Chris Carlisle has edited a terrific compendium of orthern California non-profits devoted to World peace. An excellent guide.

This directory should be owned by anyone with an interest in Aviation. I also tried they're online version and it has even more information than the print. A couple of the companies had changed their information but this stuff happens. Overall a must have!

"Write On, Woman!" provides women's studies and history scholars and libraries with an excellent detailed record of the 80 women's alternate press periodicals that thrived at the peak of the 1970's Second Wave of U.S. feminism.
At the time of its 1979 publication Kathryn Kendall of the Feminist Writers' Guild National Committee and Instructor at LSU described the 64 page directory as "an exhaustive, up-to-date, accessible reference..its our "Writer's Market."

This is a great book offering guidelines to publishers and agents and is an excellent companion to the CWIM. If you write kidlit and want to be published, get an agent or find out the latest guidelines for magazine and book publishers, this book often has more in its listings than the CWIM. It's great to confirm editor's names and other pertinent info. too. This is the first time I've ordered this book and I'm glad I did. In some ways, I like it even better than the CWIM (Children's writers/illustrators markets)

I found this extremely useful book just last weekend, and it's awesome! The Writers Guide to Magazine Editors and Publishers shows you how to get results fast, whether you're a newbie or a seasoned freelance writer. There are over 300 markets listed, along with writer's guidelines. Each listing includes lots of tips and advice from editors and publishers, often written as an essay.

You'll find helpful articles on contracts, rights, and electronic publishing, as well as the answers to freelancer's most-asked questions. There's an incredible wealth of information here, all much easier to read than those other tiny-print market books. I've already read it cover-to-cover, and marked it up with five different colors of highliters. This book is a must-have for serious freelance writers, in my opionion -- it won't sit idly on your shelf, collecting dust. I know you'll enjoy it -- and use it -- as much as I have! This book is great if you're looking for a career in submitting cartoons , articles, etc. It gives a list of addresses, amount of pay and phone numbers its great!
