I was completing a coaching program with Bob Proctor's organization. The program is called the "Goal Achievers Program". Great program, got alot out of it. Anyway, he quotes Behrend in the program so I bought the book. I loved it so much I keep a copy at the office, in the car, and at home and bought a couple of extras to give as gifts. It powerfully conveys the law of attraction.

I found this book extremely interesting. Written in an 'easy to understand' manner, with a powerful mind exercise to follow It explains our awesome invisible power of our minds/thoughts. I've read it several times and have made notes throughout the book. I've already given a copy to a friend - and she loves it as well.
This is a little book - packed with powerful information.

Ive been researching and studying Mental Sciences for a few months now, and of all the books I have purchased, this is by far the very best. Whereas there are a couple of parts that you may need to read over a second time to understand what she is saying in it, it is by far the most amazing read to date. I will keep this book and re-read it often...

If you want to change the results in your life and to figure out how to do it I recommend this book.

I was introduced to the Shinn books by a good friend. That friend is gone but I still have my books, Ha! I cannot praise her books enough. Like another reviewer said, these books are Christian based but she does have some Eastern philosophy sprinkled throughout that creates a nice balance. Combined with the Abraham/Esther and Jerry Hicks books, Florence Scovel Shinn books pack a powerful POSITIVE punch. Her books will lift your spirit in your darkest moments.

Great Affirmations and an understanding of our connection to the Divine; and how to utilize the beliefs of the time, to get an idea across. Very astute and enlightened; and to think she wrote and spoke about this before 1906 before women could vote and when they had few legal rights.

Every woman should read this book!

Amanda Easton's The Last Love Letter was without a doubt a different read. Amanda does have creativity when it comes to writing and creating literature. The book which is focused on one women venting is about an old relationship. You get the feel of the characters emotions and take a walk through her life. I do however wish there was more of a setting and a story line. You may like the book, but it will defiantly need more attention grabbing techniques. Amanda is very talented and I am sure her next book will be better. This story was interesting and the fact it's written from a woman's point a view adds a plus. I do give the book three stars in hopes the next book will be better.

Obsessive Exploration

Review Date: 2008-08-21
It took me a moment to get it, to remove my preconceived notions about
what a love letter should be, and my amazement that someone wrote an
entire book that contained just one love letter. After reading a few
pages, I shook my head, closed the book and exhaled. Instead, I examined
the appealing cover and studied the lovely drawn woman. Then the
subtitle caught my eye: "The First Step Is Admitting You Have a
Problem.." With a smile, I finally caught the rhythm of this work and
immersed myself in its incredibly, emotional words.

Amanda Easton scripted and published a Spoken Word masterpiece, giving
the reader a glimpse into her soul. She reveals the heart and mind of a
true poetess, a real writer; obsessively enraptured with someone who
barely knows her and certainly doesn't love her. To that, I can
certainly relate, and therein lies the genius of this work. After her
accusations, cloaked in victimization, and her indictments, drenched in
righteous indignation, the truth seeps out. The truth that many of us
face: searching for fulfillment in the idea of love, regardless of the
man we demand love us.

Amanda's Easton's delivery is engaging. Sometimes tumultuous, and
other times downright hilarious, she makes the reader cringe with
embarrassment and laugh out loud at her sarcasm. With clever
metaphors, careful themes and colorful descriptions, this love letter
displays the intimate crevices of the heart. But her truthful
realization is the gem of this emotional collection. She
examines herself with a clarity that most of us avoid, for fear of what
we would see. She discusses how flawed, hurt and possibly unlovable we
really are.

One of my favorite passages of the love letter comes during her
discovery. "And some of us are slightly deranged, Gorgeous girls, Who
give good love, Looking for our Daddy, In every stranger we touch."

This work is very clever, witty, and unflinching. Amanda Easton's THE
LAST LOVE LETTER is simply a classic.

A crush can take a long time to die, especially if it's never acted upon. "The Last Love Letter" is Amanda Easton's story about letting go and the law of attraction. She tries to write a final love letter to the object of her affections, but she finds it's nowhere as easy as it sounds. In the process she ends up discussing love, romance, sex, honesty, expectations, and other things sought along the road to companionship. "The Last Love Letter" is a first person dive into the subject, sure to enlighten and entertain anyone who would pick it up.

Amanda Eastern takes us thought a time in her life when she was hopelessly in love with a man who, could not, would not return her love. She is reminiscing about a love letter she wrote to him. This letter is to a man she has loved for 12 years.

I know most women if not all have been in love with someone who could not, would not love us back. I know most of us have been hurt at one point or another to the point where we never thought we would come back from it. I know most of us have loved the wrong man at some point in our lives. This book it that story. Amanda opens up her heart to say all the things went wrong her relationship and more. I give her credit for putting out there for the world to see.

I personally just could not get into this book. I found myself wondering how in GODS name you could love a man for all those years. I mean it seem evident to me he was not interested. This book was like a lot of rambling to me. Like it more of conversation with her self instead of trying to get her point across in a book. I also felt that a lot of trails she went though with this man was more so on her part that the low self esteemed she had for self ALLOWED this man to put her thought the wringer. I felt most of problem begin and ended with her as all the signs were there.

I am happy to see that she did discover some self-love for herself if not entirely for her but for her daughter also. The editing was great. Give her that also.

THE LAST LOVE LETTER was quite a different read for me. Amanda Easton bares her soul, literally, as she puts her thoughts, feelings and emotions to paper. It was a courageous move and I applaud the author. It's not always easy for one to express their feelings, but Easton fluently conveys her passion. THE LAST LOVE LETTER is an unforgettable book that I'd recommend to all young women.

"Life" by Lauren Tratar is an excellent book that delves into some astonishing information about the nature of personal reality, negative energy vortex, adamantine particles, and magnetic evidence. This is a very valuable workbook and guide. Firstly the reader explores their present beliefs, and then identifies what is wanted out of life, and finally how to use the law of attraction to manifest what you really want.

Also included are some extremely vlauable tools to guide you back on your path if you've lost your way.

A must read for anyone who is serious about personal self development work.

Purporting to unveil the secret behind The Secret this book is a confused mish-mash New Age philosophy and pop psychology.

On the positive side, this book is physically quite attractive. The binder and section dividers feature lovely photographs and I thought the format was promising. The problem, however is in the contents. The author's style is clumsily self-conscious and she doesn't have an original idea.(In all fairness, there is not much new on the Law of Attraction. The trick is in a fresh presentation.) The book is packed with quotations of other people's works and song lyrics. Apparently, the author once ordered one book and another, a book of inspirational quotations, came instead She found this book wonderfully inspirational and each chapter features not just one or two quotes, but sometimes pages of them. Sorry, if I wanted to read Conversations with God I, II and III, The Nature of Personal Reality or any of the others she relies on, I would not have been reading her book. This over reliance on quotes is disruptive and contributes to the careful, term paperish effect.

This book quickly loses focus, jumping wildly from a clunky law of attraction formula to a recitation of the author's traumatic and abusive childhood and journey through different recovery modalities. While I credit her for addressing these challenges, it reads like a bad episode of Dr. Phil. It is somewhat troubling that she disparages the classic twelve step method as it does not fit within the precepts of her message.

The author refers to her higher self as "Angel". If you subscribe to the traditional definition of angels as being messengers of God, you will find his usage jarring.

If you are interested in the law of Attraction, there are many fine books that present it in an accessible manner. You can't go wrong with the classic Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder. The Abraham -Hicks materials provide a contemporary look at the law of attraction as do the Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale and Lynne Grabhorn's Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting. Michale Losier's Law of Attraction workbook is simple but effective while The Sedona Method and Larry Crane's Abundance Course are superb tutorials on releasing. If you opt for this offering you will receive a really neat binder and a headache.

An Important Book for All
Helpful Votes: 22 out of 23 total.
Review Date: 2005-06-15
This is one of those books that can truly change your life - if approached with an open mind...

Within "A New Beginning", the author discusses the laws of the universe, and how by following these laws, one can achieve the life they want. This book is about how important our thoughts are in creating our experiences, including how they attract certain "types" of people into our lives. Exercises are also included to help you utilize these universal laws to attract those experiences/people that you DO WANT, instead of those you'd like to avoid.

It's shown that we are responsible for EVERYTHING we experience, as we are the creators of our current life experiences - therefore, it no longer makes sense to spend time blaming others for our plight. Instead, we need to figure out where we miscreated, and fix it by creating what we do want instead.

Although everything makes a lot of sense, and I can see how my thoughts have impacted my life, I still have 1 question... and that is re: the horrible experiences that some children go through - I'm uncertain as to how they brought those experiences into their lives. But I feel certain that I'll gain a greater understanding of this as I research the other works by this author further.

As a side note, the information included in this book was obtained through the channeling of ABRAHAM - a group of entities in the non-physical universe - through Esther Hicks.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in changing some aspect of their life; those interested in universal laws; and those interested in communications from the other side.

I would also recommend that you read "The Power of Intention" by Wayne Dyer, as this is another excellent book on the power of our thoughts, and how we can literally change our life by changing our thoughts.

The best of the Abraham-Hicks books

A New Beginning I : Handbook for Joyous Survival is the best of the Abrahm-Hicks series and can be considered to contain the main messages of Abraham. The other books by Jerry and Esther Hicks are sequels to this edition and contain elaborative information on the teachings in this book. This book easily presents to the reader a philosophy of the creation of personal experience. Like in the Seth books by Jane Roberts, the non-physical entities repeat to us the message that we are the creators of our own life-experiences, through the constant application of the laws of the universe consciously or by default. A new beginning presents us with a practical guide on the way of creating our life-experiences consciously and deliberately the way we want. I recommend this book highly and as supplements, all the Abraham-Hicks books. I also recommend all the Seth books. As they fit together beautifully. A must to every seeker's library.

Universal Truth

This book is one of the many books that speak of the Universal laws and Truths of manifesting. I was quite disappointed by one of the readers who reviewed this book and implied at the end of the review that this material could have possibly been plagerzied by a well known spiritual and motivational teacher. Universal laws and truths have existed throughout the ages and the truths are uncovered on a soul level when the spirit is ready to receive them. They are not the discovery or copyright of solely one individual. Source has many methods and many mouthpieces, each bringing and teaching Truth in their own way.

As with many other books on the laws of manifesting, this book adequately outlines the universal laws and gives some great insights. What sets it above most of the others is that it provides non-abstract methods to actually apply these laws without alot of the new age lingo. I also really enjoyed its reading format - sometimes the smaller print books can bother the eyes!

Enjoy this fabulous book. I would also definitley recommend A New Beginning II.

This book predicted earthquakes on the eastern and western coasts, and the south, and northwestern portions of the US in 1988. Of course, it could still happen...

I have trouble grabbing the big picture and wrapping my mind around the notion we "choose to return to our physical manifestations". I see handicapped, neglected, homeless people and I wonder if an entity actually chose this?

I recently listened to a recording of one of the Abraham channelings. It was interesting. What exactly does Jerry Hicks do?

I listened to this cd every other night for 2 weeks; the other nights I listened to Kelly Howell's Secret to Attracting Wealth. Everything was fine for those 2 weeks. The Cd's were very relaxing and even helped put me to sleep. On the following Mionday morning, things went to hell. For over 2 weeks now, I have had an ever-present dull headache with frequent intermittent crushing pains, mostly in the back of my head. Plus I have often felt at times that I am out-of-body and have even had to leave work. I know this is from these cd's; there is nothing else it could be. I am very healthy, 33 years old, and no history of anything like this. Plus the morning I first awoke with the symptoms, I felt like I was still stuck in the meditative state, like I was stuck between being awake and dreaming. I contacted the brain sync company multiple times, and after about 10 days they finally got back to me and said it wasn't their cd's and that I should seek medical attention. Everything checked out fine with my physician, but my ongoing research on the negative effects associated with meditation has only solidifed my belief that these brain-wave entrainment cd's are highly dangerous. If you want to research for yourself, run a search on the following: meditation, hypersynchrony, intercranial pressure, harmful effects of meditation, etc. I look back and wonder why I was so dumb to trust anything that would alter my brainwaves. Let this be a warning to everyone.

I found this meditation during a time when my life was overwhelmed with fear. I am a full time student, 52 years of age, and a follower of The Secret, but I would wake up in the mornings with this ache in my heart and fear of the unknown. I was not sure what this meditation was going to be like, but have used it every night for the last 3 weeks and how my outlook has changed. The smallest to the greatest area has been affected. My fear about driving to and from school, how I internalize others perceptions of daily encounters, and my grades have been amazing. There is a track that is quiet and I am able to use my own affirmations about the abundance in my life, how I am giving and receiving love and how my school work is improving. Thanks for the opportunity to express how this has changed my life, I have recommended this CD to many of my school friends. Liz Taylor

this is great. i like being able to loop whichever part of the meditation i'd like to use.

again for those wanting to know what the words being said are, it is U.S. Anderson's words. It goes like this:

"I know that I am pure spirit, that I always have been, and that I always will be. There is inside me a place of confidence and quietness and security where all things are known and understood. This is the Universal Mind, God, of which I am a part and which responds to me as I ask of it. This universal mind knows the answer to all of my problems, and even now the answers are speeding their way to me. I needn't struggle for them; I needn't worry or strive for them. When the time comes, the answers will be there. I give my problems to the great mind of God; I let go of them, confident that the correct answers will return to me when they are needed. Through the great law of attraction, everything in life that I need for my work and fulfillment will come to me. It is not necessary that I strain about this, only believe. For in the strength of my belief, my faith will make it so. I see the hand of divine intelligence all about me, in the flower, the tree, the brook, the meadow. I know that the intelligence that created all these things is in me and around me and that I can call upon it for my slightest need. I know that my body is a manifestation of pure spirit and that spirit is perfect; therefore my body is perfect also. I enjoy life, for each day brings a constant demonstration of the power and wonder of the universe and myself. I am confident. I am serene. I am sure. No matter what obstacle or undesirable circumstance crosses my path, I refuse to accept it, for it is nothing but illusion. There can be no obstacle or undesirable circumstance to the mind of God, which is in me, and around me, and serves me now."

there's more to the meditation, this is just the first part, and on this 2nd volume, the words are spoken to you...like "you are pure in spirit, you always have been..."

Gerry did a good job in breaking it down for the Fellas. Writing in a language that most men can relate too may prove beneficial for some. However, I did get bored with the b-ball analogies. I turly felt there were just too many, but I did understand and agree with some of the points being made.

Another piece to the puzzle

First of all, I have to say that it's refreshing to hear a man talk about how to physically please a woman in such detail, as a woman's sexuality is indeed complex on so many levels. It is obvious that the author took the time to know what he was talking about. I was impressed with the attention the author gives to a woman's emotional and spiritual needs as well. This book was definitely an easy read. I read both volumes in about 4 hours. My only question is, Does the key to a sucessful relationship really live in these books? I think this is just a piece of the puzzle. The author tailors the language for men with layers of sports analogies and "game time" advice which gets the point across but a little tiring at times. Especially when most women automatically assume that a man is running game and therefore insincere. In volume II, he offers pretty much anything you need to know about making your sex life as exciting as it can be...Now, that's what I'm talking about. Something is missing, though. As we evolve as couples and individuals, there are many factors that come into play which definitely affect our intimate relationships. For example: careers, physical changes (especially women), children, ambition...you see where I'm going. I don't think men really understand the changes women experience throughout life and how profound they are. Take a woman in her 30s. A high percentage are career professionals, mothers, etc. Myself included in this category. We aren't supposed to be freaky and hot but here's a newsflash. We are freakier and hotter that ever! There are a lot of men that don't take advantage of it. Take note gentlemen, there is nothing like a woman in her thirties! All in all, you can see that Straight Talk has definitely been thought provoking for me. It's just another piece to the puzzle of continued growth. Thank you for your perspective Mr. Wright.

This book should be required reading for every young man...would be a great gift of love to give from a caring brother..or a caring girlfriend. Striaght Talk is a delightful read....bought it as a gift for a young friend and read it cover to cover myself!!! In straight, honest, and amusing style the author unveils things about love and loving that every man should know...and every woman would benefit to read too. I loved the down to earth messages conveyed frankly and without preaching. This book reaches out to the younger crowd in its language and style but the information would be invaluable to couples of any age. Great book...loved it!!!!!

Finally!!! No psycho babble, just plain old english!!!!

Straight Talk Volumes 1&2 is not for just a man or a woman. It is a brilliantly articulated account of the couple who wants to advance to the most fulfilling relationship imaginable. It should be must reading for young adults who begin to search for lasting love and for any one who has felt like they have failed at love. It is also not for the faint of heart man who is too scared to travel to the depths of his soul to find out that pleasing his woman leads to pleasing himself! It is in language that anyone will understand and goes straight to the core of truth seldom acknowledged by men. It is captivating and sets Cupid free with some new arrows!

"Straight Talk" is one of the best relationship books I've read in quite a while. Gerry's writing style is both contemporary and to the point, which makes the 2 volume set an enjoyable read. I'll have to admit, initially I was very skeptical based on the plethora of "relationship" books currently on the market. But after reading a few chapters I was locked in. My relationship with my wife has already begun to benefit as a result of the insight I received. Straight Talk is a must read, especially for those guys that want to move the sexual aspect of their relationship into the "turbo lane".

An important chapter in the history of Magneto

This story is quite different form most other X-Men collections in that most of its chapters are only loosely inter-related, and by far the main character is Magneto as opposed to the heroes themselves. This tale had been brewing in the X-Men and related books for quite some time, and mainly picks up the saga of Magneto, their greatest rival, following the events in (New) X-Men #s1-3 (collected in X-Men: Mutant Genesis), which is considered by many to be one of the greatest X-Men stories of all time (art and writing both).

The story is choppy due its determined effort to keep the focus on the leading characters of the titles in which each chapter first appeared in terms of their reaction to the latest (with many more to follow) resurrection of Magneto. Before Magneto make is return public, the Acolytes, mutants who follow (the memory of) Magneto with religious zeal battle X-Factor following their horrific slaughter of hospital patients, and make a failed attempt to draft his son, Quicksilver. The self-styled mutant messiah has developed a god-complex, and seeks to save the uninfected and those he see as worthy mutants from the ravages of the legacy virus unleashed by Stryfe at the end of the X-Cutioners Song story-line. To do this, he has salvaged the Celestial starship that once house Apocalypse, X-Factor and more recently Cable, a sort of improved Asteroid M. A new group of Acolytes is gathered around him, Fabian Cortez's treachery is revealed, and the mysterious and powerful Exodus serves as his herald.

Magneto goes about his quest as self appointed savior of mutant kind and as expected butt heads with the X-Men and all related parties. Several X-Men suffer tremendously at his hands, but in the end Xavier is forced to make a rash decision that will have dire repercussions in the days to come.

Up sides: Magneto took Xavier's role as headmaster of the school for a time, when he had reformed, and mentored the New Mutants. His confrontation with X-Force addresses this major and mostly forgotten piece of X-Men history, as well as addressing the relationship between Cable and the ship that was once his that Magneto claimed for his own. Later, when Magneto crashes Illyana's funeral at the Xavier estate, a long time X-Man and fan favorite turns his back on the X-Men and joins Magneto.

Down sides: The action involving Magneto directly is muted and extremely brief. The effort to bring in every X-Men related title of the day was pretty hit-or-miss; some stories were just brilliant while others seemed forced efforts, at best. Yet the only real problem I have with Fatal Attractions is how Wolverine was tampered with unnecessarily. What he suffered at the hands of Magneto was brutal and innovative (although when it happened I was not too pleased with the tampering in the essential fabric of one of the major X-Men characters) it was just a rehashing of the worn-out thread of making him more savage and blah blah... I think this was about the third or fourth time his humanity was diminished in as many years, and had run its course as an interesting characterization ploy. From a distance and in the context of this collection alone, it's not so bad, but in the overall scheme it's just beating a dead horse. "Its time of year again, Wolverine needs to be more savage!"

Overall, this is a great story, and fans of Magneto will greatly appreciate it, while fans of Wolverine might enjoy it less so. However, it is by far not one of the best X-Men stories out there, and those who are new-commers or not hard core fans will be a little lost as it draws from and bridges several other stories that for the most part do not show up in other collected editions, rather than being self-contained.

X-men fatal attractions was a wonderful book and I liked it a lot, Marvel does a wonderful job in bringing out the action in this book and keeping me at the edge of my seat. This book puts an interesting perspective on being normal; it makes you think "what does normal really mean?" and if it's something you want to be. If you're into X-men books then this is the perfect book for you. But my favorite part of the book is the artwork. I don't know how the illustrator does it but the artwork is just amazing to look at. I would give this book a four out of five. This book begins with the son of magneto, Quicksilver, joining the X -men in a battle against his father's follower's the Acolytes. Quicksilver doesn't want to believe in the dream that his father laid down for him but then something happens so unexpected that I'm going to make you finish the book now (lots of Laughs) hehehehehehehehehe.fi

Fatal Attractions collects X-Factor #92, X-Force #25, Uncanny X-Men #304, X-Men #25, Wolverine #75, and Excalibur #71. When Magneto returns to his Acolytes and becomes more of a threat to humanity than ever before, all of the X-teams become engaged in battle in this then shocking cross over; the effects of which were felt in the X-books for almost a decade. Many memorable moments are to be found here including the fight between Magneto and Cable which leaves Cable a bloody, ripped apart mess, Colossus betraying the X-Men and siding with Magneto, Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Wolverine's body, and the final showdown between Magneto and Professor X; the culmination of which would create the Onslaught storyline years later which crossed through every Marvel title and caused the deaths of the Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, and countless other heroes. If your interested in picking this collection up, I'd go for the single issues (each of which had really cool covers with an attached hologram card) instead of this TPB. All in all, this is one of the most dramatic X-stories in years, and undoubtadly one of the best.

I can still remember the shock and amazement on my face nearly ten years ago when this storyline appeared in the X-titles. Here we see the return of Magneto, the greatest enemy of the X-Men, ready to bring his plan of mutant domination to a head. Dramatic moments are aplenty here, most of which would effect all the X-titles until the end of the decade. The scenes of seeing Magneto using his power to rip the adamantium out of Wolverine's body still gives me chills, not to mention the unforgettable final battle between Professor X and Magneto, the culmination of which would later go on in the "Onslaught" storyline that would cross through nearly every Marvel Comics title and cause the death of Avengers and Fantastic Four. All in all, "Fatal Attractions" may not be the best X-Men TPB to get, but it is very dramatic and completely unforgetable.

Book provides excellent accounts of Edgar Cayce readings. In fact, that is what 95% of the book focuses on. I was hoping the book would also provide insight into soul mate relationships.

Great for Understanding Relationships

Have you ever had the experience of meeting someone for the first time--male or female--that you instantly "knew" they were someone you'd known before--that sense of déjà vu? These are some of the soul mates Kevin Todeschi describes in Edgar Cayce on Soul Mates. They are people you have known in a previous lifetime.

Because I met my husband first in a dream, before I met him in real life, the subject of soul mates is near and dear to my heart. Is he a soul mate or a twin soul? This is one of the books I consulted when writing about my experiences in When We Were Gods: Insights on Atlantis, Past Lives, Angelic Beings of Light and Spiritual Awakening.

Todeschi also makes it clear that a person may be your soul mate but your relationship is not all heavenly. The both of you are together to learn from each other and to grow spiritually. In addition, you may not have that déjà vu experience, but still, just about everyone you're involved with in this life, you have known before--even the ones who are part of difficult relationships.

I liked how Todeschi explains the Edgar Cayce readings on the intricacies of attraction: both romantic and also the attraction to all the people with whom you've had relationships . . . plus the attraction people feel to you.

Many parents dream about their children before they are born . . . some before the child is conceived. Because this book deals with the interactions between family members in the context of reincarnation, it makes sense that an in-coming soul would communicate with its future parents.

The study of relationships is close to all of our hearts. This is a great book on the topic. It delves more deeply than many others because it takes into account that we are eternal souls and that our present-day relationships are built on many previous lifetimes.

Edgar Cayce on soulmates, is writen by Kevin Todeschi, based on Edgar Cayce's readings!!!
It's a wonderful book, it gives you insights in the couple relationships as much as in other relationships in your life.
I got out of this book a much clearer understanding as to the dinamics of the significant relationships in my life, even as to what is that I have to work out in them.
All of this put in such delightful way that I couldn't put the book down every time I started reading!!!
This book has definetely been of great help to my life!!!

As with nearly all books that are firmly based on the Edgar Cayce readings, this one is the best you will find on the topic. Kevin Todeschi has long been associated with Cayce's foundation, the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE), and he is very familiar with the Cayce readings. As such, he focuses his writing on the spiritual principles behind the soul mate concept, rather than the "lonely hearts" stuff that so many of these books offer.

Until I became familiar with Cayce, I thought the entire idea of a soul mate was laughable. That's because I was under the mis-impression that a soul mate was supposedly one's single and only true love, and my own life experience belied that idea. I know that it is possible to love deeply several, if not many, individuals within a single lifetime, so the idea that there is one and only one person with whom I would be compatible seemed ridiculous. Then I read Cayce and learned that soul mates are far more to each other than romantic lovers. Rather, soul mates help one another move toward spiritual goals. This can just as often manifest as hostility toward one another as romantic love.

Even more important to my understanding of reality, I learned from this book that each of us has many soul mates, which makes sense to me intuitively and explains a lot of odd, sometimes difficult, but always compelling relationships that I have had throughout my life. Todeshi clearly articulates the spiritual principles behind the soul mate phenomenen, and I believe that one can rely on these principles because they came from Edgar Cayce, whose authenticity is heavily documented and whose readings have usually proved correct over time.

If you are not familiar with Edgar Cayce and his readings, I recommend that you pick up some basic books on his work from the ARE, in addition to this book by Todeshi on soul mates. One especially good ARE publication you might want to check out is A Place We Call Home, by Robert Grant, who is another long-time Cacye student.

I spend about 5 minutes each night writing in this journal- and it completely shifts my energy! Great way to end each day instead of the evening news. This gratitude journal is realistic and do-able, it has just enough room to jot down the 5 things I'm most grateful for that day. I actually find myself held "accountable" by the fact that I don't like seeing a blank date if I happen to miss a day. It's set up so 1 week = 2 pages...but you can start it any time of any year and it's good for a year from then. This journal makes sense and works!
Thanks Jack and D.D.-I AM GRATEFUL!
