apart so am ordering a new one.....

I just completed the book, and was very impress with the concept of the book. There were very inportant points made in the book, and it gives you a lot to think about. If we can get more people to think like this, the world would be a better place.I recommend this book to everyone, and don't just read it to be reading it try to apply some of the insight to your life.Having a positive attitude about life and some of the problems that comes with it,will give you a peace of mind.We do make better decision about things when we are at peace. Each chapter I read,I had to stop and search myself,to see what I needed to do differently.Good job Shaniqua and I wish God's blessing upon you because you are thinking the way he wants all of us to think.

Self Reflection

I honestly enjoyed reading this book because it reflects many of my thoughts and ideas on how people act and see themselves. More important, it reflects on my own self as far as things I do or maybe need to do in order help understand my life choices I've made or need to make. I would encourage everyone to read this book to help understand their lifestyles and the lifestyles of others. It could help to relieve your frustration, stress or jealousness of worrying about other peoples lifestyles or trying to 'Keep up with the Jones' so to speak. Great job Shaniqua.

Critical Care Nursing

I have been using Lippincott's review series since I started nursing school last year. These books are a must have! They are to the point, tells exactly what you need to know and they have review questions. These books are small and weigh almost nothing so they are easy to keep with you. I will be starting Critical Care which will be my last semester! I am so glad that Lippencott came out with Critical Care Review just in time. I haven't started the new semester yet but in my spare time I have been reading through the chapters. I highly reccommend these series! I even got my other classmates hooked too!

This book is indispensible!

I purchased this book about 4 months ago in order to have a quick reference available to me at work. I am a new graduate ICU RN in a VERY busy trauma center, and this book has everything I need to help refresh my memory quickly when I need it. All of the information in this book is organized system by system, so it's easy to find what you need. The information itself is "just the facts." Everything important regarding every subject pertinent to the ICU, including treatment modalities and nursing diagnoses for any medical condition you can think of! Critical things to remember are in bold lettering, so they really stand out on a page. There are illustrations to help "drive home" more complex concepts and procedures, along with countless graphs and tables of information. Also, this book provides review questions at the end of each section for us motivated readers who like to test ourselves. I'm SO glad I found this book. I take it with me every shift, and have even caught veteren RN's thumbing through it, which tells me that it's a great resource for anyone...whether you're still a student, a new graduate, or have been an RN for 20 years. It's also small enough to carry with you anywhere...and at the risk of sounding weird, I do pretty much take it everywhere I go. I LOVE this book!
