I took the Professional test using the Pass-it book and passed easily. I tested last week using the Server Pass-it with a 900. This author does a good job giving you what is (subject wise) on the test. Two months ago I used the CCNA Pass-it. I have just purchased the Windows 2000 Infra Pass-it and will report my progress here>

I am a computer professional and I have always had problems taking any test. I ordered this book and read it from cover to cover. I scheduled the test and passed with a 900. It must have been this book that covered only the material I needed. I was so please with this author's style that I just purchased the 2000 Professional PASS-IT by the same author. If this one works out I see this same guy has just done another one on CCNA and 2000 Infastructure. Let you all know.

This is the first MCSE examination that I took. I thought the test was going to be hard. But this book only included what I needed to pass the test. Because all the filler was left out I was able to concentrate on the important stuff. Easy to read and I passed with flying colors. Wish there were more from this author.

If you don't have time to do too many multiple choice questions which are so common in many review books, then this is the book for you. It's as rapid fire as you can get! It consists of the question and right after it, the answer. Excellent for a quick review and refreshment. I highly recommend this book along with Clinical Laboratory Science Review: A Bottom Line Approach for super great study material for the certification exams. The third edition of this book is out now but Amazon doesn't seem to carry it. This edition consists of 3,000 questions. Wow, just full of the most important information in clinical laboratory science!

ESSENTIAL!!!

I highly recommend this book!! I passed the exam the first time with the minimum 75 questions. This book helps you learn essential test taking strategies to make the most of the nursing knowledge you have obtained. It gives you plenty of chances to practice with a test on CD-Rom and a written test, which both include very detailed rationalizations utilizing the test taking strategies. I found this book very helpful to learn where I went wrong in my thinking when I had choosen the wrong answer on those questions that have at least two options that seem correct and after practice with different questions I wasn't making the same kinds of mistakes. I recommend you practice, practice, practice using the test taking strategies included in this book!!

This book also includes relaxation techniques, which I believe are essential so that you enter the test taking scenario with the right attitude and without too much anxiety.

I have also seen on other websites that this book is recommended for those that are needing to retake the test and for foreign nurses.

The only slight downfall with this book is that it doesn't break down reviewing nursing knowledge into areas of specialty, such as pediatrics, maternity, and etc., it is varied within the test questions. I was however reviewing my nursing knowledge as I practiced the questions and read the rationalizations. If you have weaknesses in specific areas or in nursing knowledge in general, I also recommend the NCLEX-RN Review-Made Incredibly Easy book. The NCLEX-RN Review-Made Incredibly Easy book helps you to review the most basic and essential nursing information in a fun-to-read, easy-to-understand format and helps you to get in the right attitude for the test.

Loved it!

It is in 250 pages, with margins to take and make your own notes (a feature I used and enjoyed). It is in two parts and 18 chapters. The first Neuro Presentations (coma, headache, dizzy, dementia, ataxia). The second is Neuro Disease (vascular, infectious, trauma, demyelinating, metabolic/systemic, movement, Neoplastic, epilepsy, sleep, spinal cord, neuromuscular, pain, pediatric). Each chapter has 4-7 cases. Each case is about 2-3 pages in length. Cases are very interactive and provoking; the questions are followed by the answers/explanations. The case is built in the following manner: history and exam, summarize it, localize (not all), differential diagnosis, obtain further info, narrow the differential diagnosis, management, and prognosis.
In addition, there are informative concise reviews related to the case, for example Status protocol.
I used this book during my oral board preparation, and I found it very helpful. I agree with the two previous reviewers from June 2004.

Fantastic review that helps you think in the style that is tested on the oral boards. An ample amount of cases in which to practice. Not bogged down with irrelevant details. A must-read prior to Part II boards.

Cases are organized by topic, and each has sections on presentation, exam, summary, DDX, evaluation and treatment. Very thought-provoking, and, I'm told, much like the actual process of taking the oral exam.

Don't waste your time sitting in class for another month getting ready for Step 1. Get these books, knuckle down and do ALL of them (it will take well disciplined 7-8 hours of study 6 days per week) and you will do great. That's what I did, I'm no genius, and I still scored in the 96th percentile.

It is highly readable and concise and constitutes an excellent alternative to Miller's textbook of Orthopaedics. however it is more expensive but should be obtained in the year leading up to the examinations. Highly recommended.

I am a second year nursing student, enrolled in a RN program which to say the very least is very challenging. Pharm Phlash is such a helpful tool that I use during my clinical rotations. The information is easy to read and understand. The pictures really help you remember the area of the body the drug is targeted for. Pharm Phlash is much quicker than using a traditional drug reference book. I will continue to use Pharm Phlash after I graduate. I would suggest every nursing student invest in Pharm Phlash and instructors and educational instutions should put Pharm Phlash on their "recommended book" lists. Thanks for publishing such a helpful tool!!!!!!!!

I can never look at these cards enough! They are so colorful and the pictures help identify the systems for each medication. A person can never know enough about medications. As a nurse, you are the patients advocate and it is important to know what you are giving them and what to watch for! Safety is "A" number one! Great box of cards.
