great little guide packed full of useful information, but the best part in my opinion is all the discussion of the future of the Kindle, easy to follow writting style

The Kindlefrog does it again! Here's a Kindle guide that's quite, quite different:
It's a VERY quick guide for new Kindle owners that absolutely won't drag you through long-winded writings. Much more concise than Amazon's own guide, it still covers most ALL the "best ways", tricks and extras that you need, or want to know.

These days, you'll see about 7 or 8 Kindle "guides", unexpurgators, decryptors, etc. in the Kindle store. Look for guides that are rated above 1000 in Kindle store sales - there are exactly two - Windwalker's and mine. Both are quite long reads; his covering the well known basics, plus extensive treatment on publishing your ebooks; mine doesn't focus on commercial publishing, but deeply explains every other thing you can do with, to, on, or about your Kindle, while being a little more humorous about it..

If you think you'll mostly buy and read books with your Kindle, maybe those aren't exactly your need, wondrous friendly books though they are. What could be handier for you is something that covers most, but not all of the key topics and best tips, but is precisely arranged for a quick scan or quick lookup. This one does that.

Even better, it's not just a book, but a joyfully effective live browser aid, too - you can check a date, even make notes for that month; AND use built-in Kindle Click links to instantly visit websites you need - like your email, online calendar, or to get directions. And you don't have to mess around typing things in. The LA 411 is the best book for any film maker who needs to know where to find ANYTHING.

This book is an ideal reference guide to anyone seeking to review research on Latino college students and also for helping to prepare a student from a Latino background to enter college and learn of advantages or disadvantages that may exist. I found this text to be comprehensive and the layout to be ideal. It additionally outlines major characteristics. The last section of the text provides thoughtful anecdotes from professionals of Latino backgrounds and their pathways towards achieving success.

Nice to see an inmate doing something good for men and women looking to rehabilite themselves. I know Tony personally many years ago and hope all is well for him and God has truly changed his life, nice to see him writing So many books including his pen name. Thought about him many times over the years, my life will NEVER be the same. Great book, much needed for this time we live in. Hope he reads this sometime, understand he got out in Nov. 2001 wish you well~ Always

This is a really helpful book. It was great to have when I chose a new health plan during Open Enrollment at work. I wish I had this years ago

Deftly edited Barbara Quint (Editor, Searcher Magazine), The Librarian's Internet Survival Guide: Strategies for the High-Tech Reference Desk by Irene E. McDermott (Reference Librarian and Systems Manager, San Marino Public Library, California) is a useful and "user-friendly" instructional guide, especially written for librarians concerned with how they can get the most out of computer search engines, how to find people and public records with a minimum of fuss, tracking down both current and dated news, cyber-shopping, web-based email, creating web pages, computer troubleshooting, and much, much more. Although written and especially recommended for the unique needs and problems of a librarian, this very practical primer can also come in quite handy for any lay user still adjusting to the onset of the information age and what school and community libraries can offer them.

Jenny Semenza's Librarian's Quick Guide To Internet References provides a fine explanation of Internet tools and procedures, listing over 500 web sites in over seventy subjects. From how to make effective use of browsers to search strategies and newsgroups, this profiles methods and sites of broad use to school and public librarians.

As much for destination travelers as browsers, this provides an in-depth survey of London's literary history, listing local bookshops and specialties, settings which have appeared in famous classics, and describing themed walking tours of London. Any with an interest in London - particular those visiting - and literary history will relish this guide.

Reliable and well researched

If you enjoy walking around London, this is a "must" book to have. Written in clear and concise language, the history of London's East End is made available to the reader by the unbelievable buildings that still survive. There's also attention paid to modern additions, such as the Docklands area. All in all, a great reference book that one rely on and build upon.
